Why in the world would Blizzard inform you of game updates on a fan forum? They have the PTR and patches notes to accompany each rendition of the PTR that gives you all the info you would need.
Ugh. Figures. I hope Blizzard can stay ahead and thwart the players who refuse to play by the rules. I would not care about cheating if botters could somehow be kept off the leaderboards. Maybe that is the answer...you want to cheat? Fine -- here's one published leaderboard for non-cheaters, and here is another for players who choose to use 3rd party programs. It would be awesome if Blizzard automatically detected if you used a 3rd party program and as soon as you finished a GR solo or in a group it would automatically rank you on the appropriate leaderboard.
Seeing this thread from big cry baby cheaters really makes my day. Well done, Blizzard with the new security measures. I know this thread may ruffle some feathers, but seriously, this is great news.
Speaking of new ban waves I wonder if one is coming tomorrow during the maintenance mode? It would be nice because then semi-serious players like me would have a fighting chance to get a little higher on the leaderboard vs being pushed down or completely off thanks to cheaters like Chainer. 31-32 days into season 12. Okay, depending on the math you use that's about 744 hours so far for season 12. If you total the time played on Chainer's Barb, Monk, and Crusader it's 712 hours.
My claim to fame this season with my Barb was to do a 96 a week or so ago. I think that landed me around 984. It's hardly worthy of bragging, but I have never been on the NA leaderboard, so it was a nice, brief moment in the sun. But, where would it have been without all the Chainers pushing everyone down? Oh, well. I wish Blizzard would take a harder stance.
Sorry to say but 2.6.1 patch is the final nail in the coffin for D3.
Isn't it fascinating from a pure human observation perspective of how D3 players run the entire gamut? It's no different than how the entire human condition displays itself on a regular basis. I happen to be a Mac user. For whatever reason, that fact alone infuriates some people. Joe Blow says, "Macs are overpriced pieces of sh*t!" Joe's neighbor, however, says: "If you like Macs, great. Whatever works for you." I also happen to eat a ketogenic diet. Another lightning rod for some people. Joe Blow with veins bulging from his neck and pounding his keyboard types furiously..."You're going to kill yourself eating so much fat!" But, my doctor as he is looking at my latest blood test happily tells me, "wow...this is clearly working. Nice job."
So, on the one hand, you have the trolls like Mr. Gonan above who want to simply jump on the dogpile and crap on D3, encouraging all of us that the game is dead. But, then there are the streamers, the developers, the players and mods like Bagstone on sites like this who put in lots of time...people who clearly love the game and are positive. I bought my BlizzCon virtual ticket and enjoyed every minute. No D4 announcements? Who cares? I watched some great high-level WoW arena matches, Starcraft pvp, a Muse concert, and yes, a nice D3 community panel.
I am very excited to begin season 12. Good luck and have fun all season players.
Nice, they can see all the stuff on your PC,unbelivible.
Unless you have intentions of cheating and making things easier on yourself via 3rd party programs/macros, etc -- why would you care. It's like the government listening in on someone's phone call or something like that. Who cares?
I would LOVE to see a well done D3 MMO and would happily cough up $15/month for it. In fact, I would argue that most would prefer that route simply because even if D4 is "better" than D3...how much better could it be if it's not an MMO? It's still going to be limited in its scope. It's going to be very very similar to what we all have been playing forever. But, once you go the MMO route I think the potential and breadth of what they could do is really exciting.
Been playing D3 since day 1 - May 15th is my birthday so D3's release date was kind of cool. Still play the very first toon I made, a Barb - I keep rebirthing him in seasons. Very sentimental to him.
