posted a message on 2.0 finally here. What are your impressions thus far?
I found 3 upgrades for my WD and 1 for my barb last night, and a legendary belt that was sort of a side-grade. What I like about loot 2.0 is that these drops make me ponder swapping out a build to try something else out. I'm a zombie bear whore for sure, but when you start getting +% to abilities on different pieces plus all the other cool stats, it's worth trying something new!

Overall, the gameplay feels different, but I greatly enjoy it. I appreciate the assets loading faster, so I'm not dying from my PC freezing up as it loads everything for the first time. I like the darker feel, paragon 2.0, and pretty much everything else that has been delivered to us. My least favorite thing about yesterday is the spectral hound vanity thing. It just seems out of place.

posted a message on Will we be replacing are gear in 2.01?
I didn't have any efficient MP10 farming characters before the patch, so I'm sure I will find upgrades here and there across the board that will keep me glued until RoS launch.

it does not want to start ,anyone similar problems?
The estimated downtime is for another hour. If there are any hiccups, it could be longer. Let's hope not, I'd like to start slaying stuff when I get home from work.

I bet that the official forums will be flooded tomorrow with topics like "Loot 2.0 sucks every item is worse then my BiS MP10 gear".
Hell will be frozen over the day when the official forums aren't flooded with "<Insert anything D3 related> sucks."

posted a message on Are you keeping your main hero or switching?
Started off as a barb at launch, then fell in love with WD gameplay to this date, but I'll re-roll crusader for RoS and work on maxxing out the rest afterwards. Although I'm already stoked to play with loot 2.0, people's excitement is even more infectious.

Looking forward to all the new QQ threads that will appear, because we all need the entertainment from butthurt people.
All I know is that the D3 release was probably the most entertaining release ever.
You must not have played many games at launch, then. A jammed up login queue is far from the worst (or entertaining as you put it) to have happened at launch. Just curious why you created a thread asking about what people are excited about when you clearly have no intentions of buying RoS from another thread- regardless of what people say.

posted a message on 2.0 will be live in two weeks, Wings of Valor for pre-purchase.
I'm guessing you will, Beryy. I remember when they offered the Infernal Helm for everyone who pre-ordered D3 on the console, but the helm came with the game way after it was released.

posted a message on ROS on last gen consoles
I bought an XBox One instead of a PS4 (personal preference) thinking that RoS would be a sure-thing, and boy was I wrong. Who really knows what's going to happen with consoles. I loved the hell out of D3 on the XBox 360, so I thought I was making a safe bet with the next gen consoles.

I figured that I had a snowball's chance in hell of ever getting into the ESO beta, until you guys opened up the contest to everyone. After signing up, a key was generated to my surprise and now I'm downloading the patcher!

Between RoS and ESO coming out soon to consume all my free time, I'm so stoked to finally get into one of these betas, and it's all because of Curse! Thanks again!

So what? That's not right for people who choose not to buy the expansion. I'm buying the expansion so it doesnt bother me. But you shouldnt kill a game off just because people dont want to upgrade. I'm almost as big as a Blizz defender as you are but not that far.
What games have you played where Vanilla meant anything after an expansion came out? I find it hard to believe that there is truly anyone out there that loves Vanilla D3 so much but is so appalled by RoS that they will continue steadily playing without upgrading. Loot 2.0 should be enough for those who can't scrape together $40.

Or we could get back on topic and acknowledge that this game still contains 95% of JW's ideas and concepts

I'm amazed you took the time to dissect my post with your opinions about my point of view and end it with this gem. I tried re-reading your comments, but all you did was take my points and go off on an illogical tangent. The sword fighting comment instead of golfing makes no sense, but I laughed.

^ then there's what my much-more-well-informed-than-me mate, Overneathe, said.

I'm sure the new director has some sweet ideas in store for us, and I'm eagerly waiting to see them, but until we've actually seen such ideas we can't take the credit away from the dev team and the previous director.

I'm taking nothing away from the dev team, as I've been a supporter for them throughout all the complaints and hate for the game. But with JW gone, there is an atmosphere now that appears to be more open-minded with the community, flexible, and eager to keep making the game better.

As an example, one of the biggest complaints about the game was how badly the chat system sucked and lacked innovation. JW pretty much told us tough crap, get over it. All of a sudden, Heart of the Swarm comes out with the ideas demanded by the player base, and then bam, Diablo's chat gets an upgrade.

And just because JW was at the helm with the patches mentioned by you guys, it doesn't mean they were his ideas - it just means he gets credit for it. Behind the scenes, he could have fought vehemently against those additions, and we wouldn't know. My company had a record year in profits last year, so the president of our company got all the credit... but there is only much you contribute being on the golf course 4 days a week.

Interesting that these changes come with Jay Wilson no longer at the helm. Who do we thank?
