Depends what's your defenition of oneshot. Soul reapers in baracks/Golgores can tear through that stats in couple sec, or getting vortexed into fire chains/molten with leap on cd can do the same - against those your best part is to run through baracks, kill siegebreaker and start doing Ceadae/Asmo runs - they're easier and you can always skip some elites, go to next tower lvl and pick remaining stacks in either baracks first lvl or in zone with signal fires.

Myself have 900 resist all/1100 phys res/9600 armor (with enchantress)/50K hp/14K dps (more with full rage and berserker rage)/350 LoH (find it useless since i'm rarely standing there right clicking elites and for trash got revenge/furious charge). Was doing siegebreaker 5NV with even stats with you (lower resists - about 800 and the same 350 LoH).

    Runing with this build: http://eu.battle.net...RVkS!bcV!aaZccc

Still have to skip some retarded packs, not affix wise but mob wise. Good thing with this build you can pretty much run with wholle zone on your back. Average Cyadea/Asmo run takes 40-60 min.

Barbarian if you don't have lots of cash to fund high AS/LoH monk, with less then 5mil investment in barb i'm clearing full act 3 and doing Cydaea/Asmo 5xNV with minor problems whille to clear act 3 on monk i need stupidly overpriced items.

That's absolutly sick gear m8, with 1/3 investments i would faceroll as sword and board. Nevertheless thanks a lot for pointing out that Cydaea/Asmo is a better run then siegebreaker - done it twice just now, not only champs/elites are easier compared to one leading to Siegebreaker but indeed 2-3 goblins spawned along the way both times (killed none, damn my gear - 18.5K dps under berseker rage and no steroid skill to kill goblin). Only retarded elites are soul rippers but i simply skip them, go to next lvl and get remaining NV stacks in starting zone of Act 3.

P.S. Scorpion champs are just lol, always glad to see them))

Soul Rippers are bitches for all. Seriously such an overpowered mob.

OT: you need much more LoH my friend, dmg is fine to clear champs/elites in time to avoid enrage. And yes, switch to keen eye deadly reach, it's that good for both kiting and boosting defence.

Makes sense. What would you recommend as a minimum value for loh to stay topped off most of the time?

You don't need LoH till you replace all your items with to reach under warcry 50-60K hp/ 700-800 resist all/~1K phys resist/~10K armor. LoH items are probably the most expensive once, so instead of buying 1-2 of them you can upgrade your full set and results will be plenty better then with 600 LoH but gimped primary stats.

Totally agree with this, life on hit is the last piece of the puzzle to put the icing on the cake. :)
My resists are really crap compared to what most others suggest, maybe 350 unbuffed, yet I don't lose hp on Belial except for the bombing in p3, fist and breath are no problem. Not that they deal zero damage, but I get that much back before he strikes again.

Belial is the worst example you could think off - with zero LoH i tanked and spanked Belial only moving for meteors, he spawns enough globes to ignore him alltogether. After i switched Ouroboros (100 str/400 LoH/x/x/x amulet) to barb from monk killing Belial was no different then before.

Besides the more you're moving around the lower LoH value becomes and in Act 3 with ~56K hp/1050 phys res/~750 resists all/ ~900 fire resist/10K armor/400 LoH i can't stand in champions/elites face without iron impact/ignore pain up, becouse some are hitting for 7-9K through all my defences (not even mentioning how much you can get bursted for if they vortex you into arcane beam/desecration/anything else). So between dodging abilities/kiting to wait for cds there's not so much time i'm freenzy-clicking them. Meanwhille with high HP pool i can at least get decent heals from dreadnaught charge/revenge procs not to mention that white mob zergs becomes trivial.

Tbh playing monk i expected LoH to be really good for barbs becouse of 75% freenzy attack speed, but now i realise that between blind/serenity/deadly reach range and aoe factor monks benefit much more from LoH then barbs. I don't argue that LoH is a good stat, but it's at the same time most expensive stat that should be looked at after getting enough defensive stats to survive sticky situations and enough offensive stats to kill champs/elites before hiting enrage (18-18.5K dps with Berserker Rage passive).

