Mar 8, 2012Serpenth posted a message on Diablo 3 Patch 14 - Patch NotesLooks good. The much needed skill UI improvements were made and I don't think anyone will complain about hardcore mode being unlocked at level 10. I am hoping they just let you start a hardcore character in release but I see why they have limited it for beta. IMO getting a character to level 10 at release will be a stupid requirement. Just let people make a lvl 1 hardcore. Again though I see why they did it for the beta.Posted in: News

Hopefully they may change some of the new skill UI after all. And doubling the mobs damage should quiet some whiners.Posted in: News

Mar 3, 2012Serpenth posted a message on Diablo 3 - Release Date RumorWhile they said they will announce around two months before release, which is standard, I would assume anyone interested in Diablo 3 has already pre ordered their desired editions / people have have been prepared for months. They could get away with a short notice.Posted in: News

Jan 25, 2012Serpenth posted a message on No BlizzCon in 2012 - Battle.net World ChampionshipMakes sense really. I would imagine and am hopeful that Diablo 3, MoP, and Heart of the Swarm would be out by October. Not sure about Heart of the Swarm haven't looked at it as I've only recently picked up SC .. but watching last years blizzcon I thought to myself.."what are they gonna talk about next year?" Talk about patches? Who cares.Posted in: News

The more clear question is - is this coming with in the next hour or so, or should I go to bed?

Edit: Nevermind, it's on front page.

However I don't know the schedule, so I could be wrong and we could learn a lot tomorrow.

I'm curious what a sign would be. I assume any presentation they have is saved on a flash drive. I don't think they would have a big poster or anything because well it would be revealed by now. However since you work there what is stuff that you would expect to see?
If there special announcement is PS4/Xbox1 i hate them

PFFT WHAT? I thought this was HILARIOUS. LOL HAHAHA. Come on, what's not funny about poking fun at Activision? LOL FUNNY!

However, if it was going to be released this year we would have an announcement by now.

I'm dreading the announcement of everything being account bound because I want to buy the expansion. I'm leaning toward expansion announcement though, or at least trailer. They better no be hyping up the PS4/Xbox one announcement.
PS Nice sig, check out my avatar!

I'm guessing either Itemization preview or Expansion 1 announcement. I know this is a bit optimistic however they need something to boost moral for this game. Nobody cares right now.

I haven't logged in for 3 weeks but now I have a desire to play again, just because of how much potential this game could have. Please suggest this on the battle.net forums and once again thank you for not manipulating us with your photoshop skills.

Nobody wants to sit around and wait for itemization, we all want it this upcoming Tuesday. However, it is the backbone of this game. This is not world of warcraft where we get new raids every few months and that satisfies our thirst for content. Diablo rewards us with an endless item hunt and a desire to continuously update and customize our characters. Without proper itemization any type of game mode that offers a reward will ultimately lack replay value.
The current system is a failure because the design of it was flawed. I know it seems like forever but Blizzard had to evaluate the situation, take proper action, and get the right people in here. It seems like the wheels are moving which is a good sign. As much as a game like this is random, Diablo III is way too randomized in terms of item rolls and drops. I have just as a good of chance of getting an echoing fury off of a skeleton in Act I as I do MP 10 ubers. Well, that's untrue to an extent however my point is these game modes are worthless if 1.) they don't offer high chance at rewards and 2.) the rewards aren't worth it.

Everything else is fine and dandy but as Maka posted, if the rewards suck nobody cares. In regards to the games health it's active however I think it's safe to assume it is gradually declining. I Serpenth, one loyal Blizzard fanboi, hasn't even played in 3 weeks and feel that my second long break from the game is beginning. Which I am ok with, I know as soon as we get the expansion title leak, interest will once again spark for many. Then as Blizzcon approaches interest will spark, and when the expansion is announced, interest will spark. However those sparks could explode or die instantly once loot 2.0 is revealed.

2.) I'm not a fan of this unless they bring back lvl 99 cap with an equivalent grind. Paragon was supposed to be that grind and real talk it's nowhere near as brutal as it was before patch 1.0.8. After this interview I have lost all desire to play any other heroes. I already have a paragon 100 and spending time on other heroes feels like a waste of time at this point with the potential change. I don't think this system is something you can just make account wide. It should have launched account wide, or stay the way it is. The perks are fine but should apply to each character. I'm not sure how this increases replay value.
3.) This is a stupid point. It decreases the legitimacy of your first two arguments.
