I've recently completed the full Roland's set and want to try and make it work in facerolling t6 (not really interested in pushing higher grfits using this set). At the moment I can clear t5 pretty reliably, but am running into damage and survivability problems in t6. Can clear it, but in no way efficiently.
Can anyone who has t6 experience with this set possibly provide some insight into my character to see what I can improve: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/Reclaim-6743/hero/52743925
I realise I need a SoJ, as well as lv 25+ gems (planning on using BotP, Gogok and Pain enhancer, I don't think this build procs BotT?) It would also be good to have a better weapon, either Heart Slaughter or Furnace. Anything else glaringly obvious that I can improve?
(also as a side note, I don't personally find the 6 piece worth using, all it really does it cause wrath issues for me!)
Cheers!

Was using explosive toads, but changed to addling for the cc. Toads doesn't do much damage anyway, so not missing out on much.

I agree. With the way that AH is saturated with top tier gear from Act III - Act IV inferno at the moment, I think it would be unwise to release the RMAH.
I'm assuming that they want to wait to see how Inferno progress (and as such the availability of items) plans out over the coming weeks/months before releasing, so that the gold Auction House economy has time to settle.

It takes advantage of hydra pools stacking on mobs stuck in frost nova, however in my opinion it's not worth using a passive slot for it. Instead I would go for either Astral Presence or Blur.

To me it felt like if I was holding down my mouse to move, sometimes tele would randomly go off either moving me backwards or in the same position, and reset my cooldown.

I can imagine that Frost Nova is better for getting an extra couple of seconds of Hydra stack, however Teleport is really good if you get caught in a position where you run out of kiting room, you can double tele back through the group and kite in the other direction.

To clarify, this means that it's possible to have a much less optimal setup, but still be viable?
I currently have about 13k hp, and about 1000 regen, and don't have the money to optimise everything better at the moment.
I'm currently face-rolling Act I. I'm assuming it just requires more kiting?

1. How much life regen do you need to make this effective?
2. Generally, how many items will you need to reach this amount of regen?

Agree with this as well. I found it extremely situational in Inferno. Currently going through Act II, and I've just made the switch from Archon to Teleport (dropped Evocation for Illusionist).
With Illusionist, Teleport is pretty much reset every time you get hit allowing you to kite with Venom Hydra.

Stark Winter blizzard, and Venom Hydra are amazing.

Ok, I agree that I am probably overreacting. I guess the point that I'm trying to make is not the super IWIN build that everyone who has no experience in inferno is making it out to be (due to a couple of high exposure kills)
It is situational at best, and I don't think that up coming wizards should be counting on it to carry them through inferno.

Could you please provide a rough estimate of you stats? I'm working my way through Act II, and want to gauge my readiness for this encounter.
Post the detailed view of your stats via a screen shot if possible.
Thanks
Also congratulations!

I'm getting really pissed off about this.
Everyone has seen one Wizard use a VERY specific build to kill Diablo, without even understanding how the build works. People are just taking the 'low health + high regen + force armor' build at face value, and it's creating a huge misconception.
So that it's clear. THIS BUILD IS WORTHLESS FOR ANY FORM OF FARMING, OR CHAMPION PACKS. YOU WILL DIE INSTANTLY.
