Sep 26, 2013Bleu42 posted a message on New Datamined Patch - Class Changes, Passive Effects, Character slots, Stat caps, Quests, and MUCH morePosted in: NewsQuote from Highborne_D2
Stat caps, needed to make any game stop the power creep and allow for proper itemization, now to see random properties go the way of the dinosaur on legendary items to truly make them unique and great.
Also lower the power of legendary items to about 85% of the best rolled rare, but keep the affixes as being unique and only allow primary stat/class specific stats to change (if can be used by multiple classes). That way rares still are sought after.
There, I just fixed itemization.
I have to completely disagree on the legendary part. They tried making rares have a chance at being the best items, because on paper it sounded awesome to always be searching for an upgrade, even after you found your legendary.
In practice, the overwhelming majority hated it. Thus, patch 1.04 (which only kind of sort of not really helped, but kind of).
Legendaries are just that, LEGENDARY, they need to be able to compete with the best, or it just feels lame. -

Haha. About time. I was tired of everyone trying to Faceroll this shit to glory. 95% of the time you joined a group that had a barb in it? What did you see? Some idiot thats miles before the group tricking GOB's. Yeah the spec is really great for AoE, But you still got to have ST damage. They cant really do anything but a fury builder against gobs which in most cases your not going to kill them on MP10.
I wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't for the fact that so many are BAD at that spec. Everytime I am in a group I see them WW into Arcane rape me nodes and get insta gibed. WW barbs dying left and right and there's me tanking like a boss in the middle of 3 elite packs lol.
So yeah . Please die WW barbs. Die in a hole in the ground alone and try and come up with your own specs or builds. With old stats gaining new purposes and with weapon throw becoming a fury builder I am ready for RoS.
Wait WW Barbs are dying, what is happening what did I miss?
PS
I'd like to see Barbs forced into some diversity as well.
Yep.
The WW runspeed rune is changed to pull enemies in when you use it.
The battle rage rune 'into the fray' no longer grants fury on critical hits.
The WOTB rune 'thrive on chaos' is now changed to give you a LoH boost for the duration.
I'm stoked about the changes personally, because this game is about efficiency. I can handle not having the MOST ideal spec and still have fun, but there's just nothing compared to WW when you're looking for CC immunity, speed, AOE damage and even pretty good single target damage. -

Nah it's more likely that we're still figuring out if there's anything else worth sharing.. and that can also take some time (you know, double checking stuff). Good for now?Quote from Azjenco
I wonder why the diablofans guys are avoiding this question so intently... It's as if they're afraid they're going to give some sort of surprise away.Quote from Bleu42
I'm still curious, can anyone answer if this is it for the datamined updates? (until they load new stuff up?) Or are there still things you guys are trying to flesh out?
Boooo! What, are you working for Blizz now ?? -

Whoa, there... we don't need your 'caution' and your 'facts'. We're discussing Blizzard's greed and short-sightedness, here.
Yeah, who cares about facts! And caution? What's that?
Blizzard is such a scam, such a greedy company... selling a game that wears out after just a few 500 hours of playing and offering nothing but a few content patches every year. And they dare to put their game up for a usual price tag, similar to that of other games such as awesome shooters with recycled engines and at least 5 hour single-player enjoyment.
How short-sighted of Blizzard. Thank god I'm not buying the console version anyways.
AND, and, don't forget, they added a RMAH JUST so they can MAKE MONEY!!! Either Blizzard purposely doesn't make any money off any of their games or they give all their profits to charity. I won't be a part of some big company making money so they can expand and pay their employees.
Those dirtbags. -

Wait, I didn't quite get that. So they are releasing the patch 1.08 on the official servers right? This is not yet another patch for the PTR?
The rumor is the patch is coming out tonight (this morning) because it's been loaded onto the LIVE patch servers. From my understanding, there's PTR servers, Live servers, than live patch servers. I think. -

Me thinks tomorrow !Posted in: News

Blizzard is too afraid to make actual items (not versions of the same item) super rare again. Therefore we get ancients, and primals. Can't wait to farm the exact same item 100 times hoping the stats are higher.
Just the mere idea that we can't have super rare, hard to find items again like in D2 BECAUSE a small amount of people will whine that they can't find it during a season is depressing.
I don't think we'll ever get an actual Diablo game again. It'l be this same arcade 'rare'-items-rain-down crap over and over.
Anyway, yea OP you're correct.

I would absolutely pay for cosmetics
dyes / pets / xmog / portraits / banners / wings, you name it.
Hell I'd pay for boxes that are randomized. Whatever it takes for Blizzard to take this game seriously.

Quick thought; can they just be called primal legendaries? Primal ancient legendary just is a little gobbled up ya know?
0
This isn't fixing any problems. However, unless 2 hand bows are bugged, I crafted over 200 on the ptr and didn't see any. So, just another stat increase sure, but at least they feel rare.
3
Honestly I would have actually liked this idea if you couldn't craft them.
0
Of which I replied saying there's no possible way they could pull that off.
0
Because they're calling it a 'character pack', I'll bet money there will never be another D3 expansion outright.
I wish they'd just tell us if there is something such as a D4 planned, but that would kill D3 even more. But on the other hand, it's dead in my eyes anyway. So whatchya gonna do.

Pretty much what LordOfTerror said.
I'm always grateful for free content (although the necro isn't free), what I'm complaining about is the lack thereof. It's been years since RoS came out, and it'l be a minimum of two years IF we ever see an expansion again, which I don't think we will. They wouldn't split up content, over a year, if they could package it all and sell it at the end of the year as a 40$ expansion.
D3 is in maintenance mode. We're getting a cool new class in 6+ months, two new zones (wooooo) at another time, and some QoL changes at another time. Challenge rifts are just a simple tiny band-aid to try to even out a playing field, but you don't even get to use your own gear. Or your own build. I've pointed out over and over again WHY Grifts are broken (mainly because they are infinite in difficulty), so I won't go into it now. If Blizzard is fine with the state of the game, then there's really nothing I can do.
So, ya a tiny bit of content, with nothing meaningful for the rest of the year besides one class you have to pay for. Not very encouraging.

There won't be any new game mechanics for a long time guys, and we're still looking at 6 + months until the Necro.
Remember, one of the biggest draws of an expansion in almost every Blizzard game is a new class, and they announced that 8 months AHEAD of it dropping. If they had new game play mechanics coming as well, then they could have easily bundled the Nerco, new mechanics, and the new zones they announced into an actual expansion.
All we're getting, that we have to pay for, is the Necro. If there's any hope of actual mechanically new content, such as jewels / runes and runewords / charms and the talisman / actual new ACTS or story, ect, it'l be in an expansion, which is two + years away.

I vote DH.

Oooooh, hahaha nice. Glad you figured it out!

Dumb question, but did you click the box to the right on that season page? I haven't gotten far enough this season to see if it's still a thing but I remember last season after a certain level you had to manually click the box to show the next stage of quests.

I just updated my razer stuff today, apparently it's been while. Works great though for D3. Nice touches imo, such as a color change when you've used a big CD like WoTB or Archon, and it flashes red when you're close to death / ect.
Also, had no idea OverWatch did the same thing with the keyboard; custom colors and setups for every hero, flashes for when you get your ult, cool things like sweeping colors when you're lucio ect.
But yea, OP, make sure you updated your firmware.
