Every now and then when attempting to login, my game keeps telling me I need to patch, and closes/reopens the client so it can do so... but it never actually downloads anything to suggest that it patched.
Still unable to login. Anyone else having any luck?
Considering that handling champion mobs will be a very important part of inferno, and that they can be knocked back by certain skills, I still see tons of value in the knock back moves : p.
I was wondering if anyone ever bothered to test/acquire info on the WD's zombie dogs, such as their max hp, and figure out if their durability is linked at all to the WD, whether through armor, or vit items, or if it's limited to passives only.
So far the only clue I have is that they got one shotted by the skeleton king =p. Too bad I didn't test it when I had the chance. Only now is this sort of information become relevant to my interests xD
Man, it really seems like tank barbs are going to be boss. The stuns combined with the knock backs are a lot of disruption. Multiple barbs doing this will leave little room for monsters to attack, even in inferno, assuming a 75-85% cc reduction on mobs.
Seems like a barb synergies better with another barb than it does with a wiz or w/e squishy : p.
I'm not asking how the basic move works, I'm asking if it breaks CC like the DH's smoke screen does.
As in: you are feared, stunned, snared, anything, press spirit walk button, will you break out of said CC and start the spirit walk, just like the DH can break out of CC with snoke screen?
Anyone who's able to post on the official D3 forums, could you please ask for a blue post regarding how CC skills work when used in succession?
For instance: 4 wizards: 7.65 second cooldown on Frost Nova's 3 second freeze with the cooldown reduction mastery. 4 wizards can freeze something for 12 seconds just by timing all freezes in succession, but each can reuse the move well before they would ever need to again.
4 barbs doing ground slam for a 4 second stun, with a 12 second cooldown also means a mob could be perma stunned just with some teamwork.
This kind of thing obviously won't work, but without any information, blizz is just sort of setting us up to want to try some sort of cheesy CC lock strats, without telling us that it won't work or why.
Could someone please post in the official D3 forums and ask for some clues on the PvE croud control mechanics? Do higher difficulties take reduced CC by default? Or is there some sort of diminishing return that puts a complete end to chain Stunning/freezing. Does it affect fears or random chance stuns, too?
So, the DH's smokescreen removes all forms of CC when it it used, does anyone know if the WD's spirit walk does the same thing? I'm sure some have used it when it was in an older beta patch, but I'll bet not many actually tested it vs cc >.>.
Another bump! Just saying this thread is still valid, and still looking for anyone who's serious rushing through the D3 content/farming end game asap, with organized team play on vent. Successful gaming background is preferred!!

Sorry for the double post. It's been a long time since anyone has posted in here, which is expected because there aren't very many people out there who have the intentions of serious sweat shop style farming.
Just giving this a bump to show that we are still looking. We are four strong so far. All with good play hours and all with successful competitive gaming backgrounds.

This thread is not about QQing at barb's being OP or anything like that. This thread is only to discuss what people think about skills that "increase your damage by x%" and how they multiply your total damage, and also crits and how they multiply your total damage as well. Previous posts explain why these formulas will centralize people's stat builds and skill choices simply because they provide the most damage.
If you didn't read previously, a barb with crimson frenzy and crimson battle rage does over triple his total damage. It's really just an example of how their power is just kinda gross... try to find a build that can even match a barb with those two skills. Is it even possible (I doubt it)? That's over centralizing if I ever saw it.

So far it appears that a WD can break CC with spirit walk, while a DH can break CC with smoke screen.
I've tested to at least find out that a wiz can use diamond skin while feared, though it won't break the CC, it is still usable.
