    Quote from hifiboi

I've cancelled my boxing until Wednesday so I can experience launch day server delays. I have to negotiate some play time with my wife as she hates me locking myself away for hours on end :( Also, I'm a teacher so no chance of days off mid-term. But, then again, I'm an adult, I've come to "accept" that free time is not an endless commodity like it was in childhood.
Yeah, your last sentence sums it up for me as well. I had a daughter born two months ago, so I haven't even bought RoS yet, and probably won't until sometime this summer.

Also since everything is BoA I'm gonna have to farm it on all my chars I wanna play, and I wanna play them all eventually.
You can share drops between characters on the same account - items are BoA, where the A stands for account. It's true that the smart drop system makes it harder to farm for another class, but you can share items between characters, and it wasn't clear from your post if you know this.

Not atm....but i really hope there will be som difference bc its kind of lame how it works atm example is farm bags in normal and open them in torment 6.
People keep saying this, but is it confirmed to actually work? There was a big debate about it in the chat on Kongor's stream a week or two ago when he farmed about 30 bags in normal, opened them all in torment 6, and got zero legendaries.

posted a message on Before I purchase xpac - How long is the new act?

Just for the record, you do know that Act 4 was supposed to be very short, right? The D2 Act 4 was more of an epilogue or short conclusion to the original storyline rather than a full, separate act, and the developers said way back during the D3 development days that they were more or less following that plan for D3. I'm not saying Act 4 is very good, because it's not, but it was supposed to be short.

In any event, I'm also curious to hear the answer to your question.

posted a message on Speculation - Inc. In-game shop?

I would not at all mind an in-game shop for cosmetic items and other quality of life improvements, such as stash tabs, more character slots beyond the minimum required to have one of each class in each game mode, etc. I think this would be perfectly acceptable, and I would possibly be willing to spend some of my own money if the returns are worth it.

What I would not find acceptable, however, is an in-game shop selling items that are more or less required for a decent gaming experience. The exact location of that boundary is of course subjective and open to interpretation, but I hope Blizzard would tread very carefully here if they do go this route.

Guys, calm down. It's very much likely 12 base slots, and 3 extra ones for a total of 15. They wouldn't mess that shit up. Either way, there's no reason to buy it right now. We can wait some.
Yeah, until I hear otherwise I'm operating under the assumption that this is how it will be, although I see that there are many people asking for clarification on the official forums. I won't be pre-ordering for awhile anyway, considering the various bugs people are reporting with their accounts after pre-ordering the game.

$20 extra so I can have 13 slots... goody.
We get 12 slots even if we don't buy the CE, right? Please say yes.
I'm trying to confirm this one way or another before I totally lose my shit, because if I'm seriously expected to either pay an additional $20 or delete two of my characters just to try a crusader on both softcore and hardcore, I'm going to be EXTREMELY pissed off. EDIT: For those of you with beta access, how many character slots do you have?

posted a message on "Advancing" Advanced Tooltips

I don't have much to add except to echo what many others have already said: what a fantastic, simple suggestion. I would love to see this implemented.

Unfortunately, also as others have pointed out, it would probably require significant re-coding of parts of the UI, and I doubt Blizzard could ever be convinced it was a cost-effective use of time. I could be wrong, and I hope I am, but I'm not holding my breath.

posted a message on So do people here actually like the game?
    Quote from Finder

I'm about to give up on the official forums...they are more of a cesspool than usual...filled with people who hate EVERYTHING.
We still have our fair share of haters and trolls that show up here, and even many of us longtime fans of the series can be quite harsh on the game and the developers when they make poor decisions, but this site is called diablofans for a reason. I'm still playing more than 1.5 years after launch (albeit not nearly as regularly as I was back when it first launched), and I have no plans to quite anytime soon. The game is a lot of fun to play, it has improved significantly since launch, and RoS will be offer many additional improvements. This community isn't perfect, but there's a reason why I read and post here but stay far away from the official forums whenever possible.

posted a message on How to fix D3 PVP in 1 Easy Patch
    Quote from Shrunken_Head

i dont feel like a lot of ppl are understanding fully what i am trying to say

    example:
my friend has a level 60 and does 400k dmg with 100k hp and crits for 1 million
i just hit level 60 and do 1000 pathetic damage and have 16k hp
we fight each other in arena and because skill damage in pvp are based off players total hp pool% and items are negated with flat 30k hp pools the fight is 100% even
This is terrible, and removes all the incentive to go out and farm gear to make your character better at PVP. It sounds about as boring as brawling is now. I'm sorry, I give you credit for at least trying to think of a solution to the PvP problem, but your solution would not improve the game at all and stands no chance of ever being implemented.

Wonder how they missed these issues...
Well, that is the point of a beta. Some of the more obvious bugs might just be things that are on the list to fix that they haven't gotten to, but when you open the testing pool up from a few dozen (hundred?) internal testers to the entire world, you're going to quickly find tons of things that seem obvious in retrospect.

posted a message on Diablofans Re-launch Feedback Thread
Site looks great overall. I'll echo many of the minor little criticisms others have made, and add one more:

I don't think the staff gem icons are distinctive enough. Staff members don't stand out enough compared to regular members anymore. Sometimes for various reasons it's nice to be able to catch a staff post when quickly skimming through a thread, and it's much harder now.

EDIT: Also annoyed that my health globe on my profile pic turns green whenever I am online, but oh well :)
