People should be running a difficulty commensurate with their current gear
    Why?
Because there's some sort of unofficial EULA, obviously...

posted a message on Details section... I need more details!
Back in the days of AH I remember I used to ALT-TAB to an opened excel file to input the numbers so that I could figure out if this item on sell is an upgrade for my DH and how much of an upgrade it is. I don't see how more tooltip information is a bad thing. I mean, I certainly could use 3d party tools to find answers. But was it convenient for me? Absolutely not. Hell, I'd go even more extreme and suggest a detailed tooltip for every currently used skill (PoE style), because right now I have this Xephirian Amulet with +20% arcane skills damage lying in my stash and I have no clue if it's an upgrade over my currently used ammy or not. And right now I have no will to test it: as in try to catch the 0.1 second long numbers over monsters in the middle of combat, write them down, repeat the process for the other item, think it over, etc. And I also don't want to return to excel spreadsheets. I'd rather go and farm some more legendaries, than waste my time with calculating numbers.

I want to kill the first zombie outside Tristram and have it drop a full set.

It's just how I want to play and it doesn't hurt anyone.
This will probably raise a few eyebrows but... It really doesn't hurt anyone. The whole concept of having some sort of competition in D3 is purely artificial. At least for now. It's like if TL2 players suddenly start complaining about over 9000 cheat mods out there. No one does that, right? Why should it be different here? Why would anyone complain if you want all the legendaries in the world?

I know that we've been through this a long time ago, but we wouldn't have this discussion if D3 had an online mode for ladders and HC and offline for all the others.

If you think about it, Even in these last 2-3 days before RoS, these more hardcore players can have fun finding the next "best place for leveling up" and to show everyone, and the regular players can have fun farming whatever they wantwithout feeling like they're greatly gimping themselves(which is the biggest argument here).
This is where I see the problem, to be honest. There is an obvious need for players to search for runs like that in the first place. That (for me at least) is a sign that overall the game is not overall satisfying and people can't equally enjoy the game or achieve their goals (be it highest paragon level or that elusive legendary set or whatever) at any given act, any given zone and need to constantly search for a better place to satisfy the demand for whatever goal they play D3 for.

Why can't people ever perceive things as just being "changed" instead of being "nerfed" or "buffed".

It's how a lot of changes in MOBAS are perceived, and most reasonable players are just fine with that.
That's because there is a reason to change/balance things in multiplayer games (especially if there's e-sport involved). Not the case here with Diablo 3, being pretty much singleplayer game with zero competition over anything. That's why it's so frustrating.

Not that I care about PvP but... What's the problem with releasing TDM which "will become boring in a few hours/days" and continue with brainstorming/implementing something more cool in terms of PvP instead of scrapping it completely to come up with something more cool in terms of PvP. I mean people would be upset anyway - isn't it better to get them upset over *something* instead of nothing at all?

I'm more interested in who's behind the god (that is if god exists at all) and how far that pattern goes. What is god's purpose beyond creation and (not that perfect) moderation? And more interesting is - who gave him this purpose? If we were created by god than why did this happened when it happened? Why not earlier? And what circumstances led to god suddenly snapping out of dormancy and starting creating things? And if there were any circumstances - what/who triggered them? And if there were none and god started working as soon as he appeared than what triggered his birth? Was he part of something else? Who created that something else?

posted a message on Trade Scammer
One thing I don't understand - they have a scam-proof trade system in WoW, as far as I remember, where two people have to accept trade offer, and the trade commences if both are ok, and if someone changes something, the "accepted" state resets. Why not implement the same thing here? It's not like it takes too much coding.

Just to clarify - the story isn't "bad". There just is no story atm. Just a placeholder. For example:

There is no info on the woman running away from you in warden's den and blocking your path to the forest.

I'm not sure how good or bad the story will be - for now it's just too early to judge somethings that is not in the game. But I'm sure the images of demonic villains will not taunt you "while you're on your hero errand". :P

I'd be willing to give Path of Exile a try. I have been trying to watch some videos of it in action but my crappy work internet connection can't get any videos to buffer/load.

When does PoE plan on being released?

    Sent you PM.

If you want to play something very similar to Diablo II, try out Path of Exile. www.pathofexile.com

Except for it is also online only. But I agree - PoE has D2 mood.

[edit] Reminds me that I still have two closed beta keys. OP, can share one with you if you want.
