I haven't personally ran into this, but have heard it happen to friends. I heard it described as a gray screen, but I bet this is it.

I'll post this over at battle.net. Sucks they won't let console players post there without a pay wall. I bought D3 non-RoS for $9.99 through the blizz store just so I could post there.

I've been told by friends that the monster health buff is based on how many players began the rift (using rift keys). Is that not true? Are you certain it buffs the monster health for the players who weren't part of the original rift party?

Not sure the elite affixes are any different, but I definitely agree that it's significantly more laggy overall than last season. It was very rare to run into warping/rubber banding last season, but this season it's much more frequent.

    For anyone who cares:

The Hellcat Waistguard is disabled in 2.6 code. Has a drop rate of zero. It's also not flagged for DH stats, which likely explains the reforging issue.

So anybody who claims to have seen one drop after 2.6 is either mistaken or lying.

The old Hellcat is still rolling random main stats and skills. Not restricted to DH/dex like it should be.

had a ton of mats saved up, and upgraded rare over 100 times. Never rolled a Hellcat. What are the odds? I got at least 3 copies of every other belt.

    Found this:

    https://us.battle.net/forums/en/d3/topic/20757605617

I think there's something going on with it. According to a post in the battlenet thread, Hellcat is rare but not as rare was Witching Hour, which I rolled at least 3 times.

I'll check it again when I get a chance to play again later tonight. Could've been a fluke. If it's still happening, I'll try to get another one from upgrading rares, and see if the same thing occurs on reforge. Might just be a problem with the specific one I had in my stash...I hope so.

The one I reforged to start with definitely had the grenade bounces. I don't think that's it. Good thinking though.

Based on my research, the grenade bounces were added in patch 2.4.3, which came out in January. I didn't get the game until the end of February.

posted a message on Possible bug with Hellcat Waistguard and Cube - Xbox One

It was near the end of my play session last night, so I didn't extensively keep testing. However, I figure maybe somebody who has time to play during the day today can look into this.

I have a non-seasonal Demon Hunter (always been non-seasonal, it's my first char). In my stash I had Hellcat Waistguard that I wanted to reforge in the cube. But every time I reforged, the resulting item had random stats instead of DH/Dex like it should've. I tried I think 6 or 7 times.

If nobody replies before later on tonight, I'll try it again and see if I can confirm it's bugged.

    More good ideas.
I totally forgot about asking for a game browser. Yes, having "Quick Match" as literally the only way to join another public game is lame.
    11) Progression in rift indicator Why does it just shows up at 95%? it would be good to know it since the beginning, would give lil indication about when to scout for pylons.

The progression bar is visible the entire time in the console version. Wonder why they decided to make that different from PC?

    posted a message on Suggested D3 improvements/enhancements

So I picked up D3 in February, and I've played all throughout S10 on Xbox One. After many many hours, I have a few suggestions on changes. Let me know what y'all think.

    1) Pick some preset paragon level that allows a player to do GRifts without keystones

Make it level 700, or 800 perhaps. But pretty much everybody who gets to these high paragon levels can clear T13 NRifts without trouble. I think by the time you reach that point, you shouldn't be required to slog through NRifts if all you're wanting to do is push GRifts. After P700, NRifts would still give you gold/items/DB/XP, but Rift Guardians wouldn't drop GRift keystones anymore. I mean, by the time you get to such high paragon levels in a season, I feel like you've earned the privilege to skip NRifts for GRift keys.

    2) Guaranteed ancients from Kanai's Cube

Add a cube recipe for "Upgrade Legendary to Ancient". This would simply take a regular Legendary and make it ancient, with random stat roll. Double the resource requirements from existing Reforge Legendary. So that would mean 10x for each bounty mat and 100 forgotten souls. Perhaps even require 25 death's breath. "Upgrade Legendary to Ancient" would not increase chance for Primal Ancient, and "Reforge Legendary" would work the same way it does now.

    3) Speed up legendary gem upgrade upgrade process at Urshi

If you watch the numbers in the stats of the gem, you already know whether or not the upgrade worked because it updates instantly. But before you spend another chance, you have to wait for the stupid animation and sound to finish. Yeah it's only a few seconds, but is still very annoying and gets old quick.

