I've had quite a lot of fun with the Monk this season, and wanted to use that experience as a springboard for playing a Monk in Immortal at the beginning of next month. Maybe you should consider what class you're going to play in Immortal and choose from there!

Why are they showing artworks of how the gear look like? Well, I guess I know why; because they look like shi* in-game
All artwork looks stunning until you see it in-game.
Would've been better if we saw how they really looked like.
The in game models for Immortal actually look incredibly good, especially when you compare it to D3. You can view a bunch of the armor sets using our model viewer here on the site, but just keep in mind that the model viewer does not show special effects on items--nor does it have AA or environmental lighting.

The paragon board really concerns me. Mechanics like Paragon is what spoilt D3 because it turned the gear hunt into a just grind xp 24/7 for infinite power and whoever played 24/7 xp grinding got rank 1.
I'm fine with there being this player-power progression thing but I hope it's tied to in-game achivements and not just XP grinding. I hope it's not infinite and also I hope a decent amount of your power comes from gear. ARPGs are a looter game first and formost, gear should be exciting not a second thought.
Have you seen what the Paragon system is like in Diablo Immortal? I think it shows that it's possible to have a paragon system that works and doesn't diminish the loot aspect.

Yeah, just a heads up for the people reading this upgrading your stones gives random buffs. Some of them are static like the main gimic. But some roll int/str/dex different types of bonus damage, the amount you can roll varies on a scale just like legendaries do. There is going to be a lot of frustration about this because the upgrade stones are about as rare as Rama's without the PTR buff.
Thanks for the heads up! I went back to test and can confirm that the upgrades occur from a pool, and from within a range. I've updated the post accordingly!

Unfortunately, the reason it was easier was because players weren't consistently making a new game to complete a simple goal (like killing one specific boss) and immediately making a new game right after--over and over and over and over again. Now that players are at the point where it's time to farm gear, it's that specific gameplay that is causing a huge load on the servers.

I was genuinely surprised, I did not expect to get a release date announcement before the end of the month, let alone an actual September release.
I was legitimately shocked to get an announcement during the Xbox / Bethesda press conference, but I'm just glad I was watching at the time.

While I've never had this exact issue, I have had similar problems on console before. For me, I usually just take a break for several hours and when I return the issues have been resolved. I'm not saying that this will be the solution, but it might help just to wait and try again!

This next PTR cycle is super exciting, but it's worth considering that it has been rather common for the PTR to be delayed for one reason or another; therefore, while I believe the PTR will be up today, I wouldn't expect to see it until after 3pm PST or later.

Can confirm what Bagstone is saying. Nobody on the DiabloFans team as it is right now had any say on this matter. We understand that it's frustrating, and we wish we could go back and change it; however, it's not a possibility. If we change how account linking works in the future, we will do our best to avoid this kind of situation again.

Curse was moving in a different direction and wanted to close all of their community sites, but Magic Find came in and purchased MMO-Champion, HearthPwn, and DiabloFans. When the transition happened, DiabloFans was reopened and myself & Neinball were brought on to run the site!

The build finder is working, even though it produces errors. As far as future enhancements are concerned, all I can say at the moment is that we have discussed it and are interested in doing so. We would certainly like to clean up those errors on the build finder, that's for sure!
