What Diablo needs is some fresh wind. about a year ago some creative community members had some really good ideas. Basically they introduced 2 more game modes, one being a kind of king-of-the-hill, much like the bounty in ruins of sescheron but a lot bigger and more entertaining. Another introduced a "protect the altar as long as you can" with multiple spawn points, coming online one by one the longer the event goes.

Unfortunately, from a company and legal standpoint, they'd likely have to give financial and creative credit to whomever had the idea. Since the idea was so widespread (because they were great ideas) they couldn't just take the idea and run with it without a potential legal backlash.

That's why it pains me to see these things hit the dfans front page. Because some asshole in their legal department has to say "Nope, could cause us to get sued." It's a sad state in today's world is in where everyone is so sue-happy that it impedes what game companies could do with their products. Not that this is the only reason, but it is likely a part of their decision making process.

With their move to micro-transactions, I don't see as long of shelf-lives of games as we have before. Expect to see 1-year games as we have with the CoD franchise, multi-year "expansions" to games like hearthstone, and expect Overwatch to be riddled with "Unlock this hero for 9.99!"

    Edit: paragraph spacing.

The portal cows can spawn in any act. Unsure if there are multiple or just one. Act 1 is just the "easiest" for public games. Join for bounties and hope people run across one.

So in 21 runs of act 1 bounties, I only found one cow level (super-low sample-size, and very RNG-based). It was after all bounties were done and I zoned into a non-bounty act 1 area.

Pretty disappointed with this event. The XP inside isn't buffed and even with the ~10 Resilient chests, farming rifts is more efficient from what I've experienced. I'll try for a couple more but looking for a random mob anywhere in the world just to go into an area that's not too special (other than the fact it's different, and this game needs more different) is hardly worth the effort.

Love that Lost Ark gameplay though. Excited to see how it progresses.

I have said and believed for a long while now that these buffs do not happen often enough. Sure, they skew the leaderboards - but for the last two seasons the boards have been overrun with exploiters. It's unfortunate that these only happen every 6 months or so when they have the ability to happen much more frequently and they change up the game so drastically while they're active. The leaderboards are there less for us, and more for them taking the information gathered by the top contenders to balance and make future changes to classes/specs/builds/items/etc.

posted a message on Leech gear is a disease in this game .

I don't mind support characters at all. Their role in GR's is pretty amazing - you should give them a chance before getting so frustrated.

What I do mind is going into a t6 or GR game and having a(n) <plv100 in yellows and half gem slots empty join in and I have to wait 5 minutes to kick them in hopes that another one doesn't immediately join. I compare this guy to the dickheads who cut in line who honestly don't understand why everyone hates them.

I absolutely get that you "gotta start somewhere" but when did it become okay to do it on the backs of others with the "lol it's only t6" attitude? I don't think you have to be decked in ancients, but at bare minimum try and be a step up from "useless leeching turd". This is my biggest gripe about seasons because there's just an absurd ratio of leechers to players in every season compared to the much smaller ratio of non-seasonal folks in the same categories. With no way of efficiently removing them it just promotes terribly unnecessary behavior such as: Split farming and rushing ahead in hopes they get left behind, leaving/joining games until you get a satisfactory group, intentionally skipping an entire floor and killing the RG by yourself and speed closing so they waste keys and get no loot (I do this when the group refuses to kick and I've already started a rift)

Why all I see is: "I dont have ancient furnance" QQ "I still dont have my ancient furnance" QQ... and so on? Seasons are fine, this is rng game, you are playing one hand bandit, nothing more... I moved from PL 220 to 410, I never had single ancient usable drop till recent, so my god damn whole armor set is nonacient... do I qq because of it everywhere I go, nope, why everyone else have such a need to, its rng, it suck, change game maybe?

Maybe you read with an accent.

posted a message on Micro Transactions Coming - Commentary

I personally have an issue with the Asias being able to buy more stash space, when the rest of us suffer from a lack of space (especially non-seasonal). I'd have an issue with being given the option to buy more stash space since it isn't a "cool I have that" thing but an "I absolutely need more space because I don't have enough room to keep the things I like on all 5 classes". Knowing we need something and offering to sell it to us is a smart business move from a monetary standpoint but a poor one on a customer service standpoint. But it's Blizz. They ride a fine line as it is and almost always err on the side of money.

posted a message on Why do people do full clears on regular Rifts?

I always stay and clear if the current floor isn't garbage, or the next floor isn't garbage. I ALWAYS stay and clear the "Warden" jail maps because I seem to always find more legendaries there.

Anyways, I do either. I ran with someone earlier who only cleared elites and gobs and the guardian all the way to the bottom. Seemed to be just as effective as clearing everything and closing in the same amount of time. Kinda broke it up a bit for me.

Well I have to give the OP props for putting this out there and scaring the bejeezus out of me with what people can find out about you on the internet. However, bear in mind that not everyone resolves these issues passively. Should something happen to this guy, you'd be surprised what law enforcement can do to you - within the law or not. There are people who would quite literally murder someone for interrupting their play. Ever see a hardcore raider get DC'd on raid night on the only boss they need? I have. It's not pretty.

This dick'll get what's coming to him. Send this info to the cybercrimes division of the FBI. Call the local PD. Call the local cable companies. Hate to see you get banned for outing this douche. Good work, Robin Hood.

    Updated gear.

My survivability is about where I think it should be. I am now at a brick wall of upgrading my DPS without losing too much survivability. I don't feel my tornadoes are doing enough damage (around 20-24k crits). Things just don't seem to be dropping as fast as I'd like them to.

Suggestions for my current gear to bump up DPS?

My apologies, my gear must have not updated yet.

411% crit damage (sheet total). 50% crit chance with axe passive. 58k unbuffed DPS.

30k life seems to be my issue, yet I can't seem to find any affordable ways to upgrade my survivability without losing a ton of damage. I feel like I'm pretty much stuck. I'm also having a hard time keeping up WotB but I feel like that will come with gear.