    4) Add option to disable boss battle invites

I've read that Blizzard isn't crazy about split bounties, so this is probably something that wouldn't be considered, but it would be great if there was an ability to turn off boss battle invites. It's so annoying to be attacking with the A button and accidentally accept an invitation to a boss battle. You can't even get back to where it teleported you from. So if you had 3 enemies left in level 2 of some dungeon, the only way to get back there after being summoned to a boss battle is to travel via waypoint and go from there. Sucks.

    5) Allow inspection of party members' equipment/skills regardless of distance

What is the point of requiring me to practically stand right next to a fellow party member in order to look at his gear and skills? This is completely arbitrary. I cannot conceive of a technical limitation that would prevent the devs from doing away with this requirement and letting you view party members' details no matter where they are in the world.

    6) Vote kick for consoles

Pretty much self explanatory. Put it on the party menu. I understand the complication with games being hosted by individual players. But there's no reason they can't at least provide the ability to kick non-host players. Yeah you're still screwed if the host goes idle, but being able to kick non-host players is way better than what we have now.

    7) Remove gems without jeweler

This is fairly minor, but since removing gems doesn't cost anything as of patch 2.5, why do we still need to go to the jeweler? I guess because the skills/inventory menu doesn't have an interface for it? Shouldn't be that hard to add.

    8) Make "Mass salvage" also salvage Junk

Has anyone ever wanted to mass salvage, but keep your junk? Me neither.

posted a message on Leaderboards (Xbox) don't show Paragon level

    Xbox One.

The leaderboards let you inspect the inventory and skills of builds, but unless I'm just missing it somewhere, it doesn't show Paragon points.

Is this the same on PS4? I would imagine so.

Can anybody think of a logical reason why they don't let you see Paragon levels? It has to be intentional, but I can't conceive of any sensible rationale for it.

Playing with friend on T10-T13 difficulty with Custerian Wristguards cubed power + puzzle ring + boon of the hoarder, you can get to level 70 in 15 minutes or less. Pretty much instantly. The most recent time doing this with my wife, I got her to level 69 in the vault, and within 30 seconds of starting a rift she was 70

hmm sounds totally legit. especially since you have to be lvl70 to join a game above T6. leveling can be done in less than an hour yes, but in t6.
It might only work for local co-op on console. You can get around the T6 limit by:
    1) Make sure you're Player 2 and not Player 1 already in a T13 game with your current hero
    2) Drop out of the game
    3) Sign in again, and join with a new hero.
It works, at least on Xbox One.

Diablo is a specific kind of game. It's all about the grind. Yes, it is very simple and repetitive.

But in addition to the grind for better gear and more XP, there is replay value to be found in:

    - Seasons/Season Journal

Everyone starts new. Of course you won't be able to compete on the leaderboards with the addicts who have time to play for 6-8 hrs per day, but it's still fun to progress through the Season Journey. It gives you specific things to do.

    - Challenges

There are tons of challenges you can do, for both seasonal and non-seasonal/career. Each class also has multiple set dungeons you can complete, which by itself can provide hours of gameplay while you farm for the set pieces.

    - Classes

There are six classes, each with at least two builds that are capable of high GR endgame progression. You can experiment with different playstyles and find the ones you like the best.

    - Rare events/items

There are some things that happen very rarely that require you to just keep playing in order to find. And you can get cosmetic rewards from them.

So yeah...the core gameplay itself gets "old" after a while. But the game does give you a lot of things to do if you're interested.

For me $20 is a no-brainer for this game, that is unless you're not into farming/leveling/grinding. But that's what Diablo is all about, so if it's not your cup of tea, there's no reason to play this game.

"leveling a new character is easy and quick in this game"

Yes, particularly after you've invested time to build a high level character at least once. Your stash, paragon points, and cube powers are available to all of your characters within a season and non-seasonal respectively.

On a side note - I hope you're playing seasons. Because if you're not, and plan to get GOLD membership just to get bounty mats is a pointless move. Non seasoned characters can just dupe any item on consoles. NOT saying you'll dupe, but being in a public lobby - other's can and will spoil it for you.

Seasons you can not dupe and is worth doing split bounties for.

I'm playing Seasonal. Thanks for the tip though,
Worked out pretty well last night. Split farming definitely the way to go. It's too bad Xbox doesn't let you kick individual players from the game though. Had a couple players that just wanted to come in and farm XP, weren't helping with the bounties at all....even though the game was labeled for bounties.

We found two rainbow goblins and I got two out of three ancient items I was looking for by reforging. I'm already out of mats again though lol.
