posted a message on [Updated] Blizzard's Gamescom Stream, A Detailed Look at D3's Booth, Leads to Expansion Trailer Confirmation
Also a bit confused, as it was rumored the announcement would be made during the press conference/release whatever. Is it just not streamable, or is it the announcement not being made until a future presentation.

The more clear question is - is this coming with in the next hour or so, or should I go to bed?

Is there a stream of the announcement?

Edit: Nevermind, it's on front page.

Well based on the inc gamers link it appears we will at least have a cinematic trailer / announcement tomorrow. I don't think we learn much about features until later in the week if not Blizzcon.

However I don't know the schedule, so I could be wrong and we could learn a lot tomorrow.

hey guys. I'm one of the IT guys working at the gamescom and I haven't seen any sign of the expansion pack :/ .
But when I worked at the booth some stuff wasn't finished so maybe there is a small hope.

I'm curious what a sign would be. I assume any presentation they have is saved on a flash drive. I don't think they would have a big poster or anything because well it would be revealed by now. However since you work there what is stuff that you would expect to see?

If there special announcement is PS4/Xbox1 i hate them

Heart of the Swarm is a poor example. If you look at their other titles the timing is not far fetched.

However, if it was going to be released this year we would have an announcement by now.

loot 2.0 (aka the everything is account bound patch) will be released with the expansion that will drop xmas of this year.

I'm dreading the announcement of everything being account bound because I want to buy the expansion. I'm leaning toward expansion announcement though, or at least trailer. They better no be hyping up the PS4/Xbox one announcement.

PS Nice sig, check out my avatar!

posted a message on diablo3offline.com is safe?
I'm going with the safe answer of no. I haven't heard of it or used or know anything it but I think it's safe for me to assume it provides a way for you to play offline, which would be against the TSO and result in an account ban.

I think it's pretty easy to pinpoint this as a Diablo III announcement. What it will be is tough to guess. It could range from Diablo III for xbox one and ps4 to the Expansion 1 announcement.

I'm guessing either Itemization preview or Expansion 1 announcement. I know this is a bit optimistic however they need something to boost moral for this game. Nobody cares right now.

posted a message on More customisation is not the solution
Well, in the current itemization system, yeah adding more stats/customization is bad. However these suggestions are to be interpreted while keeping in mind an overhaul to itemization. Which includes the removal of many affixes and the adjustments of stat weights. I'm fairly certain that the developers have hinted toward the removal of affixes in any overhaul which is going down one day.

posted a message on Loot 2.0, discovering its true potential.
WOW!!!!! Someone who photoshopped a bunch of stuff AND has AMAZING ideas!!! These are GREAT suggestions. The great thing about them is most of them aren't just like "this is the biggest problem with the game, and here's how to fix it". It's just a bunch of stuff that adds A LOT of quality of life to the game. The legendary rune idea is quite amazing. Also, I totally agree with your suggestions about NV. I myself have suggested a few times on this forum that NV become uncapped and available at all levels.

I haven't logged in for 3 weeks but now I have a desire to play again, just because of how much potential this game could have. Please suggest this on the battle.net forums and once again thank you for not manipulating us with your photoshop skills.

OP I don't think anybody means to disrespect you. This topic isn't going exactly in the intended direction because the endless dungeon has been suggested in several hundred different threads among various Diablo III forums. When another one pops up it's just an eye roll. While adding things like ubers is awesome, the reward still stinks. While doing an endless dungeon may be fun, current systems still make the reward worthless. I think the point of a lot replies are trying to make, including mine, is that no additional feature no matter how great it is will ever be worth it without a just reward.

Nobody wants to sit around and wait for itemization, we all want it this upcoming Tuesday. However, it is the backbone of this game. This is not world of warcraft where we get new raids every few months and that satisfies our thirst for content. Diablo rewards us with an endless item hunt and a desire to continuously update and customize our characters. Without proper itemization any type of game mode that offers a reward will ultimately lack replay value.

The current system is a failure because the design of it was flawed. I know it seems like forever but Blizzard had to evaluate the situation, take proper action, and get the right people in here. It seems like the wheels are moving which is a good sign. As much as a game like this is random, Diablo III is way too randomized in terms of item rolls and drops. I have just as a good of chance of getting an echoing fury off of a skeleton in Act I as I do MP 10 ubers. Well, that's untrue to an extent however my point is these game modes are worthless if 1.) they don't offer high chance at rewards and 2.) the rewards aren't worth it.

How they redefine itemization is what is going to make or break this game. Not pvp, not an endless dungeon, not account wide paragon, not what the next class is, not legendary dyes, not pawn stars, not NFL football streamed on your minimap (actually, I really want this feature),

Everything else is fine and dandy but as Maka posted, if the rewards suck nobody cares. In regards to the games health it's active however I think it's safe to assume it is gradually declining. I Serpenth, one loyal Blizzard fanboi, hasn't even played in 3 weeks and feel that my second long break from the game is beginning. Which I am ok with, I know as soon as we get the expansion title leak, interest will once again spark for many. Then as Blizzcon approaches interest will spark, and when the expansion is announced, interest will spark. However those sparks could explode or die instantly once loot 2.0 is revealed.

posted a message on Disappointed with the Dev Interview.
1.) Do people actually really really want Diablo 3 PvP to be an eSport?. First of all Blizzard do a horrible job of promoting WoW arena as an eSport. They do a good job with Starcraft II though because well it's a super popular eSport. However after seeing brawling, even though it isn't the game mode they promised us, is still a preview of what Diablo III pvp would look like. Which is purely unbalanced crap just for the lawls. The diehard pvp community in this game is just so small that efforts to make Diablo III an eSport at this point are laughable. Maybe after 2-3 years of a real pvp mode we could analyze it's potential further.

2.) I'm not a fan of this unless they bring back lvl 99 cap with an equivalent grind. Paragon was supposed to be that grind and real talk it's nowhere near as brutal as it was before patch 1.0.8. After this interview I have lost all desire to play any other heroes. I already have a paragon 100 and spending time on other heroes feels like a waste of time at this point with the potential change. I don't think this system is something you can just make account wide. It should have launched account wide, or stay the way it is. The perks are fine but should apply to each character. I'm not sure how this increases replay value.

3.) This is a stupid point. It decreases the legitimacy of your first two arguments.
