Thanks for the replies everyone! I appreciate it as I have been trying to catch up on all of this. So sounds like the levels of your Witch Doctor will affect the skills! I'm liking this quite a bit... I just hope I can build a somewhat decent army of summons and even fading summons like the "Big Bad Voodoo" to create somewhat of a balance to survive even the harder difficulties. Heres my idea for my build you all are welcome to throw me some pointers!

there are several forum articals about this already but basically thats the spell damage if you where not wearing gear
with gear comes stats and with stats comes a scale in damage. there is no lvling up of skills in D3 that idea was scrapped and replaced with the rune system.

Oh I see! Sorry man I've been trying to absorb all of this info as of late I appreciate the response. So the leveling of skills will really be more like the leveling of the Runestones? Is that the idea? Or am I missing the point? Thanks man.

    PvE WD:

Just meant as my first char to do some running to get items. I just felt that the WD suited me best.
Wall of Zombies for keeping the monsters away from me and the summons to engage while i hang back and toss spells.

However, I'm a bit unsure about the Gargantuan spell. Any tips?

I'd try the Cleave ability with the Indigo runestone since it's 700% physical damage to multiple targets but that's just my 2 cents my friend.

Heres my rough idea for an almost strict Summoner Player Versus Monster build:

You've got the ability to take down enemies that are immune to physical with your Haunt ability

Hey so I was playing around with the Skill Calculator for Witch Doctor and I noticed that the skill Fetish Army isn't available until you're level 29. But... The damage of the Fetish Army is only 14 to 25 physical damage! So surely, that isn't like just 1 point and that's it right? I mean surely you can level these to level 10 or something? Cause I dunno how useful a lot of these skills would be for a summoner class in Hell or Inferno difficulty... If I wanted to be a more of a caster I would play Wizard... Not a class that is just gonna cast spells that sorta look like summons and then fade away. Ya know? :/

So I was playing around with the Skill calculator for the Witch doctor and I realized... That some of the skills seem kind of weak to me. Example, the Fetish Army skill for the Witch Doctor you get it at lvl 29 but it says it does 14 to 25 physical damage... Now unless the monsters in Diablo 3 are going to be a lot less weaker than say Diablo 2 in Hell Difficulty... Uh... Surely thats just the starting lvl 1 damage right? I mean you can level these to lvl 10 or something right? Thanks for reading and or replying.
