Ahem, let me start over. Before the the release push-back to early 2012 announcement made yesterday, there was a collective idea that they were going to announce the real release date at Blizzcon this October.
After the push-back, does this seem less likely? If Blizzard is unable to announce a set release date at Blizzcon, what else will they be able to announce at Blizzcon? A few things come to mind:
-Runestone system
-Alternate PvP modes
-Easter Egg content(?)
And of course, the beta key giveaways, which will probably be something like this...
They really need to find the best releasable content and just patch it as we play... it's going to change 360 degrees regardless. This is obscene, makes me not want to play. For the past 6 years I've been playing other games just passing time, all I've truly been waiting for / want to play is Diablo 3. This is a upset to say the least. I've been began educating myself, reading these forums, and for once interacting with the outside community rather than nerding D2 HCC any with harder effort than my team already has put forth.

This is bullshit. 7+ months of (internal) testing, and this is what we get? I think this is a ploy just to string out a few more WoW subscriptions for patch 4.3 in the meantime. Diablo III will likely release 1 month after the Deathwing raid has been completed on heroic mode. Calling it here and now.

It's cool, this actually perked my interest because I'm taking statistics for the 2nd time and I hate... beyond belief. So I find this post interesting none the less, and no one wanted to contribute, and rather bash the idea. If you don't want to contribute to his/her idea that's fine, but there's no need to belittle others.
I've always feared they wouldn't have made it for this year.
At the press event they were still talking about ideas up in the air (about the changes to the runes system), and that was a first sign.
Them overhauling the DH, finding bugs in the AH all pointed in the same direction. Releasing such a big game needs a LOT of testing, and if they change even small things they will need to test extensively whatever they changed.
Let's take into account the recent changes to spell damage on Wizards. This will delay the release even more, changing something this substantial means they need to check a lot of stuff.
Also, the impression I got from the item database they officially posted, is that itemization is still very rough, and they need to work much more on it.
Outlook is quite grim, I am under the impression that they can't test properly. How could the DH resource starvation problem go unnoticed before going into beta?

Are you in the beta? If you want anything remotely useful you'd want the stats of those already invited. I have not so I won't post anything. Just posting everyone who opted in's system info is even more pointless.
