Reading around the d3 forums, reddit and dfans we decided to tackle on GR 35 without a DH class to prove it's possible to get higher GR's without one in your group. A bit messy clear but still completed.

posted a message on need advice on what to do now
Armor Skill - Honestly unless you are running Cold Blooded passive the Frozen Storm isn't doing much for you. At 28% weapon damage it's maybe doing 100-200k a second. Either use the passive that adds 60% armor on physical hit if you want to continue to use Ice Armor or swap to Force Armor / Prismatic to increase your survive ability.

Attempt to maintain a 2.0 APS for your current build. You could potentially switch your Familiar to Cannoneer if you are around 2.0 and you'd get more damage out of it. 240% weapon damage AoE 2 times every second will easily make up for the 10% sheet you may lose. And since you are grouping them up with black hole, it'll be much more effective.

If you have or get one, a ball of hate would compliment your build greatly to use chain lightning or forked lightning when you get one. Lightning all over the place for those stuns / shadow clones.

    Otherwise looks pretty good!

posted a message on Cow level does exist.
Got this rift a few days ago. I was lucky enough to get the 'Jar of Souls' type event in my cow level rift as well. Each cow killed granted me 1.6m exp at Torment 1 and had another rare mob to kill at the end of the event. Unfortunately my stream video was deleted and I was not able to capture the event on level 3 of the rift.

With your insane DPS, I don't think you *need* LS (unless you want to roflstomp your way through MP10 with Archon). What about LaK (life after each kill)? Jaetch has started suggesting it a while ago, and many think it's helpful; the more DPS you have, the faster you kill (if MP is not too high), and therefore you get a constant stream of LaK healing. Keep in mind that LaK, other than LS, can roll on rings/amulet, too ;-)

True. Although I don't find myself farming higher MP alot. It doesn't feel efficient even though i'm still techincally 'leveling' it doesn't give that aspect of 'fun'. I'm usually farming high MP's with friends or when they want an uber run, but even then I find myself just swapping to my monk for the surviveability aspect if I ever need it.

I still miss d2's playstyle alot, there was a point where I'd have my java or bowazon mowing down herds of cows or my trapsin lighting off lightning traps everywhere. I like the feeling of being overpowered and when I first started this wiz, that's what I went for first. Kill it before it even gets to you and you don't have to worry about it. :)

I'm just randomly spamming my guide in every thread, but... how cares. It has a BiS list, and your equip is slowly moving into the direction of this BiS list, so maybe it'll be helpful. :P

I don't think 10 int more on boots will be any less cheaper than a Mempo with crit. And does it really need to be 6%? I guess you would even gain some DPS from a "near perfect", but not exactly perfect crit Mempo. Likewise, I guess a 6/6/6 Triumvirate with higher/same average damage and more int would cost a fortune, too. Like I said, your equip is getting close to any BiS list, so I'd just suggest what any BiS list would tell you, too:
    • Eventually, rare amulets are better than Tal Rasha's - in theory. Have you tried crafting some?
    • You obviously tried to craft bracers, but they will never get you the DPS of a perfect Lacuni.
    • Rare rings will always come out on top, if you get a "quinfecta" (trifecta IAS/CC/CD plus average damage and int).
    • In this price range, I guess every upgrade is insane. But your weapon is still 260 DPS short of a BiS sword... try to get one with some int and similar stats.
No idea what your budget is like, your equip is already way out of my league. Awesome gear. But I think reading through my guide should give you some ideas that'll give you a better bang for your buck than upgrading 10 int on your boots for a couple of million gold...

Edit: I second Jaetch's opinion that your EHP is lacking, but you stated in your OP that you were looking for a DPS upgrade, so I didn't even touch EHP. But yeah, EHP. Okay, touched upon it.

Thanks for the post, the guide is very well informed. I've kept my eye out for a mempo but since the Tal's has such a high int roll, even a 3.5% crit one with 9ias and ~180 int is a side grade. Got the trium already so that'll work, an extra 7k hp.

I haven't tried crafting any ammies yet for the tals, the +% damage and extra 3% tals bonus was just too hard to beat. I am sitting on about 130 brims so as I farm the essences I can attempt to toss them that way.

Understood on the Bracer aspect, I also rolled pretty low int (compareatively) and I could hope to drop the MF for some AR. I have looked at lacuni's but finding a 6% crit/int/vit or int/AR pair is horrendous.

Always looking for rings as well, I think the unity in terms of DPS is hard to beat due to the high int roll and average damage.

I agree that the cost overall is insane though :) I've been looking at weapons, and I'd love to get some LS back in there. When I think of a choice of an EF though, it's either Crit Damage or LS - too tough to choose, and in hopes of getting one with both as a rare is very hard to come by. I think at this point I may have to just bite the bullet and take the dps loss for something a bit more comfortable?

Thanks again for the info to both of you :)

Your EHP is severely lacking. I don't know if you switch to a life steal weapon, but a single blast on three to four Reflect mobs will melt you instantaneously.

Your Triumvirate can use work. Why do you have APoC on it? If you want to run Archon, you can sell that Trium for a decent amount of gold and get one with double int roll with vitality or just int+vit with similar DPS stats.

You'll need to tack on serious resistance and/or armor to be able to handle anything outside of MP4-5 without kiting and switching to a life steal weapon. Your DPS is high enough for MP10, but you won't be able to last a few hits.

Oyyy... and you run Glass Cannon...

The Reflects Damage mobs now aren't a problem, I used to use a life steal weapon when Reflect was a full time gig, with it now, it's pretty easy to avoid. Granted finding a weapon with raw dps and life steal to match what I have now is really difficult.

Finding a suitable trium without apoc shouldn't be too hard. The reason I had this one is because I found it. Got really lucky I suppose.

I normally farm on mp7 pretty effortlessly, if something becomes too troublesome I drop out of archon and just use living lighting/diamond skin, with the high crit chance it's almost always up. Glass cannon is usually swapped to Paralysis on high MP.

So I've been looking at ways to upgrade and I'm not sure what to do at this point. For the longest time I've just gone raw dps and I can continue to upgrade, but I don't know where I'll get the best improvement.

    http://us.battle.net...1341/hero/47773

The boots I could get another 10 int on, the pants I can get another 9. I've started looking at a Trium without APOC and rolled double int which will get me another 16-20k. I understand a 6% crit mempo is ideal but holy god expensive.

Any words of advice would be appreciated...

posted a message on What are you Farming?
I'm not looking for absolute detail, I just want to get an idea of where or which act you guys are farming?

And do you feel the time you spend is worth it for the drops you are getting?

Lately I've been farming Act 3 Inferno. I've been running this for a week now. I would like to try Act 4, but I'm getting roflstomped by Rakanoth.

For a place that should be dropping ilvl 63 gear, it sure doesn't feel like it. I get the occasional good rolls but for something that takes that much effort, it doesn't feel rewarding enough. Slighty too due to the fact that I would prefer to play with friends as well, but 4x A3 Champ packs (You know, for those fast, invunerable minion packs) is just insane.

    How are you guys doing?
