posted a message on Thanks for nothing Blizzard
Read somewhere that in US alone, over 800.000 had pre-ordered the game. How many there are in Europe and Asia I can't start to guess. In addition, quite a few people bought the game in a store on the 15th. Most of these people will be eager enough to attempt to play on the first occation.

When 1,000,000 + players SIMULTANUOSLY tries to login, you realize things probably won't go too smoothly. I never expected it to, and never dreamt of taking a day off to be among the millions to spam the login button.

You can have as big a server you'd like, no one can meet this peak of traffic. People who thought so are gullible.

    Americans and their lawsuits...

posted a message on Any fans NOT planning on playing soon?
    Today:
Put together a PC (for the first time)

    Tomorrow:
Pick up the game on my way home.
Install game, play for 2-3 hours

Working 9-5 every day of the week, so I'll have a couple of hours every evening.

The missus won't be impressed though; we have an 8 week old baby boy at home ^_^ Will naturally have to chip on the bottlefeeding and report for diaper duty (and it's hard being away from him more than 30 minutes at the time, he's a real charm ;) )

    Guess my playtime will be...

    Between 6pm and midnight
    WHEN he's not awake
AND tomorrow's bottles are cleaned and prepared
    AND the dog is walked
AND the GF is okay on her own

    hmmm....

posted a message on The "Can My Computer Run It?!" FAQ
Found out that the Intel 4 Series in my laptop is unsupported and probably won't allow me to run the game at all, I realize I have to purchase a new computer after all.

    How about:

    Intel Core i3 2100
    8GB RAM
    Sapphire Radeon HD 7750 1GB

Should this be enough to run on max in 1920x1080?

Along with other components (case, PSU, motherboard, DVD, HDD), I'm looking at about $1000. Also, I need a monitor :(
Was hoping to be able to delay this until summer, but I need me some Diablo!

posted a message on Wisdom Teeth...
I had all four of them removed earlier this year, two at the time.

Would've had no problem at all playing afterwards, frankly it'd just be nice to have something exciting to focus on.
I wasn't really experiencing much pain, took some painkillers now and then and made sure I chewed my food on the opposite site of where the wounds were healing.

P.S. Make sure you flush thoroughly morning and evening, you DON'T want any infections in there. Also, don't eat rice or other stuff that might lodge itselft in where your teeth used to be, it takes a while for the "craters" to even out ;)

    Happy gaming! :)

    Thanks Ducha :)

I can see myself playing quite a bit during my father's leave in a 9 months :P

This release gives me an eerie sensation of lost youth, remembering the day I sat in the back seat of the car on my way home from the store, a Diablo II case in my lap. Gonna be great anyway :D

posted a message on Vacation request in, who else is with me?
I won't be taking days off from work, spending them sitting in front of a computer 24/7 , stuffing my face with pizza, fries, soda and sweets, laying waste to whatever progress I've been had with weightloss and general health at the local gym for the past 6 months.

I'm really looking forward to the game coming out, having spent my childhood playing D1 and D2.

But I'm grown now, and can't take such liberties anymore. Besides, I have a son on the way, expected in three weeks time. I can only guess how happy the miss would be finding me neglecting our first spawn, spending every second on a video game (and frankly, I couldn't blame her).

I spend about 1-4 hours a day on the couch watching telly shows or whatever is on, I can see these hours being spent in front of the computer instead.

*reminiscing my teenage years in a smelly basement, looting and demon slaying along with my pals all summer long*

Looking forward to getting my hands on the game once it launches, will create a Wizard as my first char and try out different combinations of skills.

Looks like an amazing character :)

OT... I'm not usually offended by stuff online, but Bandyto, do you mind changing your avatar? I find my heart rate accelerating and guts turning in disgust at the sight of that motherf***er... :fret:
