Ok from what I read on other sites, it seemed like found items/armor were strictly aesthetic and didn't lend to any stat enhancements. Thanks for the info on PvE.
What's the point of PvE in GW2? I'm reading that at level 2 you can enter PvP and auto scale to level 80 with all the gear you need? Is there any advantage of items or armor found in PvE?
What happened to ultra elitist days of DAOC? After all the killing you are doing in PvP are you getting any stronger or other abilities to give you an edge over someone who just pops in?
If you're having trouble killing things past Act 1, then just farm in Act 1 until you get enough money to buy better gear. Farming gear to sell can be a grind, but eventually you will get lucky and get a nice roll on an item that will sell for multiple millions.
Make sure you are building for both damage and survivablity.
I recommend roughly 40-50k hp. At least 17k damage (prioritize critical chance and critical damage followed by IAS). At least 600 resists via OWE stacking. A solid LoH 1h and a shield with a high block% and block value w/ +crit chance. 6500+ armor.
Once you have some variation of the above stats you should be able to breeze though Act 2 and a large portion of Act 3/4. The harder packs in Act 3/4 will likely require higher resists and damage.
This is what it seems like everyone is saying, but damn, it must take forever to get gear like that. I think my resits are in the 200's if I'm lucky. About 14k DPS with buffs and 32k HP.
Like most people I'm reading through the threads looking at people struggling who have 5x better gear than me. So what are you farming over and over to afford this stuff?
I just started Act2/Inferno and getting my butt handed to me. Should I keep farming the imprisoned angel run back in Act 1?
Seems like the new patch even nerfed good farming capabilities with the costs of repairs...
This is a great list, but honestly I can't survive Act 2 and beyond without lashing tail kick to keep mobs off me and getting a burst of heal using transendance.
Maybe I just don't have good enough gear right now, but just find it hard to farm for good stuff when you can't survive the acts!
I must say I'm really liking my DH now. At the 15-20 levels I thought I was going to really dislike the class, now I'm powering through everything. DPS is anywhere between 515-560 with dual 1H's. I'm 30 in the last chapter, I believe the next fight will be Diablo. I'm not really racing through the game.
What do you think of this build so far? Seems pretty powerful so far!
I haven't bought the 1080p monitor yet, still have a Dell 22" 1680x1050 so I will have to see how it does. Might stick with this monitor for a while, now that I'm using again, I don't mind it
Got all my parts in for the "new" setup. went with the new Ivy Bridge 3.4ghz i5 and an ASRock Z77Pro-4 mobo w/ 8GB of Ram. Sticking with my older 9800GT for now to see how it looks when I get D3 installed. Will look at cards after that if I don't think it performs well enough.

Still haven't found a game to scratch the DAOC RvR itch I've had for years.
