posted a message on Pre-expansion patch release date speculation....
I think March is too early considering that they said what we've seen is what they have. I don't think we saw ladder/devils hand etc because it's not done. I said in another thread, I think RoS is farther than people may speculate and the AH removal date really isn't relevant to anything. I think they are just giving plenty and plenty of fair warning so when the morons who complain on March 18 (Which you all watch, the forums will explode with morons who had no idea the AH was being removed) Blizzard can say hey look we told you in September, this is your oversight and not our problem. Which is fair.

posted a message on So... did we actually learn anything?
A lot of things were discussed. If you didn't look at data mined info then adventure mode is new, clan support is new, bounties, neph. rifts, crafting stuff, new skills are new and a lot of other things.

I think the problem is, which isn't going to go over well, but I don't think this expansion is going to be ready as soon as we think it may be. I feel as though details on loot 2.0 aren't really final yet, no announcement of ladder or devils hand to me means they aren't near finished. They may just be trying to be quiet but if not I get the feeling they aren't even sure if they are going to have a beta so when that is who knows. I'm sure people who went to Blizzcon though can provide different information. I was also surprised no details on CE were revealed.

So there still seems to be a lot of stuff to be announced. And as I said, I think if it's remaining unannounced it's not done yet. If all of these data mined features are to go live we may be waiting till Q3 2014 until we get a launch.

Yeah they are exclusive but it doesn't really make the game better. Only thing I would want is an in game mail system.

They honestly are just lame social features.

posted a message on Transmogrification No Longer Binds items, "Stay Awhile and Listen" Review, Community Commentary: To Live is to Die
Transmog is fine in Diablo III. People overreact to "WoW" features. The AH is a WoW feature. And now......it's gone!

Btw, they removed BOA most likely because they don't need to BoA items now cause of AH removal. BoA was simply a failed attempt to counter AH use. See crafted Archon gear. Now they don't need to BoA anything.

posted a message on RoS - End Game Enhancements
There was once a great reply on one thread of these forums. I don't know who said it but I want to give this person credit: "The game needs to become less like WoW instead of more like WoW". Or something.

    1. This is essentially what the Mystic will do. You can change the spirit regen affix to a list of provided affixes that are deemed to be more beneficial. While we all want gear that makes our builds better you can't all of a sudden decide your going to do X build and have all the best gear for it. Part of the game is going to find it. Or trading for it. I just think the ability to craft items that can be discovered ultimately while its not the worst idea in the book its one of those iffy ones that just doesn't really sit well with people.

    2. Again, not a bad idea but not one that I think will sit well with people. However I think a similar system will be implemented with Paragon 2.0 that will include account wide bonuses of this sort. Reputations are just too much an MMO thing.

    3. Side quests would be ok to do stuff like unlock more stash slots. I don't think we should a lot though. Most people in Diablo III don't like quests.

    4. Ok this is was a good idea until you said quest lines. Again nobody wants to do quest lines in Diablo III. Maybe some do, but this is just so WoW. I'm ok with farming a bunch of mats that come off bosses to create a unique item but not quest lines.

The reason that I and I think people are anti quest is because you can't fit quests into an RPG game. There are going to 5 acts and I already know the 4 on the back of my hand. It's not challenging and people want to choose what to do. Quests are good in MMO's because the world is much larger along with dungeons/raids/etc. Things aren't hard to find in Diablo III they are just randomized. All your going to see is people creating games over and over again to spawn X npc to update their quest.

    5. Good Idea

    6. Like this too. Only problem is that if followers are account wide you can make a new character and just have your follower kill everything. Although Hellfire ring does the same thing.

    7. Not against this. I'd like to see something like this in the main menu though.

    8. Ok this is just screaming MMO/WoW. No. People don't want the MMO feel. While you suggest it's optional, it will be required to trade. Also it's not really possible. There is no world, Diablo III is constructed with games that are capped at 4 players. While I'm sure they can figure something out it would be too much of a stretch for something that will be putting a bad taste in a lot of peoples mouths.

Sorry OP, I don't mean to sound cruel by ripping apart your post. The thing is you've suggested many things that will turn this game into World of Diablo. This is not want the players want.

    Quote from Heretic_Ragna

The only thing I really want to see implemented is a decent way to trade Items since we will lose the auction house.

Also, I've pointed this out in other threads and I'm going to start a shit storm by saying it here. But ultimately the point of removing the AH is to remove ease of trade which is ruining the game. I really hope, and don't think Blizzard will implement any type of alternative. Because when you look at suggested alternatives - they all accomplish the same thing the Auction House does.

posted a message on Loot 2.0 Datamined?
I'm not entirely sure how it works but I think they have only added the strings that contain the passives of the new items. So I suppose that new items give you passive buffs, which are in the datamined alpha right now. If there was actual items I think we could at least get the names.

Probably a good thing if they aren't in the alpha yet, means they are not done - because what we saw in the demo wasn't really an improvement.

I remember when we had an increased respawn timer based on how many times we died in a row. That blasted thing went all the way up to 30 seconds :P

I HATED this so much. I forgot about that but I'm so glad it's gone.

