This is just dual wield build, so use brain (its free) and dont compare with 2H builds.

Not comparing it to 2h builds. Comparing it to all EXP builds, of which, this is slower. You say "speed run" yet this isn't really.

You might as well do this on mp4 to just get from pack to pack fast.

If you know a build that gives more than 1m exp/min please share it with us. Nothingelse i can say about it wtihout proofs.

Its what I said before, "Tempest rush with skorn blah blah" as you so nicely put it. Do this for an hour on a fresh level. I guarantee you don't get 60m xp in an hour. I've actually timed myself doing a TR for a full hour and got 72mill. Thats inclusive of picking up drops, leaving games, restarting them etc. If you truly want to watch a video of me doing it for an hour, I'd be glad to provide.

It's not that your build isn't alright, in fact, dashing strike is alot of fun. Its just not a "speed run" as the title misleadingly states.

Something to add here: Since you're in Mp0, feel free to drop OWE for Chant of resonance. This lets you drop inner storm for fire storm.

Yes, you will not be gaining back as much spirit. But in testing, the extra damage and not having to ever circle back for stragglers more than makes up for the time lost having to use your deadly reach on every other elite mob. Which is fine, since even with the reduced cool down of sustained attack, you will be going through everything fast enough that your SSS will be on cool down when you see many elite mobs.

Now that I think about it, I'm wondering about running bladestorm+submission. That would be a total of 78% weapon damage a second, coupled with the extra 12% damage surrounding enemies take from the base property of MoC. Anyone want to test?
Blade Storm (60%) + Submission (18%). Submission scales with Attack speed, I believe.

It was painful to watch you go so slowly. Only watched the start through the tower.

Permanent TR with a skorn beats this any day. Seven sided strike instagibs elites.

With 64k you aren't upgrading anything. But start by Getting a 2 piece Innas, go with the belt. It will be the cheapest solid upgrade for you.

resists seem a little low but i guess that is why you use MoE... im surpried you do that much more damage than me... guess i need to re-evaluate my gear more

and gaedden, i would focus on that chest piece personally... only decent dex considering 0 vit

Your weapon could probably benefit from being lower DPS but having some dex and crit damage as well as an open socket, even without inherent crit damage, the bonuses from dex to dodge, armor, and damage can bring an 850 dps to be equivalent to a 1000dps weapon but with the added bonuses of more dex.
Your resists look more than plenty. Since you're an arcane monk, you could get some seven sins with more dex, vit, and arcane/ all resist for quite a good price since they're so over crafted.

Drop seven sided strike for sweeping wind - cyclone. It's ALOT more damage. Start looking for upgrades where you don't lose much resist, but gain alot of dex. You have alot of flawless sq amethyst, why not combine them as high as you can for your helm socket, %life is a big upgrade. Your chest could benefit from having 3 sockets, as thats 120+ dex in its own. Your dex is extremely low, dex gives you so much, dodge chance, armor, and damage. Your vit is also low for act 3, however, high armor and resists make your effective HP higher.

If your aim is to play as just a tank, not a high damage dealer, then I would recommend switching your build to use deadly reach - keen eye to buff your armor, drop the shield, and DW with as much LoH as you can. Keep in mind, that you still won't be able to stand and facetank everything.

A picture of your gear would be easier to see what would be best in regards to upgrades.

posted a message on PC on Lightning Stacked Monk Belt
Got a belt here that would be pretty good for a monk stacking Lightning. On the AH the closest one is 17m. I know that AH prices are stupid high so I'm looking for a more accurate price to what this might be worth to say, a monk stacking Lightning?

    Much appreciated guys!

Just looking through it with some example stats. Its nice to easily punch in some numbers, and see what IAS% would have to be on an item to be equal to a certain amount of dex.

Faved and looking forward to using when I upgrade. Good work and much appreciated.

posted a message on Seven Sided Strike: Target AOE?
If it's AOE, wouldn't it be potentially more damage with more targets around? If you have 5 targets around, all within the damage radius of each strike, it would be 111% x7 strikes x5 affected monsters granted each hit hits the target and the 7 monsters in the radius. However 7 yards is pretty close range for it...

With the wording it sounds like it would hit the target + anything in the radiius.

Seems like it could be some decent damage if you have alot of monsters tightly packed. But you would probably want to use Cyclone strike with it,and that would take up a much needed slot in my build.

Serenity--> It's less usefull because it has a 30 second cooldown, and less invlun time than Serenity
Blinding Flash--> The damage buff outweighs the potential burst damage of Seven Sided Strike
Cyclone Strike--> Not many use this, but I duo with a caster and like to keep him safe.
Mantra--> Not giving up 24% extra damage caused by me
    Spirit generator--> Yeeeaaahh.....
Sweeping Wind--> Also I don't think an explanation necessary.

Thats just how I see it, I would say this could be viable with a 2h high damage burst sort of build. But not with my current setup.

Why? - It's much faster to farm solo.

I've got a friend I've known for 6+ years. We've played together in WoW arenas (up to 2400+ rating), Sc2 etc. so we are very good together.

..but we never team up to farm, it is just soo much slower than solo.

With a monk running cyclone strike to pull mobs in and a nuker with good dps, you'll be clearing them MUCH faster than either could solo. and its alot more fun with a friend!
