Thats the whole point of what people are saying. He does this to make money. You said it yourself. He doesnt do it for free he does it to pay the bills so of course its about the money. No money means no "Living Comfortably".

We just received info from diablofans that monsters in inferno will deal 28k damage.So to counter that i created this combination of generators.This contains the wotf and deadly reach.The second strike of wotf hits 7 times and the third strike of deadly reach hits 6 times.The first strike is nothing special,so you can add a third generator with a rune that favors the first strike,or you may use the first hit of wotf,since it deals 140% weapon damage.The main idea of this combo is to take advantage of +to life on hit procs.

We know that weapons in diablo 2 had up to 6 sockets,and in diablo 3 we can add our own sockets to a weapon if it is not already socketed.So lets say we socket a weapon with 6 of these:-

Then we have 3600 life per hit.

And if d3inferno.com can be trusted,then we get +life on hit mods from items too.
The values:-
Weapon- +2 to +959
Amulet- +2 to +959
Offhand- +2 to +959
Ring- +1 to +479(And we can equip 2 rings)
Armor- +1 to +94(And we have 8 kinds of armor:-Boots,Bracers,Gloves,Pants,Shoulders,Chest armor,Belt,Helms/Spirit stones)

So if all that is taken into consideration,we get 8187 life per hit.

And in the combo i have given,
First hit:- 1st hit of any generator you like or wotf(due to 140% dmg)
Damage:-Lets assume you have taken something other than wotf so dmg will be 110%.

Second hit:-Way of the hundred fists to be used for getting seven hits,each dealing 20% damage.
Damage:-140%

Third hit:-Deadly Reach with scattered blows rune to get six hits.
Damage:-175% as lightning

So after you are done,you will have hit 14 times and dealt 425% weapon damage.

So if you get 8187 life per hit,you will have got yourselves 114618 life.
And if you used the rune on wotf that increases the number of hits from 7 to 10,then you would have hit 17 times and got yourselves 139179 life.

And you know what?In inferno,monsters will have cc reduction and leach resistance.So if you equip yourselves with those gear,you will not get much life,but if you equip yourselves with this,then you will suffer no penalties.

But i always like to assume the worst of the worst,like i wont get the gear,or d3inferno.com has posted fake values,so i will assume that the max amount of life that can be gained from gear will be 2000.So with this combo i will only get 28000 life.But that's fine by me,because if inferno monsters deal 28 k dmg,i will be healing for that amount every 3 seconds,and if someone wants to act smart and remind me that monsters may deal more damage,i will remind the so-called smart guy that we have not taken things like armor,dodge,etc into consideration.

And if you think the 8187 value is unrealistic and d3inferno.com may not have the right info after all,well then you think just like me,and thats why i am assuming that we will get only 2000,not 8187.

Oh and another question:-Is there any mod called "+to spirit per hit" on items?

What to do:-
1.Go in search of baddies with the wd.
2.As soon as the enemy is spotted,use sentry which will last for 80 seconds.
3.Call your wolf companion.
4.Use rain of vengeance and empty your hatred globe by using rapid fire.
5.Use evasive fire to gain 12 hatred after every 3 shots,and then use frost arrow which costs 10 hatred to freeze enemies in a cone.
6.Repeat step number 5 until all enemies are dead.In case any enemy comes close,you will backflip using evasive fire which will now cost only 2 discipline and give you a movement speed bonus for 2 seconds.
7.Wait for all cooldowns to be over and start looking for the next bunch of enemies.

Passives were really chosen in a hurry,so never mind.

What to do:-
1.Call down zombie dogs and the gargantuan.
2.Spot the enemy,and use mass confusion.
3.After the effect of mass confusion is over,use zombie wall to stop the enemies who will now waste no time charging you.
4.Now you have 4 skills on cooldown,so vision quest will be active.
5.Use locust swarm on different targets until only one-fourth of your mana remains.
6.Wait for 2-3 seconds for mana regen with vision quest which will regen your mana real quick.
7.Spam firebats which will seek out targets and hence help in spreading locust swarm.Locust swarm is runed for pestilence which makes it jump to 2 enemies instead of one so you will be spreading a lot of locusts.
8.If zombie wall,which has the lowest cd becomes active again,you will lose the vision quest benefit so use zombie wall again.
9.Wait till all cooldowns are over and start looking for the next bunch of enemies.

Again the passives were chosen in a hurry.

These are certainly not the best builds as they were created in a hurry

Ive heard the exact same thing on the blizzcon before release, on the making of DVD and on several interviews before launch.
This Game is seriously going nowhere. In order to make Itemization meaningful they would have to drop focusing Mainstats. They would have to drop weapon damage related Abilitys. In short they would have to turn this game 180 degrees around. They will not do this. Instead we will get the same old in a new dress.

Some little time ago we could buy the soundtrack for Diablo 3, that was included in the Collectors Edition.
Now, the wings and bottles smoke / cloud are also availible outside the C.E.

My C.E. feels way more less C.E. now

Blizzard doing what Blizzard does best: Writing dev blogs and getting people excited 6 months before the actual thing they talked about is released.

I know what hotfixes are, I meant deploying things like the id-all feature and stuff like that. Instead of waiting months to bundle it all together for no real reason.

The changes so far were good, but.. damn, why do they take so much time to implement little things... god damn.

I hope this new GD can speed up the process, or at least, start delivering hot-fixes now and then, instead of waiting an eternity to have... not that much.

Hehe, my choice was Paladin as well. I would enjoy the hammer again. Yes, it is pretty OP in D2 but I really liked the mechanic of it.

Shaggy, if you need an entire build set along with the proper items to make them somehow useful, then they are weak.

This thread is not about balancing them, that would belong to the balance class/suggestions forum, is there is one, I can't remember.

This is more a thread that makes a comparison of two different concepts of how to implement minions, and how awesome was back then and how terrible is here.

Sure, the skellies weren't perfect, they had issues too, but they could be REALLY helpful, they only became somewhat useless in later acts in hell, (useless in terms of output damage) but I only needed one dead body, then CE took care of everything in the screen.

Blizz wont change the way minions and pets work, they want them like that, it shows also in how they implemented the followers. They want YOU to make damage, and they to be cosmetic things. It was a bad idea IMO.

I find it hilarious that they celebrate the games first year live, and at the same time talk about security issues and AH exploits. That's something they should have been done with 1 month into the game. Also, I really thought we'd have some kind of random dungeon generator or custom maps by now. Maybe some kind of survival mode or a few more uberbosses.

Nono, it's all about "finding players near you" and "now you can have a message next to your name to broadcast to all your friends". Stop making this game into facebook and give us some content
