This has happened to me a few times. Be glad it was imps. On two separate occasions, I've had it happen with a winged assassin and a terror demon beating on me for the rest of the level. I can 100% confirm that, no matter the frequency or the volume, swearing at your monitor will not get them to disappear. Sadly, the only way to get rid of them is zone to the next floor.

posted a message on i tried 3 times ,just cant pass Gr lvl 34
from the nature of your post, you likely don't have the patience for this, but . . .

when trying to advance to the next level GR:

    1) run ~10 trials or so and get that level of key -- if you can't get that level of key in the trial, you probably have other issues.

    2) once you have a good number of GR xx keys (whatever level you are trying to progress through next), then run those successively until you get a rift that is workable. It doesn't have to be a zombie/conduit rift, just one that isn't pure evil or filled with imp packs all 100 yds apart from one another.

    3) enjoy success or, if you get a good rift and still can't progress - it's an indication you still have some gear work to do. Go speed run more T6 rifts which you should be able to quite easily if you can clear GR 30+

All of that said, I do agree that Blizz still has some work to do for Season 2 and beyond to address possible rift composition as well further balancing on progression credit you get for each type of creature. Right now, they are just balanced around xp you get for the creature natively and that has not translated well to GRs (i.e. credit for zombie vs corrupted angel and the like is way out of whack). But Season 1 is pretty much a live pilot for those things and I expect it will get iteratively better with each patch and season.

That's the primary reason I'm doing this to be honest. The genesis of the idea came from getting Paragon levels onto my Seasonal DH very quickly. I'm far beyond needing the gold at this point, but at the % find and the amount that is dropping, I'm getting a significant percentage boost of xp for each T6 rift run. I know I've gained more than 2.5 billion bonus xp this way already and it keeps rolling in.

Even if you get past 38, around GR40 you'll need unity plus ~12 mill toughness or Cameo amulet to not get one-shot by jailer. As to rift progression, it is definitely RNG dependent and often a zombie rift + a conduit pylon have more to do with getting the next level rift complete than anything else.

posted a message on Fastest/Easiest Goblin Farming?
I just spam ran Core of Arreat -- somewhere between 20-30% chance for a goblin in my runs but each run is less than a minute because it's one linear stretch to search so you can jam out a lot or runs quickly. I was incredibly unlucky until then but brute force got the thing to spawn. Once you get it once, you don't ever really need it again - the gem is the gift that keeps on giving.

It's good for speed running T6 normal rifts -- gold keeps you moving fast as well (secondary part of hoarder gem) and belt keeps me pretty much invulnerable even without Unity or the like. Also, trash mobs don't disappear when rift guardian pops (as with greater rifts) so I just drag the guardian to more mobs/packs if I need to. Earlier today, I was playing billy goat with the Butcher - he starts to charge at me and instead of dodging I just yelled, "Come at me, Bro!"

Only bad part is you get used to being invulnerable and then the stack drops off while you dance on top of lasers or something but yeah it's fun. Separately, really regretting all those Avarice Bands I sharded. I have ferrets and the Raven from the bow running around picking up gold but lately I think they've stopped trying. They just keep giving me this "dude, you can't be serious . . ." look.

So I've been messing around with a rank 37 Boon of the Hoarder (80.5% gold explosion) / Gold Wrap (for the armor) / Custerian Wristguards (for the xp) + alot of gold find (9,794% in T6). It looks like 14,014,760 is the max armor you can get (i.e. I kept picking up gold but toughness stopped going up because armor stopped going up). 14,014,760 seems like a strange number to cap at but it definitely hard stopped there on two different tests even though I kept picking up gold. Maybe someone else can figure why that would be mathematically significant -- I just like that I found the max :D

    They are all blackthorn!
Heh, that is the only set I've found as well in terms of item drop (not plan drop). I haven't seen a single piece of the crusader set . . . that said, I took lemons and made lemonade. With Ring of Royal Grandeur, I turned my 3-pc Blackthorne's into a 4-pc bonus and then farmed plans/crafted set mats for Born's and Aughild's. In my experience, the blacksmith plans and mats are far more easily farmed and you can keep making them until you get a piece you can work with. Anyway, I now simultaneously benefit from 2 x 3-pc set bonuses and 1 x 4-pc set bonus. Get creative and strategize with what does drop. I'm easily farming T3 with +56% damage to elites from set and ring bonuses and tons of mitigation against elites + immunity to certain elite effects. I can farm T4-6 but damage isn't where it needs to be to make it efficient - in the mean time farming T3 is good fun and I'm sure the set pieces will eventually come.

