Again, take a moment to analyze the situation before responding. *500k elite kills*. Did you get that number? 500,000. Oh, and never beat act I inferno on the DH who got most of them. So what, your rationale is that this guy plays something like ~16 hours /day farming gold in hell difficulty? You really think that's a reasonable conclusion?
It is obviously a bot. If that's not obvious then I don't know what is.
Sorry, but while I am not above giving someone the benefit of the doubt, I think these numbers are simply ridiculous.
96 days or more accurately 2324 hours from release date until today (give or take an hour or so)
Removing JUST 3 hours a day to sleep / misc takes away 288 hours 2036 (virtually impossible for NORMAL humans to maintain for 3 months straight) This DOES NOT account for any downtime, patches, Hotfixes, or other unscheduled maintenance reasons.
The numbers shown below show the amount per hour with 0 hours removed since launch/ subtracting 3 per hour as shown above.
417851 Elite kills - 179.8 per hour / 205 per hour
5754066 Total kills - 2476 per hour / 2854 per hour
Every day for 21 hours a day. More time off makes the numbers go up much more.
Yeah, maintaining that for 3 months straight without stopping is easy as pie.
For the record, I am not comparing this to myself or anyone else, merely stating that these numbers are virtually unattainable for 99 percent of HUMAN players.

I'm so glad you're not in charge of making these decisions...
There is no problem, you have invented one. No matter what you say, you still don't understand why IAS was nerfed. Yes, it was indirectly because of the damage that was possible, but the reason is because IAS was very well suited to only a few skills/builds, and they wanted more diversity. Crit is not limiting diversity, it is not a problem, go away.

Did you guys read the post and then pause to think for a moment? It's not speculative. Blizz has clearly stated that a perfectly rolled rare will still be the best piece of gear you can find after the buff. The OP is saying that it would be better if legendaries were flat out better than rares, and that a very well rolled legendary should be better than a perfectly rolled rare.
I agree with him. Drop rates on legendaries are so low that this would be justified. I don't want the drop rate increased, I want to be pretty sure that, when a legendary drops, I have just hit the jackpot.

The fact that it is a political issue is a problem. It is no longer a purely scientific issue, so there is a lot of FUD thrown around by both sides. The fact is none of us are in any position to have an opinion on the matter (unless one of you are working on your PhD at the moment). We hear things and we latch on to them, but we don't have the education or experience to disseminate that information and judge it critically, we just accept it (and its supposed consequences) as fact.

There could certainly be other factors at play (i.e., more prone to happen when using ability X, a bug in the client and/or server, etc.), but this is usually why it occurs.

I think I'll start a thread complaining about those who complain about complainers. That should lead to some useful discussion.

Just to keep things in perspective, I am having a much better time farming Act II then I was previously, I'm playing devil's advocate here as I think your argument is irrelevant. Now, if I were farming Act III and it turns out the drop rates were nerfed... well, I probably would not be pleased.

Hell, even in recent patches they have done a piss poor job of testing. WD summons get stuck on depth changes. What? Are you seriously telling me this wouldn't be immediately obvious to anyone testing a WD before the patch went out? Bugs will always slip through, but bugs of this magnitude, which are not in any way subtle, never should. There is no excuse (I work in software development and I worked in QA for two years prior. Really, I can't imagine something like this getting through SQA).
Though I believe my comments on testing are true, I have to admit I am biased on the nerf subject. I have absolutely no problem with OP skills/stats/farm spots. I find that kind of "game breaking" gameplay incredibly fun. Also, this is not an MMO, it is an ARPG. We talk about choice in skills, farm spots, etc. Even when OP aspects remain in the game I do have a choice.
Regardless of what others may say, I had a choice in DII as well. This is not an MMO, I do not feel pressured to use/abuse OP aspects of the game to keep up with the herd. I am playing in my own way on my own time, these nerfs/balance changes make the game less fun for me, though I can completely understand if others disagree with me on this. It is of of course subjective.
I'm not sure what you mean by that. He didn't say that he hated Blizz or the game, he simply stated that the testing is sub-par and the game (in terms of stats and farming) was never "broken", which I would be inclined to agree with. Your comment is useless, you simply write of the opinions of others as stupid.

I suppose you've never played this game as that's the only way I can rationalize that response.

1. New thread is created, OP asks "Help me decide between these two builds"
2. Angst filled forum troll emerges, posts "D3 sux so hard!!! This game is crap, Blizz just wants you to use the RMAH to make $$$, they don't care and this game is garbage (and on and on and on he goes).
If you hate the game so much then fine, stop playing it. Why do you remain on the forums posting about it? I mean, how small and meaningless does your life have to be to spend so much time and effort posting vitriol about a video game you claim to hate? I don't get it.

Comparing Diablo to WoW only proves that you have no clue what you are talking about.
