Idk I'm 50/50 on the Paragon being account wide. After doing the grind once I honestly have no desire to do it ever again, however I still think it's part of character progression and not account progression. Essentially there is even less to do with no progress to made once a character hits 60. Hellfire ring + socket weapon with a radient star ruby + mp10 = lvl 60 in two days.
Look I know nobody has time to level 5 characters to paragon 100, I just got my first paragon 100 two weeks ago. However what's the point if there isn't always something to strive for. I'm pretty done until patch once I finish achievement cap. However at my slow ass rate the patch may come first.
However I would totally 100% be alright with it if the expansion had lvl 99 like Diablo II. Then Paragon being account is totally fine with me.
One final note. I think the Mystic making the return to the game was inevitable. Seriously, who's stupid ass idea was it to remove it in the first place? They should be fired............................................;)

The best things about options is that you don't have to use them. If players want to mod their interface it has no effect on me, I don't use them! It's kind of tinfoil of me to say this which is out of my character however I believe that game developers fear any slight advantage that UI mods may provide and don't want players to feel forced to use mods.Posted in: News

I ask all dissatisfied D3 players to please continue to use the RMAH, or gold auction house, or flippers as a scapegoat for your poor experience, hell go ahead and use the gold dupe from 3 weeks ago that everyone forgot already that was supposed to damage the economy forever. Because honestly complaining about these items is an all time low for this community.
The collectors edition offered so much more than the stupid wings that have sat in the top left corner of my stash since May 15, 2012 -
May 30, 2013Serpenth posted a message on Diablo III: Book of Tyrael Coming This October, CMs and Their Personal D3 Accounts, Titan Project Delayed Until 2016I feel like Titan is like WoW movie anyways. It will never happen. It also has a code name that is setting it up for failure. People are already assuming Titan is going to be the next godlike game for pc gamers. With no details on the game whatsoever, well not nearly enough to come to that conclusion. The two things are the code name of titan, and the fact that this project has been known about since 2007. If it comes out in 2016 all people will say is "how could this game fail it was in development for 10 years"Posted in: News

May 25, 2013Serpenth posted a message on What Should an Endless Dungeon Have?, Blue Posts, SakuraFlame and Kotori Cosplay, ErlendOlsen's Barb Guide to Blowing Stuff UpMy wish for an endless to dungeon is to have it someway like it is now. Say for example in Act I, you have a chance to find the Watch Tower, the Den of the Fallen etc. Keep that randomness like it is. Then in an "endless dungeon" tune it a little differently. Say Den of the Fallen is your endless dungeon. In level 1 you get one elite pack, then in level 2 you get either two elite packs or a chest, or a chest / event. See what I'm saying? Per each level add 1 thing that grants NV, or a chance at loot. Also add more trash mobs per level. So at Den of the Fallen level 7 you could have 2 chests 1 event and 4 elite packs. Also make it that once you enter level 7, level 6 is not available to re enter.Posted in: News
Idk I just don't like it being a different game mode. I want an endless dungeon to be something I stumble upon. If you choose to do it they will become just as boring as the alkaizer run after a week. If you make the in the world in the regular game mode - the desire for it will always be there. -

Only very small minimal quality of life changes. Why wasn´t this in the game a year ago? I am so disappointed I guess it´s path of exile from now. I know it takes time to get everything set and done when applying even small changes, but imho some larger changes are needed to get Diablo III back on track. This saddens my heart
I know it's hard to believe but they can't do it all in one day. There will be no miracle patch. It's piece by piece as it has been for the last year and the game has improved greatly.
Actually I'm not even sure this is a serious post, these notes have been around for weeks, even a month. -

Super awesome that farming will viable in multiplayer now though. They just need to boost monster density in Acts I & II along popular key farming routes and bam WINNER. I'll never play solo again.
What am I saying, I stopped playing solo about 2 months ago. It's just so much more fun to jump in skype/vent and do runs with a few other people. -

Dec 28, 2012Serpenth posted a message on The PVP Blog Is HereIn my opinion it is a huge mistake just to scrap the death match. Even if it's underwhelming so is dueling. It's a fun thing to do sometimes or if your 11 years old. Dueling isn't something that should keep your attention for hours.Posted in: News
Death match could have had potential if they had some type of ranking system. Once again Blizzard dropped the ball big time. PvP won't be 1.1 it will be 2.0. -

