posted a message on Anyone else worried about Blizzard corruption in the RMHA?
    Quote from nukewarm

I'm not an economist, but I know that blizzard will have control over the supply of products within their game. They can increase or decrease the drop rate of items to the point of flooding or depriving their own market of pretty much anything. They can alter the effects of current items any way they like, increasing or decreasing their perceived values through patches and updates, as well. Essentially, blizzard will have the ability to control the value of products bought and sold within their game. Is anyone concerned over the fact that this same group will also control the medium through which items are bought and sold?

Your initial reaction might include amusement at the prospect of such serious implications stemming from a COMPUTER GAME, but with the RMAH, blizzard will be participating in the taxation and oversight of real, actual money transfers. If there is a chance at corruption there, I think it should be addressed.

Has blizzard stated that they will be placing restrictions on employee participation in the RMHA market? Will there be any checks and balances to ensure this new and volatile system doesn't include some kind of digital insider trading?

Example: Blizzard (or an affiliated group) invests $X into buying a specific item in the game. They then decrease the drop rate of that item to half of what it used to be. They then sell the item back to the diablo-playing-public at a higher amount than they bought it for.

I realize this is an unlikely situation. The obvious nature of that example was meant only to demonstrate one possible way in which the RMAH could cause trouble for players. If situations like that exist, that can be explained and understood over the course of a few seconds, there must exist other, more subtle situations that might contain the same potential for corruption while possibly going unnoticed by the community.

Not going to lie, I laughed my ass off when I read this post. CONSPIRACY, INSIDER TRADING, PRICE FIXING, hahah its not the world stage, its just a video game who gives a fuck... WOW!
Clearly the ramblings of a future Una-Bomber... your paranoia is duly noted though.

Unfortunately I quit and sold all my gear of D2jsp, but If I still had toons Id play with ya.

ive never did the (jsp) thing.. i thought it was only for diablo as well.. why did you sell it all to jsp?

D2jsp started out as Diablo only but now is far beyond that scope, including games like wow and runescape. You sell your items from Diablo to users of the site for teh forums currency, which is usable as currency for any other game the site supports. I actually just sold my items for forum gold then sold the forum gold for real life money.
D2jsp is probably the only place other than online stores where you can find legit 08's 09's so its pretty benificial if your really into Diablo 2.

posted a message on So I just watched <insert movie name here>
So I just watched "The Dreamers" with Eva Green and Michael Pitt. Its a good choice if you enjoy full frontal nudity, both male and female, incest and the opportunity to see Michael Pitts Penis.

Also on my most recent flicker film veiws was a French Foreign Movie called "Irreversible" with Vincent Cassel, definately a very powerful and violent movie with themese centered around vengence and cruelity. Definately an A+18 film with possibly the most vicious and violent scene I have yet seen in cinema, that and the 8 minute rape scene in the middle of the movie, makes for a truly unforgetable film.

If you could watch Irreversible and didnt get to disuaded from the subtitles another movie I watched which has left more than a TAINT on my soul and I reccomend anyone with a stomache for the utterly grotesque is Salo: 120 Days of Sodom. A movie so controversial, because of its intese violence, sexual depravity and extreme saddism, that its banned in most civilized countries and can only be found online. ENJOY...

Yes, I don't see what's wrong with one entry per user. I think we would see a lot less of these stream-of-consciousness entries.

Yup, it's more efficient to have 500% weapon damage+300% critical hit damage with 100% chance to crit than 1000% weapon damage +300% critical hit damage with 20% chance to crit.

I'm confused - which entry won? The charlie brown one? I looked at your "posts" and didn't see that you even submitted that one. Was there a link misdirection going on?

The rules were to add a Captions....the winner didn't even add a Caption....

Is there anything left to say?...I feel like they made me, and many other ppl, waste our time and hopes to just give it to a random person (or mybe a friend) that didn't even follow the rules.

And im not saying this cuz i didn't win, if i lose to a fair entry i wouldnt mind.. but this is unfair in every way, and not only for me.

Better luck to you in the next contest! The winner was chosen and that's that. There's no going back and no point complaining about it. Thread closed.

Yes, there is a point in complaining...we call it justice. When autoritie does something that is not fair, ppl must complain and do somthing to change it...not just sit and watch.
I know its a private forum, and they do what they want with their keys, but its also a matter of respect, if you make a contest with rules then at least follow them to chose the winner...
Im not asking to remove the winner, he has not the fault, and he alredy has the beta anyway... But there should be a second winner at least, one that actualy did follow the rules.

KID grow up, you lost, yes you are entitled to your opinion about the contest, but in doing so in this matter only makes you look like a complete little shit that if he doesnt get his way throws a little fit. The world is unfair pal, "injustice" exists, but unfortunately so do little turds like you.

To be fair I looked @ your entries, the unicorn one was definately in my top 10, but so was the Charlie Brown one to be completely honest.

I agree, too much credulous speculation.

On a side note, are there going to be appearances of the other Prime Evils? Or even other Lesser evils?
