Excellent ideas. It would make so many blah items have value again instead of an automatic breakdown for souls.

    Quote from Aerisot»

Blizzard has not given up on Diablo, in fact I think this Blizzcon is going to surprise us.

The new wow expansion is already going to be out, So Diablo is the only game that is begging for something new, and I think we will get it, but I don't think it will be an Expansion to Diablo 3, nor do I think it will be Diablo 4, I personally think they ahve been working on a mmo for Diablo.

That would be so awesome. I hope you are right, Aerisot. I remember a Blizzard Diablo job posting awhile back and a job requirement for that particular job was knowledge of MMO's. So, something very well may be up.

Unquestionably. I get tired of the "Diablo is dead" trolls when they cannot take the time and look and see for themselves that something is clearly in the pipeline...

Why in the world would Blizzard inform you of game updates on a fan forum? They have the PTR and patches notes to accompany each rendition of the PTR that gives you all the info you would need.

I personally am looking for a Diablo styled MMO.

Ditto. And I'd gladly shell out a monthly subscription to enjoy that. Why would Blizzard have a Diablo-specific job posting with MMO experience required for applicants?

posted a message on An idea for Season 14 -- no Set Bonus Leaderboard

I have no idea if Blizzard would ever implement this, but I can't be the only player that has gotten a bit bored with the crazy overpowered trend with all sets. Sure, I have enjoyed the Sunwuko set in particular. But, does it make me a better player? No. It's the set that has simply been ramped up. And the sets are just tossed to us free from Headrig making the season journey way too short because of the power.

So, here's an idea -- one that I am imposing on myself for next season. I am going to do a Manald Heal/Electrocute wizard build that I am testing right now that is so fun. No set bonuses. A green item here and there is fine, but I cannot have any bonuses from two or more of the same set. I simply want to see how far I can push this build and I am going to go Hardcore as well. So, it would be nice if Blizzard would offer leaderboards for GRs cleared with no set bonuses. Or start a special season/league called Iron Man -- hardcore only/no set bonuses. :) Just talking out loud here.

I know Leviathan started the Solo self-found league thing, maybe this idea could also be tracked by him or another popular streamer.

Ugh. Figures. I hope Blizzard can stay ahead and thwart the players who refuse to play by the rules. I would not care about cheating if botters could somehow be kept off the leaderboards. Maybe that is the answer...you want to cheat? Fine -- here's one published leaderboard for non-cheaters, and here is another for players who choose to use 3rd party programs. It would be awesome if Blizzard automatically detected if you used a 3rd party program and as soon as you finished a GR solo or in a group it would automatically rank you on the appropriate leaderboard.

Seeing this thread from big cry baby cheaters really makes my day. Well done, Blizzard with the new security measures. I know this thread may ruffle some feathers, but seriously, this is great news.

Well, again. I was not coming down on you...I saw this yesterday in another thread...

No , this patch contain a new system structure that don`t allow at the moment to crap like thud, d3 helper and many others retard cheating stuff to read the D3 memory function. After the still ongoing banwave Blizzard seems waking up from the lethargic period.

But, this player could just be making this up totally. Who knows? Is this what you were referring to or did you see other comments/rumors?

I do like POE, but there are two things in it that were game breakers for me: 1) allies are targettable. This is a horrible situation and I cannot figure out why the developers did this. You're in a group, plus monsters are all around everyone. Inevitably, you are going to sometimes click on an ally instead of a monster. Bang. You are doing no damage because you cannot damage an ally with your skill, but you can target them. Absolutely horrible. No ally targetting in D3.

    2) so much crap loot and whites unless you use a filter that sometimes you cannot even target enemies. OMG. Why is there not a built-in filter in POE like in Grim Dawn? Or just have loot drops that are reasonable like in D3?

Kind of curious as to what the leaderboards will reflect this season since rumor has it Blizz has at least temporarily defeated some hacks and bots with this latest patch.

Rumor has it? What does that mean? Have any kind of links or evidence aside from another player stating an opinion? And I'm not trashing you. I am genuinely excited about the prospect. I despise cheaters, botters, etc that make things totally unfair for the rest of us. Hell, don't even get me started about Numlock because folks, there's 6 skills in the game. Seriously. 6. You can't force yourself to manage the cooldowns?

posted a message on haedrig's gift

Yeah if you take away the fact you can trade in Grim Dawn and Path of Exile to easily obtain high-level gear -- it's incredibly difficult to put together full sets of gear in those games on just drops. At the other end of the spectrum, we have our beloved D3 where you have Headrig's gift which can be obtained in a day or two, plus greens and oranges rain from the sky at high T levels. Somewhere there is a happy medium. I'd like to be able to craft set items or make Headrig's gift a low-level set that would be appropriate for farming at the start of a season. Have high-level set recipes drop at the same rate as potions or Ramaladmi's gift.

posted a message on Primal Cube Recipe + set idea's.

The problem with sets, in general, is they basically pigeonhole a player into being forced to use only a couple skills that are blown out of the water by a given set. Even with each class having four sets...think about it...how many skills for each class are essentially never used? More than half? So, then you have to ask...why are they even in the game if the four sets are the only viable way to go? But...what if each class had two sets and they were basically generic...one would be to buff an offensive build and the other would be to buff a defensive/support build? If that were the case then so many more builds could be viable.

zsader might be fun and have benefits - but the unfortunate truth is that, it simply will never be as good or better than zmonk or zbar which is what I DON'T like.

Well, don't say "never" because we can always hope, right? ;) It would be nice if all classes had a solid support option. Hats off to Blizz for all the 2.6.1 buffs and how these changes will bring more variety in power level. But, support options still need serious attention. 'Saders just naturally have a support feel to them -- you got the big shield, charging into the fray on a steed. It really wouldn't take much effort to make them viable support toons if that healing shield was buffed and those regen circles were buffed too. And probably a buff to a law for flat damage reduction.

I tried a zDps Crusader build that caught my eye awhile ago last season and it was totally viable: you're healing via blocking, plus you've got the big regen circles under everyone all the time. Then, if I recall it's Roland based so you're pulling things in with Sweep Attack. Finally, everyone's resistances are pretty high because you're activating long arm of the law frequently.
