Way too low damage to be useful.Quote from Mob_DylanYou can currently stack about 11507 life after kill as it is right now, so 11507 x 500% = 57535 damage within 20 yards. Not bad if it doesn't change seeing how lvl 70 monsters would have much more hp. But who knows.
- ItemPassive_Unique_Ring_644_x1 - When you kill an enemy, it explodes for 500% of your Life per Kill as damage to all enemies within 20 yards. You no longer benefit from your Life per Kill. (Previously increased chance to find Health Globes by 100%)
Yes thank god they're removing LS completely, that is gonna buff my tank wiz a lot since I refused to play with LS items.

It's just me or someone else feel the need to laugh when they ready something like this?
Numbing Traps Enemies you Slow or hit with Fan of Knives, Spike Trap, Caltrops, Grenades, and Sentry fire have their damage reduced by 20% for 3 seconds.
So, an enemy under the effect of a skill made for then to stay away and not hitting the player make their damage lower by the duration they are being kept away? Diablo 3 logic never cease to amaze me.

Did no one else notice this? or has it been confirmed elsewhere that there is another gem being added?
Gain 0 resistance to all elements for every different color gem socketed into your gear. / If you have 5 different color gems socketed into your gear, you gain another 0 resistance to all elements.
If i remember correctly, there were 5 gems considered originally, the 5th being Sapphire which gave life steal. If they are removing life steal away from skills it could be that they are adding this gem which will make up for lost life steal.(even though that would mean less damage overall)

Actually, it more likely means they haven't implemented/tested any ideas for that yet. Probably still discussing what sounds best.
I didn't get your point. You say the Shadow Power change is uncalled for? Btw, it's not really a number change. It's a concept change.Quote from riptide
I think everyone understands the disclaimer. I think people also understand there is a process to tuning abilities. So when there's drastic changes like the shadow power one, which is not an appropriate number, people will call them on it for even thinking that was a valid number for testing.
Giving a character the ability to have an on-demand 15% lifesteal is problematic. Because except for Barbs (which can get 9% lifesteal, or I guess could ;)), classes like the Wizard and WD will never come even close to that sort of sustain. It also means that class doesn't need to care about any sustain in gear, and pretty much all that matters is getting enough Discipline to keep that up all the time.
Shadow Power was obviously designed as a "burst heal", not as an "infinite sustain" that outshadows all other Discipline abilities. That concept didn't work. And the %-based Sustain neither.
Maybe they're trying something new. We don't know what was discussed internally. Can't say I totally disagree with them for wanting to mix things up.
Having a hard time understanding this part. As I said, it's not even a "math" change. It's a concept change. 800+ Life on Hit is significant, and we don't even know what they're doing with proc ratios. So really? No room for debate or explanations? At all?Math doesn't leave room for debate, feelings or opinions. Again unless they change the coefficients for demon hunter to something ridiculously high, like 4-6x , this number is way off for practical testing purposes. So the only way that their judgment wouldn't be rightfully ridiculed.. would be if they just randomly typed in a number.
You mean the Attack Speed change shouldn't have happened? As an aside. I'd rather be the guy that jumped the gun and made a case for something that didn't need one. Rather than say nothing and watch the change come to pass, because of lack of foresight on their part. (i.e. attack speed values @ launch)
Also, I didn't mean: "do not criticize any change whatsoever". If you're against the Shadow Power change, discuss it, voice your opinion, say it's unreasonable, think of alternatives, try to prove how the skill isn't broken (you're gonna have a hard time with that one).
But there's no need to go overboard with the reactions.
My point was: we don't even know if these changes are gonna make it to a PTR/beta until they do. Big skill changes like this will very likely go through a PTR testing. And that's the adequate moment for strong and well informed feedback, not now.

^Perhaps its your build then. I never had survability problems with my DH although I ran 60k life and 550 AR. Problem with DHs is they're low farm speed, and seems like they're buffing that with the damage increases.
I never had surviability issues either lol, and you just confirmed my statement. I think we are on the same page. To be more clear I just hated how gloom was such a far better defensive ability than anything stand alone(skill wise). My hope is they bring our other cc and defenses up to par to it while also increasing our offensive capabilities(they are off to a good start). I would just like DH's to be just as viable and efficient as the other classes.
Gotcha, I read your post wrong. I just dont understand what you're worried about then. We agree that gloom was op and made it pretty much a mandatory skill, they are slightly nerfing it, we agree that DH need harder hitting skills, they are buffing that.

