Yes, definitely a good change. Gladly they are doing requested improvements every now and then. Even most of this year's QoL changes are from the forums.

posted a message on What do you think about the new Challenge Rifts mode?

The Challenge Rifts should be arranged so that in some point they would become actually challenging. Like successful clear would raise the Gr level by 1 or 3 or 5.

    Player's 5 first clears (let's say 35, 40, 45, 50, 55) would each grant 5 of boynty mats.

Then we are starting to talk about _challenge rifts_ and would be still for casuals too.

Thanks! However, now I figured out that actually it was one hell of a spam detector. I realised I should have edited the poll results on the original topic anyway as there were some good comments already. I edited the results there also, couldn't delete either and now I am, detected by a machine, a spammer.

One important aspect outside the content patches: we are still waiting for a patch that improves solo bounty viability.

posted a message on Diablo 3 Future Patches Poll Results

    Greetings!

Diablo 3 team is busy adjusting the Necromancer but sooner or later comes the time when it is decided whether Diablo 3 is still worth working for. If the Necro sold well, we very well might see another Class DLC meaning there's also hope for new content patches. This time we got two new areas and the Challenge Rifts. What the community would like to see next? I spread a poll throughout the community: Diablofans.com, r/diablo and r/diablo3. Also, the official forums

were informed but the polls are not allowed there.

It seems that the results don't lie a lot as the percentages remained pretty much the same whole time. The Summary is subjectively written by me so if you disagree, feel free to comment and express your opinion.

    Results: http://www.strawpoll.me/13347478/r

    1. Improved Item Balance and Build Diversity (515 votes, 21%)

The players are frustrated how the sets rule everything and how sets are demanded to have a powerful character. Usually a set demands 2-4 mandatory legendary items which make sets feel like 8-10 piece sets and that's surely dimenishing the build diversity. Even if we are not going to see sets nerfed, unused legendaries should be buffed greatly in order to mix the builds as much as possible. The Rimeheart buff was not enough, but that kind of adjustments should be done each patch. Buff them at least a little until they are being used in some build variants. New items could help as well.

    2. Paragons Re-design (more depth) (433 votes, 18%)

Some people don't like how paragon progression continues forever but the biggest issue is that after P800, there's only boring main stat buffing left. Here's the best solution I've seen:
    http://www.diablofans.com/forums/diablo-iii-general-forums/diablo-iii-general-discussion/153799-suggestion-optimistic-idea-for-paragon-update

    3. New Rift Type / Game mode (321 votes, 13%)

Despite a lot of criticism towards endless rifting, it's third on the list. However, I shouldn't have combined it with "new game mode", which probably gained some of the votes. Sure, why not new rift too, as long as it's not the only

content coming within the next year. A suggestion:

    https://www.reddit.com/r/diablo3/comments/5doi5t/infinite_rift_suggestion/

    4. Runewords (261 votes, 11%)

There's a lot of love for Runewords. The lack of them makes us feel like a certain dimension is missing from the build designing. They wouldn't have to be so powerful that everyone got to find them like set items. Some of them could be as

simple as "+200 to all resistances". They doesn't need to be like the old Runewords were but definitely this is one the most iconic content that is still missing from the game. One solution as an alternative Runeword system, perhaps more

    suitable for modern Diablo game:
    http://www.diablofans.com/forums/diablo-iii-general-forums/diablo-iii-general-discussion/222120-wild-vision-runeword-ancients-picture-included#c19

    5. Revived Campaign Mod (208 votes, 8%)

As the voting suggests, a lot of players are missing the campaign mode. Sure we can play it with high difficulty but we would like to play it with our endgame characters, too. One suggestion could be a rewarding campaign mode started with desired endgame character. The first playthrough with each character would reward the Act I-IV rewards and ACT V reward would be granted each time the endgame campaign mode is cleared.

