So I had an experience this morning that I want to share. I know it's kind of vague.. and maybe my story won't be that interesting.. but I feel like sharing it anyway. :P

    ----

I'm currently living with my dad, and just the recent week I was starting to have trouble waking up with my alarms, to the point where he would ask me if I was awake since he knew I had to leave pretty soon. He left the other day for a trip.

I don't work weekends so I usually stay up a bit later / sleep in but this morning at 6am sharp, which is usually when I'm already at work, I heard quite vividly my dad ask if I was awake. It was so clear that I literally woke up and sat at the edge of my bed and said "yeah I'm awake."

It took a second to realize what happened but it sent shivers down my spine when I recalled that my dad wasn't in town, so I looked around the house and it of course was empty (thankfully..).

Kind of stupid I know.. but it freaked me out and I'm still thinking about it. I had to share.

I love Game of Thrones discussions, but at the same time I hate them because I don't want to give away any spoilers. All I can really say is read the books, if you enjoy the show you'll enjoy the books a lot more since they go more in-depth with the characters. You don't really get much time in Season 1 to love Ned Stark as much as you do in the books. Jaime and Cersei become bigger characters than they are in the beginning by the 4th book. All I can say is all Jaime cares about is having sex with Cersei. He's not really a good or bad guy.

Arya is one of my favorite characters, they butchered some of her story in the show due to time constraints, though. Her time in Harrenhal is much different in the books than Season 2. Even the deaths she asks from Jaqen are different except the last.

Daenerys grows on you. Her story gets really good once she focuses on her goal to get to Westeros. At the beginning shes more of a spoiled brat and I didn't like her.

    Super (2010) 8/10

A movie in the sense of Kick-Ass, where a normal guy assumes the role of a super hero. It's pretty dark humor with a lot of blood and gore. I really enjoyed it, I'd explain why I took some points off but it'd spoil the movie. Rainn Wilson really fits the role perfectly, along with Ellen Page helps bring in some much needed humor.

I recommend it if you liked Kick-Ass, though.

    Donnie Darko (2001) 10/10

I finished watching this earlier today and truly enjoyed this movie. Jake Gyllenhaal does such a great job portraying a "crazy person." The whole movie had me interested to see what Donnie would do next. If you haven't seen this I'd recommend it. It's up there with One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest and Shutter Island as far as these types of movies.

Ha ha.. I've watched that gif more than I'd like to admit. The stagger after the slap and the look on his face just makes me laugh every time.

The top comment for this video also had me laughing:

I thought the video was pretty good. Well edited and hopefully NHL fans will get their season. The NFL lockout was a huge bummer but in the end the season was played.

The same way that Diablo 3 PVP will be strategic and skillful. Limited abilities doesn't make it less strategic, since you'll have to plan ahead on what abilities to select. Not just "oh this happened, time to pop this." PVP in WoW is pretty shallow and unbalanced. Why do you think the pro-gaming tournaments like MLG don't support it anymore? The only tournament that does is one Blizzard hosts itself.

That's not to say PVP in Diablo 3 or Guild Wars 2 will make it into MLG.

There's just simply no depth to the skill required in small group fights, and thus, no skill required in a larger scale.

A duel (if they existed) would be realllllly shallow and not thought provoking. Thats not an opinion.

Okay... if it's not an opinion post some facts.

Whhhaaatttt????? Thief has these GOD awful dash-type attacks which are honestly just an embarassment to the gaming genre. Flanking attack? 75% of the time you dash off in some awkward direction away from your target.

Shadow step (lol they just directly stole that) I forget the exact name , but the one where you teleport to them, then may activate it again to teleport back. The "teleport back" part lasts FOREVER....so if you dont actually want to use that part of it, you have to wait FOREVER to be able to use the intial dash part again.

The 5 for dagger-off-hand. Strike them, leave them vulnerable and vanish. WHY WOULD U WANT TO DO THIS? YOU WANT TO STRIKE THEM, THEN RUN OFF INVISIBLE WHILE THEY ARE VULNERABLE?!?

Ugh it makes me mad I admit it

Not understanding the mechanics doesn't make it bad. Vanishing/Invisibility isn't the same in GW2 as in WoW. Mobs don't magically reset just because you vanish. The vanishing is actually good in the spell since the next move you use coming out of stealth does twice the amount of damage. I'm also not really sure what you're talking about flanking attacks. You can do more damage if you're attacking from behind or the sides, that's true. But there aren't any moves that require it. Much like in WoW solo it's going to be pretty much impossible to be behind the target 90% of the time.

As for Shadow Step.. you do know it was in Guild Wars 1? How could it "be stolen"? As for it's incarnation in Guild Wars 2, you use it to steal the move from the enemy you're targeting. I think it's a pretty interesting move. Some of the moves I've stolen have been pretty powerful to help kill my target.