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm yes. While most people think this is the armory, they already previewed the Armory and said it was coming soon. This would be the same thing with less detail and more secretive. To me this seems like this is something they have not announced yet. I could be wrong of course but I'm not simply assuming it's the armory either. Doesn't make sense. Yet Blizzard does confuse me sometimes. -

May 28, 2012Serpenth posted a message on Diablo III - Game Design Update1.) It's great that they are planning to address the itemization issues. One of the largest concerns within the community.Posted in: News
2.) Nerfing the Blacksmith was needed. I don't know why they changed it during the beta as it was fine the way it was. It's just stupid to put 10 pages and 8k gold (Not sure if exact just saying for arguments sake) into an Axe that gives me Intelligence. Was just a stupid waste of gold and would cost 60k to get a decently itemized piece of gear. Could go to the auction house and spend 20k and get geared to the teeth. Again another concern the community has about the game, while not as big cause of the Auction House.
And really people? You guys are going to argue about how many people are in Inferno? I have 26 people on Real ID and 3 of them are in inferno. I think Blizzards statistics are accurate. Not everybody has played the game every hour of every day.
I also know many people from all different backgrounds who are playing right now, some who were hardcore D2 guys that are loving D3, and a few of them that have already stopped playing. Also know a few WoW people who both love the game and have stopped playing. Not everyone who bought the game is going to fall in love with it regardless of their background.
Problem with games now is that people instead of looking to go have fun with it and see what is has to offer, they try to find everything wrong with it and rip it apart and give it no chance. They won't compare pros and cons and see if X con really outweighs Y pro and vise versa. I think a lot of people wanted D3 to be carbon copy of D2 and the problem is the gap between releases, not who's making it. You can argue Blizzard north vs Blizzard Activision all day if you want, but what your failing to look at is 2000 vs 2012.
Anyways, just wanted to add that the biggest problem with this game in my opinion is the Auction House. It should just be removed. - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

I think the problem is, which isn't going to go over well, but I don't think this expansion is going to be ready as soon as we think it may be. I feel as though details on loot 2.0 aren't really final yet, no announcement of ladder or devils hand to me means they aren't near finished. They may just be trying to be quiet but if not I get the feeling they aren't even sure if they are going to have a beta so when that is who knows. I'm sure people who went to Blizzcon though can provide different information. I was also surprised no details on CE were revealed.
So there still seems to be a lot of stuff to be announced. And as I said, I think if it's remaining unannounced it's not done yet. If all of these data mined features are to go live we may be waiting till Q3 2014 until we get a launch.

They honestly are just lame social features.

I can live without the ability to give gifts to my friends.

Btw, they removed BOA most likely because they don't need to BoA items now cause of AH removal. BoA was simply a failed attempt to counter AH use. See crafted Archon gear. Now they don't need to BoA anything.

1. This is essentially what the Mystic will do. You can change the spirit regen affix to a list of provided affixes that are deemed to be more beneficial. While we all want gear that makes our builds better you can't all of a sudden decide your going to do X build and have all the best gear for it. Part of the game is going to find it. Or trading for it. I just think the ability to craft items that can be discovered ultimately while its not the worst idea in the book its one of those iffy ones that just doesn't really sit well with people.
2. Again, not a bad idea but not one that I think will sit well with people. However I think a similar system will be implemented with Paragon 2.0 that will include account wide bonuses of this sort. Reputations are just too much an MMO thing.
3. Side quests would be ok to do stuff like unlock more stash slots. I don't think we should a lot though. Most people in Diablo III don't like quests.
4. Ok this is was a good idea until you said quest lines. Again nobody wants to do quest lines in Diablo III. Maybe some do, but this is just so WoW. I'm ok with farming a bunch of mats that come off bosses to create a unique item but not quest lines.
The reason that I and I think people are anti quest is because you can't fit quests into an RPG game. There are going to 5 acts and I already know the 4 on the back of my hand. It's not challenging and people want to choose what to do. Quests are good in MMO's because the world is much larger along with dungeons/raids/etc. Things aren't hard to find in Diablo III they are just randomized. All your going to see is people creating games over and over again to spawn X npc to update their quest.
5. Good Idea
6. Like this too. Only problem is that if followers are account wide you can make a new character and just have your follower kill everything. Although Hellfire ring does the same thing.
7. Not against this. I'd like to see something like this in the main menu though.
8. Ok this is just screaming MMO/WoW. No. People don't want the MMO feel. While you suggest it's optional, it will be required to trade. Also it's not really possible. There is no world, Diablo III is constructed with games that are capped at 4 players. While I'm sure they can figure something out it would be too much of a stretch for something that will be putting a bad taste in a lot of peoples mouths.
Sorry OP, I don't mean to sound cruel by ripping apart your post. The thing is you've suggested many things that will turn this game into World of Diablo. This is not want the players want.
Also, I've pointed this out in other threads and I'm going to start a shit storm by saying it here. But ultimately the point of removing the AH is to remove ease of trade which is ruining the game. I really hope, and don't think Blizzard will implement any type of alternative. Because when you look at suggested alternatives - they all accomplish the same thing the Auction House does.

