builds shouldn't be more permanent
it's bad design now and it was in d2 as well

Feb 23, 2012Greenjoke posted a message on Message from Jay, Skill Runes and Choices, Changes, Login Issues, EU PayPal, Item CustomizationI'm happy with the skill system in beta. The only thing that needs to be done is for elective mode to be less clunky with skill swapping. For those who don't know, you can't move or select a skill if it's already in a slot. So basically you have to play musical chairs to move skills around. The end result is perfectly fine, however.Posted in: News
I'm the very definition of gaming/diablo vet and for the 3 ranged classes I don't even have to put it on elective mode because it's designed exactly the way I would be playing anyhow. Melee is a different story, but I don't like melee anyways so I'll never be happy with those and wasn't with d2.
My gf has never played a diablo kind of game and she picked it up really fast and easy. She loves the wizard and had no trouble learning what to do. So everything they've put in place definitely achieves the goal of getting non-diablo masters the opportunity to learn the game. d3 should be hard to master at the higher difficulties, but that doesn't mean learning how to play should be hard. That part should be easy and it is. -

everyone would have all runes anyways. it would have only been a matter of getting the next one up with a slightly higher number attached to it. that's no more boring than what this patch brings. -
Feb 17, 2012Greenjoke posted a message on Beta Auction House Changes IncomingUnless I misunderstand you can't list something for $1.50 and actually cash out. Isn't the paypal fee gonna be at least $0.30 per transaction? You could put the 25 cents on your blizzard balance, obviously, but it seems like they'd put the minimum listing cost at an amount that would guarantee enough money for cash out.Posted in: News

Jan 18, 2012Greenjoke posted a message on Wizard Wave of Force Runed, Poll Recap, and Curse Weekly Updateyeah the jumping bugs me as wellPosted in: News
i'd rather see the wizard putting his arms slightly up then slamming them down through the air, but not actually going low enough to hit the ground or anything like that. that would just turn it into a barbarian style move. -
Jan 17, 2012Greenjoke posted a message on 10 Character Limit, Runed Way of the Hundred Fists, Poll, Screenshots10 is plenty. If someone truly needs to lvl a character over and over and over to feel fulfilled in life then just designate a character slot for leveling characters that will get deleted or sold.Posted in: News
It's not like you would ever get 100s of character slots, so there's going to be a limit regardless. You'd have to delete characters anyways. You can just as easily do that with 10 as you could 15 or 20.
Please don't try to argue that you need 20 or 30 or whatever of the same lvl 60 class. You would never play most of them. They would just sit there. -

looking forward to trying out different specs with it in d3. if inferno is truly dangerous then having that kind of ranged damage will be invaluable. -
Jan 12, 2012Greenjoke posted a message on Diablo 3 Passes South Korea's GRB. "Many More" Beta Invites, Book of Cain, Wizard's Hydra, ScreenshotsWell, at this point it's clear they are messing with the game. Last year they slipped up and admitted they had been given more time to work on game systems because of the korean delay. So now that they've been screwing with runes and everything else they actually do have to put it back together again. So you could honestly blame the current delay on them reiterating a reiterated reiteration.Posted in: News
Either way it's definitely good news and I'm glad we can move forward. -
Jan 12, 2012Greenjoke posted a message on Diablo 3 Passes South Korea's GRB. "Many More" Beta Invites, Book of Cain, Wizard's Hydra, Screenshotsexcellent. now that it's okay'd for SKorea we won't have too much longer to go. they'll wait an appropriate amount of time to pretend SKorea had nothing to do with the delay then announce a release date.Posted in: News

Jan 12, 2012Greenjoke posted a message on Development Article Soon, What's NOT Delaying the Game, Zarhym on "The Big Meeting"That's true, some game companies don't give many details about what they're doing. Blizzard uses it as a form of marketing to hype their products. They're not doing it to simply be nice. They do it to increase profit. It works.Posted in: News
This tactic is biting them in the rear a bit with d3. That's why the community is such a mess. There's no room to complain about the community being angst-ridden when blizzard themselves caused it on purpose.
Anyone who's familiar with the political scene or corporate pr sees right through the way they've been behaving. It's 100% evident that they haven't been completely honest. This is why so many people are bothered and frustrated. -
Jan 12, 2012Greenjoke posted a message on Development Article Soon, What's NOT Delaying the Game, Zarhym on "The Big Meeting"yeah d3 will be awesome and i'll be buying it. the debate around this topic has nothing to do with that.Posted in: News
blizzard has poor communication skills and terrible time management. if they didn't then none of this nonsense would ever exist because not only would all of us be better informed, but the game would already be out anyways.
it's not necessarily a d3 problem. it's a blizzard problem. anyone who was a WoW player knows this. what i'm stating here isn't an opinion. it's a provable fact. if you try to argue otherwise then you're ignoring the past decade. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

i like my builds and i don't change them
1
also, i don't see how anyone can complain about the game being too easy when they'll be giving you a way to make it more difficult
do you complain that people can choose to play normal instead of nightmare?
0
it can be harder, fine... change of scenery is nice
0
great change. i might break out the mass confusion.

you can find plenty of cheap, great items on the gold AH
if all you're doing is searching for items with perfect selection and stat rolls then of course it's going to be expensive. this would be the exact same without a rmah.

by all means play another class for awhile
0
reasonable goal

if you want it to take a million times longer

they do very well with a few exceptions. i have lots of room for upgrading also.

i think my WD can have a lot of options to change and play around, but my DH is gonna end up being exactly the same.
