I love it!! This is what I have been searching for. A speculation or theory because I couldn't fathom how the Archangel of Wisdom could turn into Death. Just doesn't register in me. I bought the Book of Cain and am buying the Book of Tyrael. Have always been fascinated by the Diablo universe lore.
Not sure about DH, but I was stuck in Act 2 before the bridge too. I went full dps build.
Then I gave up, went back Act 1 to farm till I read this thread from another wiz who did Arcane Hydra + Arcane Orb + Temporal Flux build. It worked like a charm, defeated Maghda and now I'm collecting Kulle's blood.
I would call that a snare build, bcoz it basically slows the enemy's movement speed which Act 2 have a lot of fast mobs.
Now I'm stuck trying to collect the 2nd Kulle's blood bcoz every freaking corner of the dungeon has elites. I think Blizz threw in like 20 packs of elites into a dungeon. Ran into a Jailer + Shielding + Waller + Molten, tried to kill but too tough, so I decided to kite them, but then meet another pack with Jailer + Fire Chain + Frozen + Teleporter. Now I have two packs hunting me down. I kept on running and f**k my life, I ran into yet another pack of elites with Vortex + Frozen + Shielding + Arcane Enchanted. GG. 1 pack with Vortex, 2 packs with Jailer, totally no escape and devastated.
I have a 812.6 1H, 53-148 off-hand, 43.5 Crit Chance, 165% Crit Dmg, 1.2 attack per second, 1.6k Intel.
With Glass Cannon passive, force weapon and sparkflint, my dps stands at 48k.
This wizard's dps is totally possible with 3.0+ attack per second.
Loving this game despite all the bug, server downs and reading other people's complain.
I'm also stuck at Inferno Act 2.. Wizard here. Can't get pass the first quest with all the leaping Lacuni Huntress which two shot me.
Two Lacuni Huntress = instant death.
Why attack speed? Do you even have time to stand around and spam your skills?
Unless you're telling me attack speed greatly increases your per skill damage which they do not.
As I observed, attack speeds only makes the numbers looks nice.
It's not killing Diablo in Hardcore Hell that impresses me. It is you guys being able to get pass all those elite mobs without death in Hardcore Hell that impresses the shit out of me! Praise you!
I've just reached Hell last night with my friend. I'm playing a Monk and he's playing a Barb.
Story bosses aren't tough compared to Elite packs.
We were in Cathedral when this bunch of Elite with Molten, Plague and Arcane Enchanted appeared. We died a bunch of times before we killed them. I guess our equipment weren't ready for Hell.
I've been getting tons of rares starting from Skeleton King. Act II is like a rare gold mine for me. They even dropped off normal mobs. I've been getting so many rares that my friend's equipment are literally donated by me.
Jump to 28:00 minutes into the video and hear the guy talk about the spirit of Leah! Turn up your volumes people!!

"Her spirit is still out there somewhere but there's a good girl there that deserves to be saved and brought back from the Abyss. So while we don't have any clues yet, you know, what subsequent chapters would be. Coming close. I would bet, we would chase that down because it feels right from the story level and from the character level."
