People already forgot that blizzard did state that crits with secondary dmg will apply extra effects. IE cold weapons will freeze targets, fire will cause a DoT. Yes we did not see the secondary effects in the beta but this does not mean it wont be in release. Unless blizzard stated that they removed it and I missed that post, it will just be a wait and see!!!
Psst Psst. Stay awhile and listen. Yes they have all sorts of sinks in diablo which is needed. But the most important thing in my mind is that blizzard doesnt care how much is out there because as Jay said People play diablo to be the most fucking uber character ever. Thats why they are not going to try and balance pvp at all. They want you to be fucking badass in PvE and PvP. So lets the fucking demon rocking, zombie massacring, and creature killing begin.... ITS GAME TIME!!!!
I just realized in inferno with jailer, health link, avenger, and waller traits on a champion will be Fing crazy. Also Jay did say there are no combinations of traits that are not allowed. so get ready for the Shit show haha
BTW Jay said that the newest gear you get that is considered better doesnt mean its better for your character. This tracking system makes no sense!! on top of that being number 1 ranked for gear in D3 is like being ranked 1 in Pro Darts. Only few people care and those that do compete really dont amount to anything!! (BTW inb4 who are you to talk... I am a Chemist)
Guess its my two cents time. People are like no problem i can move around/kite/trap/etc when ranged. But they did not listen to Jay interview were he basically stated that kiting/trapping/etc does not work in inferno and that one small slip up can easily mean death in inferno... honestly inferno scares me no matter what class i will play, but honestly the strongest i feel for inferno will be the barbarian because he is designed to take the punishment.
We have a lot of end game builds people are talking about. I figure this might be good thread to talk about lvl 30 and under builds. Ideas and thoughts on what might be good and why.
The build i put here is what i might do when leveling past 30 to around 40-45 area. Its based off that idea of surviving in large group while also giving good dmg output for large number of mobs.
The second build i feel would be good for slam down single targets like at the end bosses. when lots of single target dmg is needed. I know people will talk about skill switching but I am talking about switching skills when you know a boss is coming and you have the time to do it. Not on the fly skill switching. At this point i know in a matter of a couple of weeks i will be playing all classes. But first class is going to be dependent on my friends.... I will play anything so i figure i will let them choose first and then i will choose.
I love how people say the skeleton king has attack patterns... In beta I saw the skeleton king summon skeletons constantly and very rarely teleport. Then other times I saw him teleporting like a fiend and rarely summon skeletons. So if you consider seeing his abilities done as an attack pattern then omg regular mobs have an attack pattern...
Attack patterns are he summons skeletons, then teleports, then swings with his triple attack, then repeat. thats an attack pattern!! so personally i dont see bosses having attack patterns, I see them using the abilities what it suits them as Jay stated they will get harder because they will use their abilities in a more deadly way (ie Trap and focus, or summon to not allow escape)
