posted a message on This game is getting less and less fun by the minute
Agree with the OP, which is why I sold all of my gear in RMAH today and am not coming back. As a person who played Diablo 2 for 5 straight years (from release through the LOD ladder resets and patches) without complaining a single time, and who killed Hell Diablo as a naked Sorceress (that requires at least a fair amount of skill), I can honestly say the skillcap is nearly non-existant in Diablo 3. DIablo 3 is littler more than money and time sink, one that completely excludes skill. All of these 'firsts' are by people who exploited game mechanics (see goblin farming/resplendent chests, life on kill/hydra, force armor invincibility, infinite smokescreen, Monk invincibility, etc), or had a Wizard/DH clear content for them in advance. Those achievements weren't earned by a longshot.

Currently, those who are actually clearing A4 are those who either also exploited the game enough to become part of the 5% or less of people rich enough to buy the ilvl63 gear, or those who are AH masters. Those of us who played the game as it was designed to be played, cannot do such things as farming A1-A2 is completely non-profitable, as the richest players control the market entirely, and inflate the gold prices accordingly. This is why nerfing/patching all previous exploits in the game only further increases the divide between the rich and poor in this game (pretty much the same as reality). There is no way to fix this game now but an expansion pack that wipes the entire market, as the current gold market is completely ruined. If you're not at least at 10m gold right now, there is no way to progress. Further attempts at controlling item drops/item farming rates merely decreases the overall fun in a game already lacking in it.

posted a message on Is 2h Barb Viable? I hope this video will inspire you! (Cydea + Azmo)
That's esentially all of these posts come down to anymore.

TIL: Get 100m+ gold and X spec is viable!! Herp derp.

With that kind of gold, I bet all kinds of specs are viable, such as DWing, Ranged only builds, etc. Nothing in the video here is new and/or exciting. Same information has been circulating since the 2nd week of Inferno.

My only complaint is the artifical barrier for melee in Inferno post A2. Due to that barrier, there is literally no way to beat anything in A3 and A4 without the AH. Even with amazing gear and over 30m gold, it is still a challenge. With that said, as time goes on, gold is devaluing quickly while item prices are inflating. The gear I purchased right as I hit 60 on my barb for under 200k, is now costing over 1m to 1.5m per piece.

Solution: Go farm items and sell them on the AH!
Answer: Nope, A1 and A2 Inferno items are completely worthless on the AH now. The only things worth selling off Butcher runs anymore are rings and amulets (which are statistically improbable to be good even when dropped, which is very seldom).

That leaves those who are stuck before A3 to gold farm, to which Blizzard is increasingly nerfing on a regular basis. Besides, why should I have to farm for literally days to find/afford a single upgrade, in a way that essentially isn't even playing the game the way it was designed to be played. Gold farming A1 yields less than 150k and hour, whereas gold farming A3 NM yields over 350k an hour. Meanwhile the exploiters who farmed A3 and A4 before the class nerfs farm Siegebreaker and make over 1m an hour selling quality loot while casually enjoying the game the way it was designed to be played. This isn't including the fact less and less gear is showing up in the GAH due to the RMAH.

The game is simply broken right now for those not already in A3-4 Inferno, who want to be there until 1.03 (assuming it actually allows for melee progression).

I enjoy all his lines due to them being so enthusiastically stupid. He's kind of a bright spot in an already dark game. My only complaint about his dialogue (and the dialogue options of most NPCs), is that they use the same soundbytes for every answer to every question. After leveling all 5 characters to Inferno, Kormac's one question, "How are the criminals treated in your land?", works every every class but the Monk. The Monk's reply is something along the lines of 'usually I hunt them down and punish them' to which Kormac replies, "How odd, in the Order we just execute them." What do you mean how odd, you just disagreed with the same thing we both do?

    Perfect 15% IAS
    Perfect 7% Movespeed
    +135 Vitality
    +31 Cold Res
    1% Crit
    350 Armor

Buyout is 975k. Yes, I know these are bugged, but they are getting fixed next patch, and when that happens these will be worth double/triple what they are now. Also, finding a pair in the AH with 15%IAS/7%MS will cost you a minimum of 1.3m currently.

    Quote from Gheed2010

Why does it always have to be about you for you selfish kids?

Bobby needs a new Matisse on the wall. Yet all you can think about is this game you think you "paid for".

Seriously, grow up and stop whining.

What an idiotic thing to say. Let me explain to you how a business works. The business makes a product, then the consumer purchases the product for currency, to which the consumer uses the product and the business makes revenue. When a business fails to make a product, they lose money. You lose enough money and you go bankrupt, thus ends the business. In this particular case, we customers paid for the software product known as Diablo 3. Currently, we paid for a non-existent product, because our product cannot be accessed for hours at a time without advanced notice or reasonable justification. That is what is known as a fraudulent transaction, as selling a product that is faulty or ceases to function, when the business promised a product that is functional. When a business sells fraudulent products, the business loses money via word of mouth due to lost potential sales, as well as lawsuits from customers wanting compensation for their bad sale. I'm not the suing type, but similar things have happened to many companies before, and the company loses millions through class-action lawsuits.

Back to my main point, you would be an idiot for defending paying for a product that does not work. This is not the first time the servers have been down randomly for hours, this is not the first time our product has failed to work properly.

posted a message on Diablo fight, Hell. How to?
I beat Diablo in Hell mode on my Barbarian roughly 5 hours ago on the very first attempt, without using any potions. Not sure why people have difficulty on such an easy encounter. First off, this was the build I used, which is comical because it was my farming build and not my boss killing build (since I had 5 stacks of the Valor buff and didn't want to waste it):

    http://eu.battle.net...XVik!abV!aaacab

My stats (buffed using that build), are around 7500 dps, 36k hp, 6k armor, and around 120 too all resistances (which equate to 20% reduction or so). I have 8% crit, 2.5% lifesteal, nothing special there. Overall, my build is your average, farmed, fresh level 60. The key I guess to being successful is to avoid all of the obvious burst damage from Diablo in the various phases. Walk out of the fire patches, Leap behind him when he charges his hyper beam, and avoid the shadow spots on the ground that result in you being bone grabbed. Doing that affords you taking probably 85% less damage than the average guy derping around eating Diablo's spells like they give you nutrition. Don't forget there are two health wells on both sides of the arena you fight in; you can easily circulate drinking them and skip the potions.
