It is a fun distraction for a few bucks, but,
* no multiplayer.
* no great replay value.
* too easy to cheat, much like diablo 1.

Sep 24, 2011The fun bit was the enchanting system. It had no limits really, your uber enchanted weapon would be truly unique.Posted in: Torchlight
The bad bit, was the enchanting system. Your awesome bow could turn from the most godly item ever, to the most worthless piece of crap on a vendor in the blink of an eye.
And you would have paid a ton for getting it into that state.
I'd rather have seen a big "failed" message, and lost twice the gold instead of having it turned into toilet paper T_T
The pet is amusing, it's nice to send it to town to sell your junk much as we'll have the horadric cube in D3
And then there were the bugs... so many, and all of them "known" but never resolved.
Poor devs never allowed to fix them because the managers want TL2 done and ready.
Blizzard is much better in that aspect, at least we have seen a ton of fixes on D1 and D2 even years after their release.
Torchlight hasn't really seen much love even after weeks of it's release.
Stupid hierloom health bug....

What ARE you talking about?
I could google it,,. but still, your post is kind of random.
Sep 24, 2011Have a cursor fixed to the front of your character so you can rotate the character to aim at the corpse, and then attach a button on your controller to simulate a right click.Posted in: Warcraft & WoW
If those chinese farmer bots can do it, I'm sure you can find a way to do it with an actual controller ^^

Sep 23, 2011A good mouse pad - is a cloth mouse pad.Posted in: General Discussion (non-Diablo)
Glass, wood, metal,,. ugh no.
I got an old peoplesoft cloth pad, it's BIG unlike most modern mousepads which are simply too small to allow for comfortable gaming.

Worth it yes, good deal? Hmm. probably not.
A game like diablo doesn't need THAT much download speed.
A 5 MB download should be more than enough, and 1 MB upload.
But, it's always nice to be able to download some movies n such :>

Now THOSE were the days when gaming was an actual experience and the music MATTERED.
Most games didn't have even have a SAVE/LOAD feature.
Zelda and Final fantasy... puhhhhlease...
Great games, and I've certainly played them as well, but they just don't really compare.
The music certainly did NOT.
The Secret of Mana is an exception to that rule though.
Simply, lovely: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SnsJI4rmoVE

Guile was hax.
Ahh, sweet memories. Played too many games I guess.
On terms of the OP, yes FF7 is also great, much better than 8.
But, 6 was better imo.
Kefka was just BRILLIANT in how he was portrayed as the ultimate evil.
Modern villains are just too predictable.
Sep 23, 2011I hope the same as you, but still holding my breath.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
It's not the final release yet, more items could be added still, including different, stronger rares.
The one thing about diablo 2, was that uniques were most definitely NOT unique.
Though some crafted orange items were better than the better uniques, still, most mf sorcs used the same gear, or tried to get it. Most hammerdins used the same gear, most druids tried to get the same gear, etc etc.
It was a bad point of the game, and I hope D3 will offer a LOT more diversity in what the "best" items are.
It gives people something to think about whether to use an item or not, instead of "oh, im a sorc, I NEED this item because its the best". And thus all items that are not THAT item are generally considered worthless.
Sep 23, 2011I'm glad the "uniques" and legendaries have moved closer to the regular items.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
Remember, this is up to level 60 only so far,. expansions will expand that by a lot.
And, this way there is still a point to normal items. The legendaries arent immediately a huge boost up from whatever else you were using. You might actually see people running around in GOOD rare items a lot more - give people some diversity instead of every sorceress or barbarian using the EXACT SAME items.
I loved the D2 crafting - and done it extensively.
It ensured you had a unique item that nobody else did, and in some cases they were better than the unique items.
If there was one thing about Diablo 2,, then it's that the "unique" items, were anything but that.
Sep 23, 2011I hope a single account is all Ill need.Posted in: Diablo III General Discussion
In fact, I hope they made it so, that you cant create more than 1 account at all.
Much fairer,, and protects pack-rats like myself from themselves and their never ending hoarding habbits.
(I had 14 accs in D2)

Oct 23, 2011Posted in: NewsQ: Will there be guild support?
Guilds and clans in Diablo II were often organized using chat bots and out-of-game online communities. Hope had arisen that this would mean the developers saw this need as enough to implement guild support in Diablo III, but the idea was shot down. They will not have guild functionality available for release, but something may be implemented after release. They saw a lot of guild ideas that didn't get implemented in Diablo II as great mechanics that they want to work on in the future, but they want to make sure that if they do implement guild functionality, they will do it right.
They said exactly the same for diablo 2 and the possibility of guild halls etc. So don't get your hopes up... More likely than not, we'll never get guilds in diablo 3.
