So... its just the new tier, above the highest current one thats changing right? Not all Ruby's?

(If so... OMG... so lame Blizzard. Seriously... where do you come up with this shit? Its almost like they are intentionally trying to make people angry with pretend improvements and add-ons)

    Quote from Crashhh1

This diablo 3 doesn't know what it wants to be.. does it want to be a casual 5 minute game, or does it want to appeal to more serious gamers? Does it want to be a trading game, or be replace those items with BoA

Much as I hate the haters and think people should simply stop playing games they don't enjoy and go play something thats fun (after all... its just a fucking computer game), I have to sympathise with this point.

Just like everyone else, I bought D3 because of D2. IMO D3 falls very short of what made D2 what it was.

Personally, I think that due to the success of D2, the numerous powers that be, all had different ideas on how to cash in on this, and all wanted a piece of the pie. D3 is clearly not an individuals, or a teams vision for a great game, that much is clearly evident. D3 wreaks of money grubbing, pure and simple.

posted a message on New patch, major let down.
All the patches in the world wont actually change the fundamentals of D3, which IMO are not even vaqually comparable to D2 and LBH, D2 is the reason we all bought D3 in the first place.

After all, (hyperthetcially), unless Blizzaard say somthing like "..We totally fucked things up and are going back to what worked in D2"... how sales will D4 see? Not near as much as D3 did from the success of D2 I would guess.

Dont get me wrong, I've hade plenty of fun with it and figure I've got my $70 worth, but I'm slowly but surely getting very bored with it and sure as hell wont be playing it for years like I did with D2.

I wont go into the reasons why as they've all been said before, but in a nutshell D3 is a 6-12 month quick hack and slash game. Nothing more or less. Expecting it to become something it isnt (Diablo 2.5?) will only lead to disapointment.

    Look awesome.

Having your Barbarian actually LOOK like a mean ass Barbarian helps too.

So much of the gear in D3 looks like rubbish and takes away the badassness of characters. I'm looking at you, ridiculous, styrofoam, prop shoulder pieces.

    Thanks for the feedback all.

Would be ace if you could get them to tank for you, add LoH, Bleed etc.

Regardless, I'm still running with them. Still grinding to 60, on level 53 atm @ Hell(5) and can still afford to have them in that slot for now.

Just curious, do you guys think the Ferrets do 38% Physical EACH?

    Hey all.

So I've left DH till last (for whatever reason) and thanks to trusty Reduced Level Requirement, I'm doing more than enough damage heading into 60.

With that said, I've been running with Companion and I just unlocked the Ferret Companion, which I selected to save some time and get some extra gold since I don't need any other buffs.

Anyway, I just noticed the cute little buggers also attack!, which totally surprised me since I thought the attack was forfeit from the GF and collection boost.

With the DPS I'm running at early 50s they roughly 4 hit regulars. which I think is just hilarious.

I think they're cool and wondering if LoH, Bleed, Thorns etc works on these guys. Does anyone know?

With my Templar tanking for me, I have 3x pets getting into it for me (solo of course) while I dish out the DPS.

Thanks in advance for any feedback. :Thumbs Up:

Oh... so there are people NOT playing WW Barb? Awesome!

I've just finished Inferno with my Monk and looking to take my Barb through now.

My Barb stopped around A2 last time (pre 105) and I had come here to look into the WW which I haven't even tried yet since it didn't interest me for whatever reason.

Good to know WW is not the only option, I really didn't want to turn him into one. This is good incentive to look at other ideas.

posted a message on Two questions for players who vocally dislike the AH
    2cents.

First up, I'll say I've used the AH for both buying and selling. I dont bother trying to sell anything anymore, since I quite simply cant be bothered. I'd rather just be playing the game than spend time price checking and keeping an eye on the AH.

I dont actually like the AH though becuase to me, its just thrown the balance and enjoyment of the game completely of the rails.

1 - Buying stuff isnt really rewarding. Its great to improve your character and win a bid, but finding an awesome item after taking down an Elite pack or Boss was kind of the point if playing Diablo (for me anyway). This leads to..

2 - Not using the AH, seems like an easy solution to the 'reward' feeling being lost from actually fiding gear in game, but honestly, I wouldnt be playing D3 anymore without the AH. If I relied on drops I would have to keep playing either Hell/Hell or A1 Inferno over, and over and over again until something decent droped and enabled my character to proceed further. D3 just isnt that entertaining and most stuff that drops is rubbish and theres not much else to do in D3. Blacksmithing anyone?

