The problem is that they are not PoE players ranting about other games. They are actually Diablo fans that have grinded this game a lot and eventually decided to quit because of lack of new content and gameplay issues. They switched to PoE, WoW or any other game and they are giving their opinion on the current state of D3 after experimenting other things. I haven't ever played PoE but i might just try it out.
No those are the players that can't even solo a 70 and claim that they have played d3 a lot. Sorry but no.
Listen all you have to do is look at my armory. I've played WoW as a hardcore raider for some time before i quit that game, I played d3 and made top 10 in S3, S4, and s10. Not many people I have come across that talks smack D3 is a good player that had switched to PoE. This is simply false.
They're not giving opinions they are being bigoted and hateful towards D3 players for no reason. In this the general public of PoE are simply children. Like i said I have played both games and played them well and i have experienced both communities. If all you do is go to a Diablo fansite and bash players and a game, maybe you should direct some of your free time to the game you're actually playing and then those people would probably be better players and people.
There is a massive difference between D3 casual play and D3 competitive play. Only people who play for leaderboards and push in group grifts know this difference. There is a huge difference between grift 60 and a grift 105 solo. Not only in terms of how good your gear is but how you approach the grift.

Yea d3 was A LOT of fun and i spent probably even more than 1500 hours ! (played on eu and us serv, played hc for a while too). But OPs question unfortunately was not posted here 5 seasons ago but today and as for today: game is dead and a paid new class for same content (dont even start with QOL changes that should be done seasons ago!) wont resurrect it. Nail to the coffing was HUDE NOTHING announced on blizzcon last year. Sure some may come back for NEcro launch... but that doesnt change the fact that game is on its last breath. SO again, buyin this gane NOW and paying for another expansion in upcoming weeks - something i do not recommend at this moment
again: why not try PoE tha is FREE. but its not as easy and str8 forward as d3.. u look for some challenge? u want to be forced to think once in a while? u want to be excited when something drops? Then U r on wrong forum ;/
and final word from me as i opened diablofans today only by mistake and not gonna post anymore... GAME WAS FUN until like 3 seasons ago.. now its just powercreep, no big game changes, same ol borin paragon farming...
RIP d3, see You all in diablo 4 hopefully sooner than in 10 years !

EDIT2: Bleu42 nicely put.. if ur good at d3, know what u r doing and have some party then u can be done with seasonal journey on 1st weekend lol then yea.. if u want to go for leaderboards and get some good spot on it (top 100) u r forced to grind same shit EVERY day not to fall behind in paragon farm.. on top of that U r forced to play 1-2 setups if u want to get into 4men party, no one will take U for higher content with some non meta build so dont be fooled by amount of sets for each class..

Try Path of Exile - IT IS what diablo 3 should be and its FREE and it will have HUGE expansion in 2 months also FREEEEEEEEEEEEE Only thing u can buy is stash tabs and cosmetics... Its much more complexed game than d3 tho so takes more time to get into it but on the other hand - I moved to PoE few months ago and STILL i know maybe 15% of game... D3- ull be bored after week of GRs..