P.S. Author asked what he needs to be ready for act 2 and advising him to get LoH items for insane prices instead of much cheaper way too boost his defensive stats is counterproductive unless he's going to spend serious cash in RMAH.

Start by droping pure dps items like amulet/gloves and low resist items. Search for all resists/phys resist/vit affixes, really often you can get them for affordable price - especially legs. Rare amultes and rings costs a lot, switch them for blue once with vit/all resist - those aren't overpriced. Sell your AS ring - can raise some cash with it. Buy blue weapon with 100str/100vit combination, they cost not much if you aim for 800 dps once (and 100 str affix will boost it by another ~100). Sell your helm of command and buy another one with socket and + armor affix, such helm would cost about 500-600K, but 15% hp from amethyst you craft yourself is strong.

All in all you're too high on dps and too low on resists/vitality/armor. Actually vitality is extremly low for unknown reason, given that both armor and survivability skills are scaling with it.

This is an a2 spec. You strongly need loh. Roughly 500 is good enough for act2. Your resists are still too low for a2, you need like 900 and physical should be around 1000. I don't know what your vit is but judging by 999 it's low. You want 45-50k+

Don't need LoH for act 2 at all, walked over it on barb with 48K hp/11K dps (about 14K under berserker rage)/~650 all resists and 900 phys resist under warcry/9500 armor under warcry and enchantres buff.

    Used this build: http://eu.battle.net...VSkP!bVc!aacccZ

Could do 5NV Kull/Belial runs faster then on my better geared monk with stats listed above.

Upgraded stats over past couple days to 56K hp/~750 resits all/1050 phys resist/~10K armor/14.5K dps (~18 with berserker rage) and yestoday done two 5xNV siegebreaker runs (swaped wrath of the berseker for ignore pain). Using my monks Ouroboros amulet with 90 str and 400 LoH (resist/Loh amulets costs way more then i can afford atm), have to say that LoH is barely noticable becouse there's no way i can stand in champs/elites face without ignore pain/iron impact up unless they've some pathetic affix combination.

P.S. Have to mention that if Tyrael was still doing 40K dmg/hit it'd be piss easy to farm siegebreaker, too bad he hits like a wet noodle now.

OT: It's hard to give you advice looking on general character window - would be much easier for all trying to help if you would post gear screenshot.

That may've to do with your build. Monk with fists of thunder - thunderclap rune can obliterate goblin in seconds, change for cripling wave and it becomes many times harder.

I'm perfectly fine with curent system. This way you can't counter elite packs/bosses, you need to find optimal build working for different situations.

To say that current system limits amount of viable builds is wrong - skill disbalance ruins is what forces ppls into narrow path with little choices. Take WD - half/runes skills are bad design, 30% are inferior to other 20% and most are stuck with more or less similar builds. When Blizzard will look into class/skill/rune balance gameplay will get more interesting.

posted a message on How to fund my barbarian?
Had 3mil on my monk, dumped them into barbarian as soon as scored 60 (had couple of not bad resist all/vit/str items too). Safely cruised through act 1-2 with 50K hp/11K dps/9500 armor/750ish all res + 1050 phys res. Doing 5NV Belial runs is easy, act 3 regular mobs are easy but elites are too tought to farm them reliably - i can kill some, but about 50% walk over me.

The long story short: to get through act 1-2 inferno you don't really need much cash, to farm act 3 you need some serious money.

P.S. Shame Tirael abuse ended before i had a chance to use it for my own benefits.

Where might you be at in the game little boy? Did you lose your mommy? Is that why you are in here spewing venom laced sarcasm?

Or he's completly right and that's what will happen? Also same thing will happen going from Act 2 to Act 3. In middle of Act 3 my monk need 1KK+ upgrades for armor slots/2KK+ upgrades for jewelery slots and 7-10KK upgrades for weapon slot to be able to farm... upgrades that i already bought.

Good ridance, although many who abused him are already miles ahead of those who didn't (me included) it's still satisfying that such a ways of farming are getting rid of. Dunno why Blizz won't hotfix drop rates for ilvl 63 items instead of waiting till patch 1.03.
