I wonder if this will give me enough motivation to farm a little and try to make back the money I spent on the Collector's Edition. The game just didn't turn out to be as good as I thought it would be. Would be nice knowing I got the money back. Maybe even a little more.
Then maybe come back in the future after some patches.
You're right, there is a power for money thing going here, and it will effect PvP, but not the way you think. The people who earn their gear are going to be extremely good at using their character from having to have farmed act 3/4 inferno for hours upon hours. On the other hand, you can ding to level 60, spend $100 and get a badass character, but you'll get DESTROYED in PvP because PvP is going to have a matchmaking system similar to Starcraft 2. This means the people who are legitimately badass and good at playing their character will have a massive advantage from those who just bought it and jumped right in.
Luckily the only thing meaningful in PvP is the lulz.
On a more serious note. At its very current state, the RMAH is utterly useless. It's filled with people that reek of greed, and think they can sell sub-par items for $20+. That's not saying people won't buy them.
But as said by others, even if Blizzard didn't make the RMAH. There would be plenty of third party websites where someone could buy items. If there's a will, there's a way.
Blues /= Rares.
Rares will still come out to be better than Legendaries at some point (just have to find them).
Blues shouldn't be better than top end Legendaries in my opinion.
you are comparing two completely different games its like complaining you dont have enough room in a mini because your last car was a spacewagon...
you are a moron annual pass tool...... sooner players like you leave these boards and the official board and head back to the wow mothership the better
/rant
Its fun how you lost your reason when you start using innapropriate words to show your point. Go play your game, kid. We want mature ppl in here
His point is still true though. You can't compare WoW and D3. They are completely different games.
My friends thought the movie was hilarious. I thought there were some funny parts, but if you've seen the trailers, you've seen the maximum the movie has to offer. Give a couple more scenes funny scenes and some filer and there's the movie. Thought Sacha Baron Cohen did much better with Borat and Bruno. This... This just wasn't it.
I agree about legendaries and I think Blizz has acknowledged it and is working on them to be better.
They have also acknowledged that Rares will be the best items in game if rolled well.
I remember reading something from Bashiok saying that the quality "Legendary" is given to items that have a unique name and skin. It doesn't mean that it's the best thing in game.
Don't get me wrong, The top tier Legendaries are weak where they are at, but the idea of Rares contending/surpassing Legendaries isn't new. In D2 there were some situations where a Rare item reined over a Unique, but it was common to see characters running around in Uniques and Runewords.
In the end we are sitting here again expecting a complete re-vamped system that wont happen. It's a new game and a new system... Sometimes we just have to get over the fact that the nostalgic items aren't worth the time/money. They are simply nostalgia nothing more.....

The game is rated M. They could have made the dialogue much more dark, but they kept it a T level :/