Also...anyone remember when Archon was bugged one night and Wizards were invincible for a few hours?

posted a message on Oddball 7th Class Suggestions
    I have three ideas:

    1.) Useless YouTube Guy

-Posts video guides of a build that is all over the internet and provides no unique look at the build however believes you should subscribe and like all of his videos.

-Posts on various forums starting a topic then simply just links his 20 minute video of him rambling on about this said topic

-The female character will be slightly attractive yet incredibly ditzy but has thousands of subscribers just to look at boobs

-Will not utilize runes and just has 1 skill called "Please subscribe" 1 second cool down, begs targeted creature to subscribe

    2.) Boring Streamer

-Main ability is promoting his/her stream

-Class flavor text: Gaze into the mindless stream with billion gold giveaways and shoutouts every hour why do it yourself when you can watch someone else do it

-The only part of the world this hero can explore is his/her bedroom. The only monsters it occasionally battles are mom or dad.

-This hero thinks it has a job yet could make way more money mopping the floor at McDonald's.

    -Immune to Adblock

    3.) RMAHer

-This hero can only be unlocked after 3,000 hours of gameplay

-This hero is not fun to play

-This hero only is playable to make real life money. Having fun is not allowed.

-This hero only plays games to make real life money - getting an actual job is hypocrisy

-Scratched from development after announcement to remove AH. Blizzard felt that people should play the game to have fun and not complain about how bad the game is yet continually post "I just play to make real money cause I probably make SOOO MUCH"

    ;p ;p ;p ;p hehe.

This is nothing but speculation, but I can see them revamping difficulties. Removing the requirement of defeating the one to unlock the other and simply giving players the ability to switch between them as difficulties in other games let you do. I can see Monster Power being removed as an option and being integrated into the difficulties themselves. Much like it is on the console version. You start your game and choose your difficulty.

That would explain adding a 5th difficulty, removing the requirement from the tooltip and giving the players that feel they don't want to play past Normal a great answer.

I don't think that they will remove the unlocking tier difficulties because each difficulty has its own set of items associated with it (it's hard to notice because you can't see item types on rares or legendaries). I think they're going to rework them, though, because 4 difficulties plus 10 monster powers is just too much. They suggested as much at Gamescom. I think we'll get an official announcement at Blizzcon.

I'm drawing the line here though, if they just add a fifth difficulty I'm out.

Good point but don't forget they are revamping itemization so that nullifies any current sets within difficulties.

Also to go off of both people that got quoted here, I'm also really hoping monster power gets a revamp. 10 is too high of a ceiling and really a lot of MP's feel the same. I would like to seem them condense it and change it to the Master I-V they have on console, or something else.

posted a message on New Datamined Patch - Class Changes, Passive Effects, Item Graphics and MUCH more
Also the Thunderfury name could just be a placeholder...so let's not got too worked up over it just yet (not that anyone really is, just saying it could very well be a placeholder).

Also in terms of life steal becoming obsolete, maybe their philosophy on survival is changing. Now pretty much you gear up on lifesteal/loh depending on build on you just settle with that. Do people really "try" to pick up health globes at lvl 60?

It's possible with the changes lifesteal/loh are something you look for on low level gear and health globes may play a major role at the new cap. Just something to think about, not really try to strongly make a case for this, just throwing it out there.

Not really something that was removed but it was changed because of a patch:

I remember when Stormshield was the best item for a Barbarian and sold for 75m. When 75m was actually a lot of gold.

posted a message on Will Blizz add a new system to support trading after the Auction Houses are removed?
    Quote from Common

C'mon guys, please stay on topic...it would be a bummer if this thread becomes locked.

ANYWAYS, I hope we hear some kind of announcement during Blizzcon relating to this topic, or at least info regarding the Battle.net improvements they plan to implement. I feel as if the info announced by Blizz at Blizzcon is sort of a 'make it or break it' for some players. Would you guys agree there is an added sense of pressure for Blizz to announce exciting new info for the RoS release and Loot 2.0 compared to years past?

Also, someone mentioned they'd seen threads detailing ideas for a 'Trading Post'; was this from other forums? Can someone define/explain some of the basic details you're referring to (because I haven't read anything regarding this)? I'm simply curious. I approach the whole 'Trading Post' subject cautiously because from simply the name it, well, sounds similar to the AH. However, until I read more about it, I want to keep an open mind. Anyone?

What I'm referring to is the suggestion many have made that there should just be a trading post where people can list items and either negotiate a price or even suggest a price. This is to similar to an AH it just slows down the process but ultimately here is my problem with any type of trading system:

If items are searchable, able to be filtered through, available in mass the AH may as well remain. The problem with the AH is all of these things, it creates the ability for a player to simply choose the items they want without a progressive gearing up process therefore diminishing reward value in finding items and really doing anything in this game.

Ultimately, in my opinion, and I think some other posters in this thread are eluding to this, is that there should be NO alternative.

With trading being a pain in the ass, items will be more valuable because you won't see an Echoing Fury with a socket and CD all the time like you do now. Sure items will be better, but less plentiful because players will be looting less, keeping more, and trading less.

Notes: Bold is just to emphasis, my opinion isn't the end all, just saying hey it's mine! Also using bold on this site huge pain in the ass could we look into fixing it? If you don't know what I'm talking about try it!
