posted a message on Why did Blizz ruin Diablo by limiting it to 4 players per game?
To the troll with the wall of text: I live in ecuador, south america. Even wih our crappy ISPs i have internet connection 24/7 and play without lag.
So if i can play D3 almost everybody can.

To the OP as 4 player per game is to low is you argument, yours is the burden of proof. You didn't do that in your original post, thats why this can be considered trolling. (and the reasns you subsequentally gave us were just opinions, which are not a good argument against blizzard's four player cap arguments.

posted a message on Dumbed down in the name of ease of use
    Quote from Shmark

I don't know why they changed the current UI from the old one, where it had all of your skills laid out. Another thing that I don't care for about the current UI is how it takes up the entire screen, and not just one side of the screen in Diablo fashion, but I'm guessing that this was done to further discourage players from switching skills in battle.

it feels kind of annoying ut it serves a specific gaming purpose: Picking your skills should no let you fight or be aware of the combat. its part of the game design blizzard chose to give us.

As for the dumbed down and reduced choices in skills, it all boils down to two psychological and philosophical concepts: the illusion of choice and paradox of choice.

illusion of choice is when it appears that we are given a choicee (or many choices in this case) when we haven't (or only recived a few). In d2 it appeared we had 30 skills to choose from, but most of them werent any good and you end up picking only a few. The attribute system worked the same way: it appeared we could chose our attrbutes, but in reality we required to meet item atribute requirement and buff vitality.

Paradox of choice in the other hand is the tendecy of humans to believe that having lots of choices is better when in truth it reduces the quality of the expirience. That way fast food restaurants give us combos instead of having us pick each part of the meal.

So maybe some of you will actually enjoy less the game that the average person (and this not means every gamer will) and some of you will believe that you would enjoy the game more if you would have more choices (which will really reduce the quality of the gaming experience, due to personal subjective factor instead of a external game design factor), but the mayority of players (including most hardcore players) will enjoy the game more with reduced, more meaningful, non permanent choices.

posted a message on Possibility of Transmog?
All i know is i would rather have my barb in a barbaric looking armor than running around in demon cosplay. And thats why i think transmog would be a good option for diablo 3.