Act I: one additional affix to a chosen item (becomes character bound)
Act II: socketing an item which has no sockets yet (becomes character bound)
Act III: Achieving a new item which cannot be found elsewhere.
Act IV: A realm opens once to a furious battle granting Hellfire materials.
    Act V:
Difficulty of GR50: 50 of each bounty material
Difficulty of GR50+10n: 50+25n of each bounty material. n=1,2,3,4,5,6 (Gr60,70,80 etc)

    6. In-Game Shop for stash, pets etc. NO pay to win (197 votes, 8%)

I think it's rather a strong message that people are willing to pay for pets and stashes if it benefits the Diablo series. However, probably no-one wants pay-to-win model to Diablo.

    7. More Areas (182 votes, 7%)

New areas are always nice. Well, who wouldn't want an Act 6 for example. However, areas are not seen as important as other options in the survey. There's different people working for them, though. So sure, bring them with the new class! Druid / Amazon or their hybrid and Skovos, anyone?

    8. Talisman with Charms (143 votes, 6%)

Some players like charms, other hate them. It is easy to compare them to Runewords in this poll. The charms gained only half of the votes compared to Runewords.

    9. Nothing. Stop Working on Diablo 3 (118 votes, 5%)

While the survey system didn't let this option gain percentually a lot of votes, they will decide the fate of the future according the active players and Necro DLC success rather than this poll.

    10. PvP (77 votes, 3%)

Well, it's certainly minority who see PvP important aspect anymore. Saying that, it wouldn't hurt anyone if Nek the Brawler was given a kill count and the Training Grounds would provide let's say... 1000% more defense for players making the match at least last for a while.

Bonus: There's a lot of ways how to improve D3. Here's some odd system I made a video about, containing the scrapped pieces of Devil's Hand:

My desire for the next class: Amazon/Druid

posted a message on Druid & Amazon Hybrid - The next DLC?

It's easy to see there's plenty of possibilities for Druid skills but it's harder to think that what kind of skills they would give Amazon if she was made as a single class. Javelin and some Bow skills but other than that, a lot have been covered by current classes?

By the way, what should be changed regarding the Campaign Mode? I know that there's a huge demand for endgame campaign mode but is there something you would change in a normal leveling up campaign mode? I would make Azmodan to shut up or at least make him more powerful so he wouldn't seem just a person with a lot of words. Bosses should be harder, in my opinion. We should fear facing them.

It is a matter of new acts but it was brilliant how D2 Act 3 built up to face Mephisto! First jungle, then the suburbans eventually getting wealthier and then the temple. It was just thrilling to face him.

Dificulty-wise I find campaign pretty nice because I tend to level up in Master to Torment 4.

I agree 100%. However, that's more a matter of a game design philosophy rather than a very time consuming content to add. This poll focuses more for things that we could hope for late 2018. Difficulties could be adjusted already for Season 12, if they wanted to.

I'm going to say a word or two about it when writing about revived campaign mode.

Classes I took for granted if they want to monetise. Expansion (Act6) is something I already, depressedly, have given up.

posted a message on Druid & Amazon Hybrid - The next DLC?

What makes the Necro DLC interesting is that in 2016, there was mostly Druid inquiries in the forums, followed by Amazon inquiries. The Necro was asked after the D3 release but before the necro leak, the druid was more popular topic.

At least that's what I recall. It makes me wonder they choosed necro expecting to do druid later. Just my two cents.

I can't find the source anymore but I remember them saying that if necro does well, they are considering other classes as well. However, I found this from Blizzcon:

"Q: What other character were you thinking about putting back into the game other than the Necro?

A: We had an idea for new classes. Druids were popular in the office, Amazon etc. I think we feel nostalgic for the Necromancer and seemed like the right guy for this year."

It would be great to rip all the small mobs as a werewolf and when it's time to strike down a boss, I would rapidly change back to human form and finish the monster with couple lethal arrows shot from a heavy bow.
