posted a message on Jay Wilson's Guide and Tips to each class!
The wizzard and the DH vids basically told us: have single target n00b
The WD and the monk vids were more like an introduction to the class, then a special build, rather than an always useful tip.
Only the barbarian tip felt useful, about mostly getting killed because you get surrounded by enemies.
    Great vids tho.

Study like a boss, because I will have 2 exams on the 16th, and I really can't afford to fail on either of them. This will be my program on the 15th as well, except that as soon as they deliver my D3 I'll install it, play a few hours with my friends then jumpkick someone in the face because Blizzard had to release D3 now, when I have the most important exams of the university.

Hy guys. I'd like to ask someone who tried it in the beta: how does this skill work? Does it work only on normal attacks, or every spell, or only single target spells? AFAIK you can't really have a button assigned only to normal attacks.
Also I'd like to know if this skill worth anything at all. I've seen a lot of DH builds, but none of them picked this skill. Is a 3 sec immobilisation every 10 sec worth anything compared to several stuns/slows we have.

posted a message on DH can't solo an instagib inferno. EVER!
You talk about the DH being a glass cannon with almost no deffensive spells, so you completely ignored my (no so nice, but pointmaking) post, so here again, now in list form:
    • Shadow power's Gloom -Reduce damage taken
    • Numbing Traps - reduce damage dealt
    • Evasive Fire -Evade fast/teleporting mobs
    • Smoke Screen - invisible
    • Sentry Turret's Guardian turret - reduce damage taken
    • Slows, stuns, immoblilisation and fear
    • Several spellrunes that return life on hit
    • Mother fucking Vault
    • To some extent strafe, because you can hit them, while running around
    • Some + movementspeed
You said that Vault is worthless against teleporters (which I doubt) and that stuns slows etc. are no good (which I, yet again, doubt).
So unless you can have some great theory why these things on the list wont work, /thread

Please tell me how Shadow power's Gloom rune isn't a great damage reduction. Please tell me how the Numbing Traps passive won't reduce the damage dealt. Please tell me how evasive fire isn't an option. Please tell me how the guardian turret won't reduce the damage taken.
    TEACH ME MASTER!
Edit: I forgot to add the several life regen runes, that replenish health on hit.

posted a message on 4 weeks until i beat inferno
This topic is soo much lolz.
Just a note: In the Beta zombie dogs died so fast against SK's whirlwind, that they barely made any difference, and SK still teleported on me, when they were up. Take this into consideration on your "mad" quest of immortality.
I personally expect inferno to be beaten by Athene (or someone like him and his team) around 1-1,5 month after release, and 3 by "normal" people.

posted a message on Skill you will never use in any Wizard build
I don't like Mirror Image and Magic weapon, but every other is a possible spell in my wizbuild.
On the other hand, I'd like to defend energy twister, it has potential later on (Hell, Inferno), where mobs die slowly, and you have to kite more, and this spell will shine at that point. In the beta when we got this spell a bit late, and it's just normal. We oneshot mobs and obviously energy twisters slowish killing speed isn't preferred.

posted a message on Open Beta changed my perception and view on classes.
    Pre Beta:
    1. Demon hunter
    2. Barbarian
    3. Wizzard
    4. Monk
    5. Witch Doctor
    Post Beta:
    1. Wizzard
    2. Barbarian/Witch Doctor
    4. Monk
    5. Demon Hunter
Vault or not, I didn't find it fun to run away from monsters even at this low level, while my wizzard was so strong, that even in a 3player co-op game I tore through monsters before my melee friends could even lift a finger.

posted a message on What are your thoughts on the beta?
First of all, the game is awesome. I have more that 16 hours of gameplay, and it only got a bit boring for the last hours, when I had outlevelled and outgeared the content and went through the chatedral for the 50th time. But when you first play through, it's so damn interesting, and every time you see a blue dropping, you pick it up with high hope.
Now about the classes (in order of playthrough):
Demon Hunter: I played with this class first, because I planned to play with it as my first char and.... meh. I know, that later on the DH will get more, better Aoe spells, but it feels so lacking in the beta. On the first run you get to around lvl 9, and your AoE is non-existent. And what spells you have on later levels are also lacking: a hard to aim chakram, a low damage entangling shot, or a delayed bola shoot. The single target damage with rapid fire and impale is great, but in this beta, without Aoe, it feels wrong. The resource system also seems to be a problem. The hatred generators feel weak (even though they mostly have the same damage as the Barb's and the Monk's). Whenever I'm out of hatred I spam the hatred generators out of obligation not because I enjoy it. The discipline is fine, though if you use it up because you vault and trap like a boss, you have to wait A LOT until it fills up. At least the DH is the most mobile class in the game and with proper CC she can kite forever (though she needs it, because of the low damage output)
Witch Doctor: Until the beta, I didn't have much interest in the class, but this class is a blast. The DoT-like abilities feel good (corpse spiders, zombie dogs etc.), yet he still has some great abilities for "instant" damage (bats, toads), and the best CC of all classes. I love it. If only the voice wouldn't be soo annoying...
Barbarian: As I expected, a well balanced high damage tankis hero, who can stunlock Leoric. The fury generators are satisfying and feel strong. With a hight damage two handed sword I cleaved through the whole beta without usin anything else other than some leap attacks. The same can be said about the fury spenders, they are fun.
Monk: This class is also nice. I missed the daibo from the beta, but one handed weapons are also great on the Monk. He's fast, strong and deals great AoE damage. A bit higher spirit generation would be welcome, but the problem might lie in my weapons.
Wizzard: The wizzard is OP (at least in the beta). Great single target damage, even better Aoe and nice CC. I can't fint even one thing, that I'd change on this class. If everything will remain unchanged, the wizzard will be my first class.
Overall I gad a lot of fun, my only wish is some DH adjustment.

posted a message on Reign of Vengeance cost no hatred?
With such a long cooldown, I'd say it's right. The wizzard's Meteor and blizzard spells have similar effects (aoe, high damage) and they have no CD, in exchange they have a decent amount of AP cost.

Uh, guys, chill out. The whole thing is still in the phase of fine tuniing. When the hatred generatorts came out for the first time I whined as well, but Blizzard made it, that I actually like this system. Have faith, that they will give you a balanced game. Numbers changed and will change, even after release.