Probably a good thing if they aren't in the alpha yet, means they are not done - because what we saw in the demo wasn't really an improvement.

I HATED this so much. I forgot about that but I'm so glad it's gone.
Also...anyone remember when Archon was bugged one night and Wizards were invincible for a few hours?

1.) Useless YouTube Guy
-Posts video guides of a build that is all over the internet and provides no unique look at the build however believes you should subscribe and like all of his videos.
-Posts on various forums starting a topic then simply just links his 20 minute video of him rambling on about this said topic
-The female character will be slightly attractive yet incredibly ditzy but has thousands of subscribers just to look at boobs
-Will not utilize runes and just has 1 skill called "Please subscribe" 1 second cool down, begs targeted creature to subscribe
2.) Boring Streamer
-Main ability is promoting his/her stream
-Class flavor text: Gaze into the mindless stream with billion gold giveaways and shoutouts every hour why do it yourself when you can watch someone else do it
-The only part of the world this hero can explore is his/her bedroom. The only monsters it occasionally battles are mom or dad.
-This hero thinks it has a job yet could make way more money mopping the floor at McDonald's.
-Immune to Adblock
3.) RMAHer
-This hero can only be unlocked after 3,000 hours of gameplay
-This hero is not fun to play
-This hero only is playable to make real life money. Having fun is not allowed.
-This hero only plays games to make real life money - getting an actual job is hypocrisy
-Scratched from development after announcement to remove AH. Blizzard felt that people should play the game to have fun and not complain about how bad the game is yet continually post "I just play to make real money cause I probably make SOOO MUCH"
;p ;p ;p ;p hehe.

Good point but don't forget they are revamping itemization so that nullifies any current sets within difficulties.
Also to go off of both people that got quoted here, I'm also really hoping monster power gets a revamp. 10 is too high of a ceiling and really a lot of MP's feel the same. I would like to seem them condense it and change it to the Master I-V they have on console, or something else.

Also in terms of life steal becoming obsolete, maybe their philosophy on survival is changing. Now pretty much you gear up on lifesteal/loh depending on build on you just settle with that. Do people really "try" to pick up health globes at lvl 60?
It's possible with the changes lifesteal/loh are something you look for on low level gear and health globes may play a major role at the new cap. Just something to think about, not really try to strongly make a case for this, just throwing it out there.

And I welcome Thunderfury to Diablo

I remember when Stormshield was the best item for a Barbarian and sold for 75m. When 75m was actually a lot of gold.

What I'm referring to is the suggestion many have made that there should just be a trading post where people can list items and either negotiate a price or even suggest a price. This is to similar to an AH it just slows down the process but ultimately here is my problem with any type of trading system:
If items are searchable, able to be filtered through, available in mass the AH may as well remain. The problem with the AH is all of these things, it creates the ability for a player to simply choose the items they want without a progressive gearing up process therefore diminishing reward value in finding items and really doing anything in this game.
Ultimately, in my opinion, and I think some other posters in this thread are eluding to this, is that there should be NO alternative.
With trading being a pain in the ass, items will be more valuable because you won't see an Echoing Fury with a socket and CD all the time like you do now. Sure items will be better, but less plentiful because players will be looting less, keeping more, and trading less.
Notes: Bold is just to emphasis, my opinion isn't the end all, just saying hey it's mine! Also using bold on this site huge pain in the ass could we look into fixing it? If you don't know what I'm talking about try it!