Poor DH's, They are the middle child. I know it's still early but from the looks of things DH's are still utterly fucked. In fact they maybe more so. Again I know it's early so things might change
I'm not sure if DH's are fucked as you said, because IMO DHs are the most balance class right now, so after they'll "fix" the other classes they should all feel similar plus the new loot will also help.

Why do you say that? Most of their damage skills have been buffed and resource costs reduced. The only nerf I really saw was to shadow power which I agree with.

hmm changes to the DH are not what I imagine and some of them seem like nerf... but I gues that now that we won't have op builds like WotB, Archon wizard or CM wizard everything will be more equal between classes... So let's see everything looks interesting.
Great work guys! and ty for the info.
Well my take was that they did nerf the DH - which I find almost shocking since I basically abandoned mine at P41 for a new WD I built for considerably less cost (not that I ever had much gold) but was able to get to MP7 pretty quickly whereas my DH could never effectively get past MP3. I'm no expert player but it's pretty well agreed DH is currently the most borked class.
I went in to the read expecting to see more buffs but it's definitely a mixed bag, maybe even a nerf in total.
I'd also say they're trying to cut crit chance percentages in half - no more 70+% crit chance builds I think.

It's not just Blizzard that's changing. The entire AAA video game industry is imploding, with a few exceptions of course. I believe there is gonna be another crash like the one we had in '83. The signs are all there; lack of innovation, predatory monetization tactics, releasing incredibly buggy and unfinished products, Ivory tower syndrome, graphics and wow factor while game play takes a backseat, single serving gaming mentality (mobile gaming), alienation of core fan base and damaged reputations.
Companies that actually care to craft products of superb quality will come out of this ok, others are gonna fall far from grace (already happening). Indie and AA games will get the lions share of the "gamer" market in coming years. Indies are already on a massive upswing while AAA games are having increasingly poor numbers (there are a few that continue to grow and are exceptions).
This is just my honest opinion about things and in no way to be taken as facts. Research this on your own to come to your own conclusions.

That's a pretty damn good guess, especially the China team part. It's so unlike Blizzard to outsource development on a new game like that, let alone a Chinese company.
In all honesty I don't believe Diablo 4 is even a thing, just read Wyatt Cheng's Gamespot response: https://www.gamespot.com/articles/blizzard-responds-to-diablo-immortal-criticisms-ex/1100-6463005/
Just this little part makes me weary that they have no PC response for us at all.
"You can expect Blizzard to spend a lot of time and attention on Diablo Immortal. Cheng said Diablo for mobile will be the next big core pillar for the Diablo franchise going forward."
Edit: also he has no tweets because everyone can tweet on that account, so you didn't really see "his" tweets as they were jumbled with a bunch of randoms.

Also I guess back in June 20th 2018 the leaker wrote this:

The leak was to Rhykker on Oct. 17th. Goes on to say a bit more about the Diablo franchise; Diablo 4 is open word, etc.
Since the Original Reddit came out (little over 3 hours since this post) there has been a litany of troll posts now that everyone knows about it. At least the Mobile leak was legit.
Again folks as far as I can tell anyone can use this twitter to post as it is through a website. So take what you see with a grain of salt.
Here is the Reddit link https://www.reddit.com/r/Diablo/comments/9upnti/rhykker_received_a_precise_leak_back_in_october_i/
It also has the original tweets.

