I still never used thud. even though I'm pushing the leaderboards pretty high, the only real benefit I see is avoid walking into dead ends in high grifts and maybe the elite destribution on the minimap. the latter should clearly be a standard feature of the game...

Hello, thanks to everyone for the feedback here. Regarding gem of the toxin it does 1/10th of the damage per second divided into 0.5 second ticks on the target, displayed as white damage numbers not crits. Toxin is not affected by anything that increases poison SKILL damage, like Nayers black death. Basically the damage of toxin is a bit less than Wreath but hits far more consistently.
If both gems are at level 80, WoL would be 650% damage per hit and GoET would be 600% damage per hit...
So literally you're getting... move speed? Outside of a speedfarming scenario, specifically, this just makes WoL seem like complete trash to me. -

Something like:The cool down of Simulacrum is reduced by 1 second for each enemy hit by bone spear and death nova. While Simulacrum is active, gain 50% damage reduction.
Or:Each skeletal mage you have active reduces damage by 10%, Max 50%.
Or:
Consuming a corpse with devour grants an aura of miasma within 20 yards of you that lasts 15 seconds. Each stack of miasma reduces damage of enemies in the aura by 5%. Max 50%.
Or:
When you spend health on a skill, gain a blood shield that absorbs the same amount of health you spent, up to your maximum health.
Or:
When you hit with a skill that generates Essence, gain 20% damage reduction for each enemy hit for 6 seconds, max 60%.
Your Essence generators deal 200% increased damage when they hit only one target.

the reason why the META build players go into a pub lobby is for that increased drop rate. That is all. We need people like to because you serve to us as drop rate sticks.
Now if you speed clear GR60-70 for T1-10 for you that because we are a) low leveling gems, and its boring to do it solo straight up bored c) remember us over geared players help you out more than you think. Say you've been playing the for only 20 hours (thats 10 days, 2 hrs per day) and a rama gift never dropped for you. Guess what? us paragon 1000+ have 20+ in our inventory and it just dropped for us.
Long story short, beggers can't be choosers. You seem like the type of person that would complain about a player carrying the whole team on GR45 and then expect the next GR to be a GR70. can we carry you in a GR70, yes. Will we, no. -

Just be happy the rifts are going to be fast and you'll reap the rewards with little to no work done. If you don't like it, how about you go play solo instead.

It also takes 15min or so to get a powerlevel to 70. If solo, just make sure you have a leveling weapon with gem of ease, Leoric's Signet, Hellfire Ring, and leoric's crown with max level ruby.

I'm agreeing with most of the stuff here, basic crux is that you completely gimp yourself by not forcing yourself to play multiplayer, I just don't like playing in groups and having to go on teamspeak and not be able to pause to go feed a cat or answer an email, general life things. its a losing situation because all anyone judges you on is your paragon level, regardless of your skill.
Maybe just stop trying to compete against the people that play 10h/day and only judge others because of paragon. Who cares about their judgment? If you are playing solo like me you shouldn't. Leaderboards are a joke we all know that. Only thing that matters is inner judgment and playing for fun. Just try out all the amazing builds out there and see how far you can get with them. Put some music on, destroy some mobs and relax.

Maybe they should implement a random Captcha like thing, or a random "quest" that just pops up and says "go to this map within 2 mins for a prize" something difficult to program a bot for.

Tested this myself with forensic video analysis. Basically put together a standardised set of gear to compare damage numbers.
After the massive nerf to the way Inarious procs Miranae and all
other on hit procs, I was looking for alternatives just for normal T13
and low rifts.
Basically in my tests I averaged 30.4 bn hits with miranae and 2.6 bn
hits with wreath of lightning (My Miranae is lvl 92 with 8520% damage
and my Wreath is 89 with 3475% damage)
Between my two gems the on sheet % damage difference is 2.451x so if i
hit about 30.4 bn with Miranae I should hit 12.41 bn with Wreath of
lightning with the exact same gear. Instead as listed above it was
around 2.6bn which is 4.773 times less than it should be.
Edit: For anyone interested in the numbers its aprox 728% damage per hit rather than 3475 at level 89
I know Wreath has been in this state for a while, however most people
trust the tooltip and don't realise its actually a Wreath of LIE -tning
(yes that was terrible lets move forward)
Just something I wanted to share. I think necros skill damage needs
to be rechecked, Inarious is meant to be the nova set as well as work
with the iron rose offhand but wow 450% damage for a skill is insanely
low. 18.9x less damage than one miranae smite
