posted a message on Why is s4 starting so late for US?

This is with the players considerations in mind. The community often requests to set the season start time at a time when the majority of players will be able to get in first-minute.

The fact that we "have to wait" is a favor to us.

is there less elite/champion groups in grifts now too? The furnace would help with clearing these mobs as well.

Thing is, I'm pushing HC Grifts (currently ranked solo #8) and once you get over tier 50-ish, those white mobs stand you up and waste your time. In 2.2, the elites weren't the problem, it was the RG. There's been paradigm shift now, as less onus has been put on the Grift Guardian's health.

Look at the solo boards. That tells you much. Most of the Monks above me aren't using Furnace as a passive, and there's a reason why. I have no other better option than to cube Furnace, but what's happening to me is I hit a hard wall after clearing a 54 in HC. I simply cannot keep up with the timer at tier 55 because my weapon passive is a Furnace.

Zodiac cubed + Focus/Restraint equipped......really great for some builds. It's what I use for my HC r6 Monk when in groups, as Unity isn't a viable option in party play.

Right now, many of the top solo Monks aren't using Furnace to push grifts. I wouldn't either if I had the right gear. The thing is, due to the changes in Grift dynamics, a big part of getting a good time in a Grift is how fast you can clear white (regular) enemies. Furnace will not help you do this, so many people pushing for top placement are finding other options to cube as a weapon passive other than Furnace.

Grouping with friends and doing split bounties is going to make your effort to gain extraction mats much quicker, as I'm sure you already know. However, a lot of people aren't aware of how the current Bonus Bounty situation is working.

ALWAYS do the Bonus bounty map (act) first. After you finish that, the bonus moves to another map (act), and then you do that one....and so on. This will literally double the amount of extraction mats you receive from bounties.

As for your main question; My first choices were Cindercoat, Unity, and Furnace. A great set of item passives for a HC r6 Monk. Looking for Shenlongs to equip so I can replace the Furnace passive with Flying Dragon.

    It procs itself.

Other CC effects also proc it. The drawback of BotT is it's proc range of 15 yards, which may be unsuitable for ranged attacks. 15 yards in Diablo is approx 1 1/2 times the length of your character.

Is it me or Blizzard didn't announce any official statement on the release of patch 2.3 yet ?

After launching my bnet app I saw a small update but no patch 2.3. I know that ptr server went down yesterday but a part of me is uncertain.

EDIT : After I've tried to launch the game they quickly show a message that a new patch is available. Maybe I'm just scare that I won't be able to play all day lol.

I dont think is only you. I havent seen anything so far on todays patch... Opinions?
I have full 2.3 patch notes on my Blizzard Launcher desktop app as of a few minutes ago.

    Everybody keep in mind;

If you're super excited and you want to pop in as soon as 2.3 goes live, in the past when they've extended maintenance by a few hours, they sneak it up after only an hour or so. So it pays to keep your eyes sharp.

It may also go up right at 11 PDT or it may well be extended. There have been times where it gets extended by several hours.

Either way, lets all be cucumbers as play it cool, aye? I feel for my European brothers who have to wait much longer.

How about they make 4 seasons in a year.

3 months is enough to get gear.

Yes. But is that enough for blizzard to create new content ?

For them to intro new items and a few sets? Sure. Season 4 is an exception due to the obvious and unusually heavy load brought by the Cube and the new zone.

2 months isn't enough time if you expect any quality updates between patches. Sure, they could flip the reset switch every 8 weeks, but they'd do so without much of anything new added.

Season 3 went on for a bit too long, but there was such a massive change that so much needed to be tested and retested (if you have any doubt, you didn't pay attention to the many bugs that were fixed and re-fixed).

3-4 months seems like the butter zone to me, perfect. It gives season players enough time to do all they need to do to take a shot at the Boards. It gives the devs time to implement and run a full course of PTR. It also doesn't keep non season players like myself waiting for too long.

8 weeks is just ridiculously short.

Got in over the weekend. People seem cool and it looks like membership is going to be a lot of fun. Thanks for having me. Looking forward to Season 4. Think I'm going to run DH.

Good to have you. We've gotten the roster very active, and it will blow up through the course of the next week. We'll make judgement calls once we get into the new season and we see some people still aren't logging in, but most of the roster is comprised of recently active players.

We have about 20 people waiting in line right now, so being able to get in may be limited to happening only if some people decide to leave on their own, at least for the next few weeks.

Thanks to everyone in the clan for helping make it so great. We've come a very long way since the clan first got started.