Why did you have an 1-Hand weapon, and skill Heavenly Strength ??
Interesting, hadn't noticed the online profile was displaying it that way before. Anyway, it is an armory profile bug. In game, Blackguard is a 2-hand weapon.

Separately, glad you are enjoying the build, Ruskor. I'm still having a blast with it as well - scaling well as the gear goes up and also managed to fit in some items that amp Condemn, Falling Sword, Justice, and Fist of Heavens damage. Haven't been able to get items that have allowed me to work in +Lightning and/or +Holy but aiming for them.

Built a quick video of a Nephalem Rift run in this spec - no frills or editing - just raw game footage and audio -- but good 1080p HD encoding. Actually was a good rift to show because there were a lot of ranged type elite packs that would give a more melee/position oriented Crusader difficulty. Also, has a fairly cool version of Act III keymaster as the Rift Guardian - very cool ground effects and abilities.

Just sharing the build as I've been having a blast in T1 with it and it's not really dependent on any specific legendary. Main gist of it is playing with Condemn (Vacuum), Fist of the Heavens (Tempest), and Heaven's Fury (Ascendancy) to pull mobs into a pit of stacked AoE damage. The primary Wrath builder is Justice (Burst) for more AoE as well as stun and the ability to range hit while avoiding ground effects or just deal with elites that like to scatter to range. Also have Falling Sword (Part the Clouds) for more burst, more stun, and a get of jail free card if surrounded or otherwise stuck in a spot I don't want to be.

The last skill to fill out the spec is Akarat's Champion (Rally) which I pop on champ packs or other things that merit it (Rift bosses, etc.) Rally can reset Condemn, Heaven's Fury, and Falling Sword very quickly for some quick repeat burst on tougher packs.

All-in-all, it makes for a build very flexible on positioning - while I burst and cluster mobs with Condemn - I can easily stay at range when necessary and still do very nice output. My only gripe is Heavenly Strength restricting max movement speed to 10% but the damage range of Blackguard is simply too good to pass up.

Although the spec isn't reliant on any one legendary, I will say that between my sword and shield, I have really enjoyed the combined 53% reduction in control impairing effects. Very nice if you do get frosted, stunned or the like - you are out quickly. Also, the high 31% block percentage on shield makes a passive like Divine Fortress pay very large dividends. Overall stats aren't showing right in profile for whatever reason - some of the enchants where I flipped attack speed to crit aren't showing, etc. but in-game damage is ~615k and Toughness ~12.1m. I also have another yellow crit shield that is less defensive but can push me to ~670k damage or so and only drops toughness to ~10.9m or so which is still very survivable. Honestly, I can and have jumped up Torment levels without feeling survivability be an issue - T1 feels better for pace of killing right now and is working very well to farm legendaries/set pieces so I can get my damage up and raise torment levels.

I may throw up a vid at some point but right now I've been enjoying playing too much to stop and edit :D

T3 or T6 isn't exactly the criteria . . . in fact, I would argue that killing this many mobs in T3 this quickly is highly likely to be more effective (legendary/xp/hr) than farming T6 with toads issue that started this thread. Toads were good for knocking down elite packs / bosses quickly but nowhere near as efficient as this in mass pack farming.

Add to this that it is essentially mindless 1-button spamming . . . I'm quite certain if whirlwind barbs or homing, double-exploding toads aren't within the game design Blizzard is looking to promote, this 1-button 50 yd damage/heal spam won't be either.
