Also, if they really did ditch Pico over people's comments... Harsh!

Did read most of it, but there's a line in your first paragraph that sums up my argument nicely. Note, I'm not against PvP really, but I would want Blizzard to at least keep the two separated. I know the whole comparing to WoW is getting tiresome, but there's something to take note of in the constant struggle for rebalancing skills to match both PvE and PvP that marks its lengthy history of patch notes. Lately we've seen some improvement in this with skills being split into PvP and PvE components, and consequently with PvP being enclosed in instances separate from the PvE world, making this split technically possible. I reckon this won't be much different in D3, since PvP is in a closed off arena as well, but my biggest concern, and one I guess many share with me, is that PvE's skills and character balance will be (negatively) affected by Blizzard's attempt to balance them for PvP.
Fortunately for me, and probably less so for you, Blizzard disagrees with your perspective that PvP is the biggest thing in endgame Diablo. And with them, a lot of players do.
To me, PvP is something I just loathe to do. I don't mind the functionality, but it's just a terrible terrible experience for me. To copy your math: Trading items and killing PvE stuff would ammount to 2/2 for me. PvP may be an aspect of the game to play, but it's one I just plain don't like and never have. Again, this doesn't mean it shouldn't be in the game, but your claim that the game's experience is incomplete without it, and that it's the only logical endpoint of the game's progression, is entirely subjective.

I have the same, never have to use Vsync except in D3 beta. Funny xD

Tbh I don't know which I'll like best. Depends on class also.
For Barb, I'll probably go with something dark, with shots of blue or red. Nothing bright. Also, perhaps vanishing dye on either Helm (as in the brute commander look), or Chest/Legs (as in a more gladiator-ish look).
Wizard will have a more regal look, navy blue-ish or a dark red-ish, or purple. With gold. Possibly CE Bottled Cloud dye or more of a baby-blue color.
Monk, probably beige/sand mixed with dark red or blue. Vanishing dye on the shoulders if they all end up looking like random scrap metal ductaped to the upper arm.
DH black with dark greens or dark red.
Witch Doctor, I have no idea tbh.

Weird. Whenever I use Dashing strike on an enemy that's all the way at the edge, I get dashed only to the edge of that group of enemies, cutting just short :< Can't say that it's in all cases, but I specifically remember this as it annoyed me a bit the couple times I tried to hit .

Have you ever done a D2 Hell difficulty Immune-pack with Lightning Enchant, extra fast and Fanaticism (to name a random pita combo)? That takes you quite some time to kill at a high risk of dying if you don't have the right element to counter the immunity or a good merc. Suck it up and live with it. 8-)

Also, it's not even being mad about the game coming out later, just the release date announcement coming later xD

Nothing wrong with excitement. As you say it's a fan site, it's only natural, and heck I'm part of it as much as you or the next guy. But this douche a few posts up saying he'll stop his WoW payment, bombing Blizzard, and so on if he doesn't get a release date announced this week, those are the peeps grinding my gears. =\
And fact still remains that Blizzard has said nothing that indicates a release this week, next week or even the week after. "On a scale of 1-10, it's a 9", how does that even say it should be this week. All this theory of press releases usually coming on mondays, the whole MoP thing next week etc., while sounding very logical, is not confirmed by anything Blizz has stated, as far as I can see. It's only interpreted as such by the vast majority of people. Of course, that gets people excited. That's not bad per se, that's just hype. But people going mad when their specific interpretations prove false is just rediculous.

This! Although.. yes I was hoping for one today, but if there's not one today it might be tomorrow, or the day after (or whatever, some monday, I don't care). People feeling somehow 'entitled' to a release date simply because the company said they're 'counting down the days'... God.. It's just an expression, stop taking every god dang comma these folks spit out so literally. I'd not want to be in Blizzard's shoes right now, with the development stress of the game on one hand and a bunch of spoilt brats whining that their precious game's been delayed by a few days on the other...