3 - Once you've made it too Inferno with your 1st character, you will likely have enough Gold to buy gear for every other character you decide to play up to 60 with ubber gear, effectiviely activating 'God Mode'. Again, you could argue to simply not use the AH, but I know its there. I know that almost EVERYTHING that drops is TOTAL RUBBISH compared to what I can find on the AH for a few Gold in a matter of minutes.

So with all that said, although the AH itself is cool, it has done way more harm than good to Diablo.

posted a message on Monks seem kinda boring compared to other classes?
Yeh... although some tweeks to certains skills (mainly the ones that knockback) would open up some more options, I think the Monk class is meant to be like this simply due to the nature of the way the class is designed.

Of all my guys, he feels the safest of them all. He survives better and is the easiest to play due to most of skills being buffs, damage mitigation or healing of some kind, that are either 'always on', or simply used at certain times in a fight.

He certainly doesnt have as many visual/flashly skills like the others.

I find I have to closely watch HPs, Spirit and CD's to play him effectively, but its certianly less panicky in harder fights than the other classes.

    Yeh.... I have 3x Level 60s (pg 9, 2 & 1) 1x Level 50 & 1x Level 35. I have a MF&GF suit for one of my 60s and been farming A1 & A2 with another.

Ive been playing most evenings (work & family) and every weekend since release and so far found 3x Legendarys & 1x Set all mostly useless.

Im still playing but can feel my interest fading from lack of decent or interesting gear .

    Quote from Indimix

Right now, the game is designed for ppl who use the AH, 24/7. That has to change. Blizz needs to provides non-AH users a way to get good drops more often without the necesity of using the AH to make a "progress".

For 20k gold in the AH you can get a 1200dps blue/rare, do you know when was the last time I saw a 1200dps item droped in the groud?, never. Do you know how much time it takes to my WD to get 20k gold in act 1 inferno?, 5-10 mins.

So, stop saying that the old trade system in D2 is the same that the AH, its not, no even close.

Yep... exactly mate. You got it.

Diablo is supposed to be a Loot 'Grind & Find' game. Except D3 is broken in the sense that its a 'Grind and Buy' game.

I used to get so excited about identifying items. Now I get excited when I see piles of gold of the ground. Its just not the same.

Well.... its been a while since I played it, but I did play it for a long time and aside from there being a lot more to do (Rune Words) I remember finding Set Items, none of which would I ever consider selling.

How many HRs did you have drop for you in your entire time playing? How many Zods? Lol. People complaining about shitty drop rates in D3 don't know the meaning of "shitty drop rate"! And your MF didn't even affect your rune drop rate.

But w/e right because everyone had heaps of perfect runewords thanks to all the dupes.

    Quote from axeman87
I also remember Legendaries/Set items being pretty awesome and the thing you would grind for to find. I found one the other day and it was utter rubbish. It would have been great on a level 25.

You found a Legendary (guess you mean Unique)/Set item and it would've been great on a level 25? Are you talking about D3 or D2 there? Because that happened literally all the goddamn time in D2 :P

Oh... I dont know how many hours I played, it was on & off for about 5 years or so. I forgot all about the Dupes though haha... I was guilty of that for sure.

I dont remember getting crap Unique/Legendary/Set items, but maybe they were. D2 was never the only game I played and I've been playing games for 30 years now. I remember the worst thing about Unique being that they would drop for the wrong character and how much I wished for a shared Stash.

I'm sorry, are you remembering a different diablo 2 where good uniques dropped all the time? Because the one I played had super low level uniques drop every couple minutes and they were all worthless.

I'm also not gettin what you want here. You state you know that the item hunt is what players do after 'beating' the game, and you state that you don't see yourself playing D3 for years and years. Yet you want higher drops rates, which would just cut the games life shorter.

Increasing drop rates will make the game shorter, only for those that are prepared to play it endlessly with nothing to show.

For those of us that want something to show after 50 hours of farming but get nothing, will simply move onto other games. This will shorten the life span of D3 down to about 12 months. If the drops were increased and farming yielded some results said players might be happy to continue playing for a couple of years.
