Could we please stop the hostility, guys?

Yes, this is a very basic guide and you all know about this (and so do I), but apparently many people don't know about this. I see tons of people struggling with survivability and always remind them of this - even if they *know* about this they might have forgotten about this. In terms of forum submission rules, this is also a nice example of a video submission accompanied by text; I didn't have to watch the video to know what it's about.

If you have nothing to say to OP then say nothing, but you're all shining a bad light on DFans and its community, so please stop this awful commentary. It's making you look really bad (also, @Zt1mQ, it was 1492 and not 1496).

I'm personally very surprised, because many of the "top streamers" and "top Youtubers" create very basic guides just like this one on a daily basis - and they make a living off of it. I don't see a lot of negative commentary towards those popular guys when their guide (which contains zero information for me personally) hits the frontpage on Reddit with a thousand upvotes. But there's no reason why only those people are allowed to create guides (and granted, despite their thousand upvotes they sometimes contain errors).

Thank you. I had no idea that this was a viable option and hearing everyone hassling OP made me feel like a ****head, then reminded me of the being in a GameFAQs forum.

Potpourri and Huckleberryphlegm are also awesome.

Then you dont deserve the new stash tab.

If you cant be bothered to put in the effort required to get the reward you shouldnt get it. Not everyone deserves a participation trophy, its a weird idea in this society, but just sometimes you actually have to do something to get a benefit, and in this case blizzard is giving people the reward who create a brand new character, dont have any of their old gear, and work from scratch.

Its not gated behind anything ridiculously hard, its not even the reward for the last conquest (which can be tough) and you get a free set. Its easily acquirable in 20-40 hours of casual playing.

Its cool if you dont want to play seasons, but to demand you get the reward that people who are actually putting the effort are getting is hilarious.

This. I know I suck, but if I want it I need to step up my game and not whine like a baby on the internet (or the official Diablo forums *cough cough*) for free hand outs. It's a nice reward tier for the people who've really put in the time for this game to get good at it, and the great thing about it is that it isn't openly advertised so the people who aren't going to really get it aren't tantalized by it.

Casual: Someone who is completely overwhelmed by the information on this board and feels inadequate that people are commenting how easy getting the stash is, talking about getting to paragon 500 in two days is obvious, etc.

CrazyZ1430: Hmmm, split bounties sounds like a good idea. Especially if it means I'm not really playing with others and just trying to get crafting materials. I didn't even know that there were shrines that could summon goblins. That's freakin' awesome! Haven't seen a vault portal yet. One day. For the group stuff, yeah, nobody likes that guy. Do your **** during downtime, not on our time as we say for different yet applicable things.

Thanks for the tips. Pub gaming now sounds a bit more inviting.

JAH8177: I'll take a look at that for Wizard. Biggest reason why I'm running wizard is that I've dabbled in everyone and he is just so far behind everyone else, it's really sad. (WD doing really well despite being setless.) Dropping Torment for speed...seems obvious now that you bring it up, the ol' time/compensation equation. I'll definitely give that a shot. Definitely close out rifts because of the loot.
Actually, I do have a question for you. Socketing gear that isn't helm/weapon. I tend to pretty much go straight diamond. Yay/nay/situational?

Potpourri: Not a big fan on joining randoms, but nothing wrong with playing with others in an established group. Thank you, something worth looking into.

    k33zhe:
    1. Own it, using it, noticed that it was buggy. My wizard goes from kicking butt to getting his butt kicked depending on the whims of the set.
    2. Would be a smart idea.
    3. I do have greater keys, but I pretty much use them almost immediately. The message I'm getting is that I should be saving my GRKeys for either higher level rifts exclusively or do so in groups.
    4. As I've mentioned to the previous poster, I'm not a fan of D3 pubs. Still, reinforcements for a community/guild wouldn't hurt.

Thank you both for your time and tips.

Hello! I'm very new to the meta and the only reason I'm posting to begin with is that this place looks to be both respectful and helpful to all skill tiers. Right now, the only thing really holding me back is a complete lack of knowledge and I would be grateful to anyone willing to share their wisdom. To give you guys a look at my fundamental knowledge, it took almost 6 hours to hit 70 with a fresh season solo wizard without dipping below T2. Probably slow to the meta, but I don't think there's any problems there.

I've noticed the builds section and that is a plethora of knowledge I'll need to research, but right now I've been stuck in the quagmire of getting the gear/resources to push into the higher levels. Haedrig's gift has been the first set I've been able to complete and only time I've been able to play at T6 where my previous strongest can kind of go through T4. I've figured out that avoiding trash mobs in bounties helps improve the times, but that hasn't been really enough.

I thank you in advance for any help you would be willing to give.
