The nerf to NT doesn't really bother me. As others have said it just means that I can experiment with other hatred spenders and not feel like I'm totally bad or subpar for doing so.
What I'm more interested to see is if the damage reduction makes stacking survival stats actaully valid for Demon Hunters.
Hard candy; 9 / 10. I love that actress and the movie had me on edge the entire time. But I'm not used to the badguy being the one always tied up so I couldn't help but hope he could escape each time rofl
One of my fav. movies of all time. Ellen page is amazing in it.
I'd give it a 9/10. It was incredibly well executed. It is pretty dark in both themes and content, but all of the actors are fantastic. Well worth it if you think you can handle the subject matter.
Congrats Aran, also just got the beta myself
I'll come back here and give my opinions on the Demon Hunter once I've got the download. Hoping that it plays as well as it seems to in the video footage!
I honestly don't think they will try to balance out PvP too much. They may make a few tweaks here and there if one class completly annihilates all the others but other than that I wouldn't hold my breath. I think Azidonis hit it on the head - they have already stated they won't balance the game around PvP. WoW is a different matter. Being a MMORPG as opposed to an ARPG makes the focus a fair bit different. As I said in another thread Blizzard seems to be treating PvP in this game as more of an added bonus. Something they added on because some people find it fun. I seriously doubt they will bother trying to make all the classes equal in this regard.
All right, all right. You do have a point in that the spenders are more powerful and should be a bigger part of the build. I still think that MfD is the only discipline I want to use though I could be (and probably will be) proven wrong once I play around with the game.
If you don't agree, what would you do?
Personally I'd make a couple of small adjustments. Correct me if I'm wrong, but choosing Evasive fire as one of your generators kind of says to me that you want to stay away from your enemies as much as possable yes? Because of this I don't think Fan of Knives is a good choice for your build. As Rajivtm said you already have a few AoE abilities so another one really isnt necessary. Personally I'd swap out Fan of knives for Vault. However if you -really- do not want another dicipline spender then I would swap it out for rapid fire. It has the ability to kinda be an AoE if you need it to, but it also does great single target damage.
Other than that I would swap out the Golden Rune on Marked for Death for a Indigo Runestone. With the ammount of aoe damage you have it would be quite useful to have the whole group of monsters taking larger ammounts of damage at the same time as opposed to just one. The last change I would do is change over custom engineering. 30 seconds isn't a short ammount of time and most fights (excluding bosses) will be done before then I would imagine. Swapping it over for Steady Aim could be a good idea as you shouldn't be getting to close to the bad guys with evasive fire and/or vault anyway.
Just my two cents Overall an interesting build, goodluck!
Originally I really didn't like the idea of the DH. However after watching a fair bit of gameplay I can happily say that the DH will most likely be my first class that I roll. In order I will probably play:
If they were to return in the fashion that they were implemented in Diablo 2, then no. Death to the rune word. As many have said, it kind of "broke" the game. While wizzing around on a Hammerdin with Teleport was fun, it didn't have much challenge and got pretty boring pretty quickly.
If they were to bring back runes and bring in a system where creating a "runeword" would rather just generate a random Rare of the item you socketed then I may be on board. But I honestly don't see much of a need to do so. I know for sure that I am 100% against putting other classes skills onto items however.

Someone pull me up and correct me if I'm wrong, but hasn't Blizzard stated that they arn't going to balance the classes around PvP? That statement alone kind of tells me that Blizzard doesn't have much interest in turning Diablo 3 into an E-sport. PvP has its place in most games and it seems in Diablo 3 its going to be more of a "It's in because you guys find it fun, and it can be cool. But it isn't the focus of this game"
As a personal opinion it really doesn't phase me either way if it becomes an "E-sport" or not. I'm still going to happily grind away at inferno as best I can (Although I do hope that PvE skills arn't changed for the sake of PvP balance)
I thought that the DH would be the second last class I would try and the monk would be the first. After watching gameplay videos however I've fallen in love with the DH and it will definatly be my first choice.
Continue to do what I've done all through the release. Watch videos, check this site daily for news and bask in the awesomeness that is the knowledge that we shall "soon" have the full game in our hands
Yeh, found myself in the same situation. Installed Diablo 2 and LOD [again] about a week ago and started up a bowazon. Got tired of it pretty quickly though to be honest. I've played that game to my limit I think. Don't get me wrong, it's still a great game, but even I have my limits
At the moment I'm basically just playing 30 minutes - 1 hour of whatever I have installed on my HD and playing 2k12 on PS3. Bring on release date!
Going along the same lines as many here, I don't think a healing monk will be OP. This game isn't designed to be your standard healing/tank/dps rpg trio, but rather focusing on any class being able to dish out damage. While the monks healing capabilities will come in handy, I don't think it will be to much of an issue to the point where it will need to be nerfed. The damage output (hopefully) will be enough that the monk won't be able to worry about just healing.
And as Pro902 says, if he's just focused on healing, he isn't doing any damage.

300% on 2 players = 600. So 150 each.
Although to be honest I'd lean towards everyone just having 150% mf and decent gear.