This is an unconfirmed rumor so don't put too much stock in this. Just spreading the news.
https://www.ign.com/articles/2018/11/05/diablo-4-announcement-reportedly-pulled-from-blizzcon-2018
https://kotaku.com/sources-blizzard-pulled-diablo-4-announcement-from-bli-1830232246
From Kotaku for those that don't want to get link aids:
When Blizzard’s sole Diablo announcement at this year’s BlizzCon turned out to be a game for phones, it set off a firestorm of angry reactions from fans who had hoped for a new Diablo on PC. As it turns out, Kotaku has learned, Blizzard had originally planned to tease Diablo 4, but pulled those plans at the last minute.
The original plan for BlizzCon 2018, according to two people familiar with Blizzard’s plans, was for Blizzard to announce the mobile game Diablo Immortal and then end on a video in which company co-founder Allen Adham told the audience that a proper Diablo 4 was in development but not ready to show just yet. Instead, at last Friday’s keynote, Blizzard revealed Diablo Immortal to a quiet, uncomfortable crowd and then ended the show. For most of the weekend, Diablo fans raged online as a result, expressing their anger on YouTube and various forums. There were a few reasons for the controversy, but the driving factor was that the company’s sole Diablo announcement was a game that appeared to be made for a very different audience than hardcore Diablo fans.
The reactions could have been very different. Blizzard changed its BlizzCon plans for Diablo at some point in the last couple of weeks, those people familiar with goings-on at Blizzard said. One of those people told me that the Diablo team wasn’t yet ready to commit to an announcement, as Diablo 4 has changed drastically over the past four years and may continue to change further. (We’ve heard it’s gone through at least two different iterations under different directors.)
Blizzard said it did not immediately have comment on this story.
On October 17, two weeks before BlizzCon, Blizzard put out a blog post that essentially told fans Diablo 4 was in the works but would not be at the show. “These are very exciting times—we currently have multiple teams working on different Diablo projects and we can’t wait to tell you all about them . . . when the time is right,” the company said. “We know what many of you are hoping for and we can only say that ‘good things come to those who wait,’ but evil things often take longer.”
But even after playing down expectations, sources said, Blizzard was still looking to assure fans that Diablo 4 was in development, until those plans changed.
Diablo III launched in May 2012, and its first and only expansion, Reaper of Souls, followed in March 2014. Since then, new updates have been scarce, with an occasional new content patch arriving sporadically and a Necromancer character pack hitting in 2017. Last Friday, Diablo III also came to the Nintendo Switch.
Blizzard has assured fans publicly that it has multiple Diablo games in development. One of them is the game that fans are waiting for, and it was nearly announced last week.
UPDATE (8:32pm): This article originally stated that Blizzard had recorded a video, planned for BlizzCon, in which co-founder Allen Adham talked about a new Diablo game. Although we can confirm that the video was made, Blizzard disputes that it was planned for BlizzCon.
“First off we want to mention that we definitely hear our community. We generally don’t comment on rumors or speculation, but we can say that we didn’t pull any announcements from BlizzCon this year or have plans for other announcements. We do continue to have different teams working on multiple unannounced Diablo projects, and we look forward to announcing when the time is right.”
However, two people familiar with Blizzard’s plans confirmed that the company had indeed recorded a video in which co-founder Allen Adham spoke to fans about a new Diablo project. What’s in dispute here is the timing. We had originally reported that it was planned for BlizzCon, but it’s possible that those plans were simply discussed and never solidified. (Either way, the video never came out.)
We can confirm that Diablo 4 is indeed in development. One of those sources told me that the Diablo team wasn’t yet ready to commit to an announcement, as Diablo 4 has changed drastically over the past four years and may continue to change further. (We’ve heard it’s gone through at least two different iterations under different directors.)

After thousands of hours playing D3, all I can keep thinking about is how amazing it would be if they opened up modding for the community. Millions of Diablo fans creating content for the game they love and sharing it.

Especially when talking about the "slow game" Activision is playing. Connect your own dots and see if it seems true to you.

Blizzard is actually deleting comments on their Diablo: Immortal videos. They fucked up bad with this one.
They are out of touch completely.

What I don't understand is why make that "multiple projects in the works video" and then elude to them being mentioned at all. Another project mentioned would have at least saved face.

This game exists because of ancillary markets for sure. China being a huge one. I bet this will be pay to win over there.
Let the micro-transactions roll.

Lmao, you should see the new Virtual Ticket Video for Diablo. People are sad as fuck, I don't know why? Aren't the in-game items always lame?

Blizzcon 2018 Opening Ceremony:
Sean Murray comes on stage to announce that Blizzard sold the Diablo IP to his company; Hello Games
Sean then goes on to explain that his vision for the franchise will include procedural dungeons, monsters, loot, and of course planets (he calls them Realms of Hell, but they are basically planets).
When asked what the difference would be between that and D3? Sean shrugs and says, "Over promise and under deliver boys", then walks off stage.
Jay Wilson then runs on stage and starts beatboxing the theme to, "The Price is Right!" before jumping into the crowd and hammer fisting everyone in the face.
All is well in the world.
