It's a bit convoluted. Also, there will never be and should never be a way to engage someone in any pvp activity without their prior consent. This means they should knowingly open themselves to pvp before joining or creating a game.

It should never be possible to kill someone in pvp that wants to avoid pvp. It should never be possible to grief someone by forcing them to leave a game with threat of pvp.

Any pvp fight should consist of two or more people who are willing and ready to engage in pvp.

I don't think the existence of an AH ruins D3. It needed more limitations.

If you agree that trading is okay (like in d2) then all you need is to replicate that volume with an AH.

the only real mistake with d3 was not having regular content updates and pvp ready at release. the game is good and certainly worth the money. most people buy a game and play it for 20-50 hours at most. i'm betting every single person in this thread broke 100 hours on d3. i'm sure some went past 200 or even 300.

people wanted a game they would play as much and for as long as WoW while not paying a subscription. they may not admit it, but that's the cause behind a lot of the whine/complaint posts.

you don't need a ton of MF to find goodies

if i was starting over fresh i would just wear the best gear i could afford with or without MF

level fast and comfortably for more bonus MF

i have no issues with mp5 survival

    6100 armor, 700 resists, 1k regen

i've really loved the hp scaling of monster levels because it lets some skills and item stats shine a bit more. dots and bleeds are fun if you gear for them correctly and use the proper skills with better proccing.

mp10 isn't suppose to be impossible

if you have the appropriate gear then yes, you should be able to do it

sounds like some people want a difficulty that they can never beat no matter what

it's not a huge difference unless you're playing high mp levels

often times with WoW and D3 they finish 1-2 hours early. not on patch days usually, but the regular ones.

for patch day it's good to assume it will be a few hours late so plan something else

we all know how blizzard works

they'll allow mp in public games at some point. like was stated above, they'll probably start out allowing a certain range of mp, maybe just lvl 1.

posted a message on Prove to me that your God exists.
of course believers can't prove god exists. if there were proof then more people would belong to the religion with proof. some would still deny it just like people still deny evolution, but that's typical.

you could try something easier. instead of asking them to prove their god exists, ask them to prove their god is the correct one. but, they can't do that either obviously.

you could set the bar even lower. instead of asking them to prove something about their god's existence or dominion over other imaginary deities, ask them to prove that something in their religion actually works. a good example would be prayer. ask them to pray for an amputee to have their missing limb regrown. they can take as long as they need and even enlist the help of their entire church or religious group. but we know how that would end, don't we?

okay, okay. let's make it even easier. let's ask them to prove that belonging to their faith prevents a person from committing atrocities that their religion prohibits. after all, even if a god doesn't exist, but the religion keeps people in line, then it's worth something right? for example, murder would be against the christian religion. it's not something they are suppose to do. therefore, if the christian religion works then no christian would ever be guilty of murder. if that isn't true, then what is the religion accomplishing? but we all know the answer.

they can't prove god exists. they can't prove their god is the right one. they can't prove integral parts of their religion actually function (like prayer). they can't prove that their religion causes its members to follow a code of ethics or morality (religious people commit horrible crimes everyday).

what can they prove? that they are just as susceptible to parental/community brainwashing or fear of the unknown as billions of other humans. both those currently living and the billions of humans who are long dead that belonged to thousands of different religions or belief structures.

i'm sure when they originally wrote it they were just trying to explain there are two different groups. pre-60 and lvl 60 for the mf bonus. both always got the xp bonus, they just worded badly.

if drop rates don't change this still makes act 1 more valuable than it currently is. the monsters there are easier by design than act 3. i imagine if you want faster paragon levels it might be easier and faster on act 1 with monster level cranked up. assuming you can't breeze through max monster lvl act 3.

posted a message on PTR is Now Live - More Infernal Machine and Hellfire Ring Information
i don't think it's possible for a game to feel complete unless it's basic in every way. the systems would have to be so simple that the suggested ages might as well read 'for children ages 2-5'.

customers are expecting things that companies can't possibly deliver in a reasonable amount of time without having them fall flat or be broken

regardless of changes the game will get easier over time for a number of a reasons. the only games truly immune to that are pure pvp ones i suppose.

so we'll be getting a way to make it harder. exactly what is needed. next year we'll get another patch for more difficulty probably or an expansion. right on track.

posted a message on Jeweler plans are BLUE?
there's no good reason for them to be blue. it's a perfectly valid complaint that would take blizzard all of two seconds to change.

this has been something people questioned since the game came out. not some new way for people to gripe.
