posted a message on Level 60+ or not?
Quit complaining about loot. You're not the first person to get a crappy weapon on inferno. Did you notice that this forum isn't jam-packed with idiots complaining about the level 50 rares dropping in acts 3 and 4? Stop being one of those idiots and just vendor the loot like everyone else.

If every piece of loot was good, we'd have all cleared inferno and quit the game by now. Get some damned common sense.

And don't bump your thread. If people are interested in what you have to say, they will reply. The fact that they haven't shows that your thread is neither new nor interesting. Just because you have a forum account doesn't mean you need to make threads.

The Auction House certainly agrees with ffaorlandu. 24mill for a 1200+dps xbow with more crit damage.

Do people actually pay that much for xbows like that? Consider this a free bump.

    posted a message on 1.03...wishing I had 1.02c back
Well, I managed to get a pretty awesome item today. The rest was trash, but that's how it's been for weeks. Anyone expecting to see awesome loot on day one of the new patch is just being silly. Quit saying that loot is worse than before because it's not. It's the same loot, just with potentially better loot appearing in earlier acts.

My monk friend who, previously, couldn't progress at all in act 2, is finding it quite easy. My warrior friend, who has already killed Diablo, is finding it incredibly easier. And I'm not getting one-shot by everything in Act 3 anymore, even though I still only have about 21k health.

So, yes, acts 2-4 are much easier. If you disagree, you're clearly not gearing/playing the game properly.

More reason to learn how to count to 5 so you can lolezmode Azmodan/Cydaea runs.

Though, Whimsyshire mobs are quite easy...

posted a message on 1.03...more bad than good???
I'm a DH and I am very much looking forward to trying out the patch. Sure, I won't be doing OP damage with Nether Tentacles and I'll have to buy a bow to get my attack speed back up (since I was only ever using two crappy IAS rings), but so what? DH's were way OP and now we might be a bit more in line.

And Siegebreaker hasn't been the best farming spot for us in a while. Try Cydaea/Azmodan runs.

Blizzard isn't stupid enough to make a feature like this without plugging all potential legal loopholes.

posted a message on Demons Hunters & Resistance
    It's a matter of cost.

I've spent about $3,000,000-$5,000,000 getting my somewhat crappy DPS gear and it's allowed to me finish Inferno. People going for survival gear need to spend about $10,000,000-$20,000,000. No thanks.

Granted, I do intend to spend that kind of money on my next character, but there was no need for the Demon Hunter. The only benefits I would've really gained would've been making Damage Reflect packs easier. As it is, I've learned how to survive without health.

posted a message on How do you plan on dealing with the upcoming Attack Speed nerf?
    Quote from wyztec

Going for more survivability doesn't seem a likely route for DHs. I prefer to see them glass cannons. I believe someone already try to go the tanky route, stacking vit/res up a ridiculous amount, only to find that you still get pretty much one shotted. The only noticable difference is that you don't do jack shit in terms of damage, rendering it totally useless. We've been given smokescreen for a reason!

    Nam'sayin?!
Except for the fact that Inferno is going to be nerfed during the same patch that nerfs attack speed. In other words, your argument may no longer apply.

posted a message on HELP, buying diablo 3 used online
It would be a terrible idea. Just buy it new, it's well worth the $50-60 price tag.

Knowing where he lives would change nothing. The only way to safely purchase the game is brand new. Used copies can be banned at any time, as transferring ownership of accounts is against the terms of service.

posted a message on How long does it take for the death timer to reset?
I believe that you need to be alive for 2 minutes for the timer to reset. Killing mobs, as suggested in this thread, does nothing. Simply resurrect, alt-tab for 2 minutes, and you're set.

I happen to think gameplay designed around "dance in and out all the time" removes much of the challenge and enjoyment in playing the game.

So you actually prefer a game that has less skillfull play in favor of simple gear checks? You're likely in the target audience Blizz has catered this game to...those who will willingly buy an equipment loadout for $300 on the AH because they've accepted that's their only chance at success in D3.
Skill = vaulting away before the enemy gets close enough to swing at you or simply never letting it get close enough.

You're sitting here talking about skill and completely ignoring the fact that what you're asking for is already in the game, you just have to play a bit differently to utilize it. You don't dodge the attacks, you dodge the mob. If the mob can't swing at you, it can't hit you.

So, I suggest getting some practice in and learning that "skill." Hitting a button when you see a mob start winding up a melee attack is not skill -- it's reaction. Preventing that mob from starting the windup is skill.

I'm actually quite amazed that the cap is even higher than 1.4B. I mean, I expected it to cap somewhere in the hundred millions.
Why would you except a cap? Just because there was in D2 where gold was nearly useless? :P
Because it's basic programming that every value has a pre-defined cap.

    Quote from Archet

If everything one-shots you, you are obviously not ready for that specific act yet.

Go back one act, farm more gold / items and try again later. The progression is not meant to be linear.

I'm at 45k hp, 600 all res, 65k dps (without ss), and just recently act 3 and 4 became playable without getting one-shot by everything.
I'm at 20k hp, barely any resists and less DPS than that and I'm on act 4. Yes, I get one-shot by everything, but I'm obviously ready for act 4 as I've made it there without much issue.

Here's a pro tip Blizzard. How about you fix your ****ing game and maybe we won't die so much? I do not care how much resist or DR you have in inferno. There are some elites or rares you can not beat.

Here's a pro-tip: Read the fucking article that you're bitching about. They're nerfing inferno in the same patch that they're raising repair costs.

Also, they banned the gold dupers.

You might want to get a clue before you post again.

Yes, these are the straws I am referring to. I am glade there is one person left with hope. As for a clue. I seriously doubt you are in any position to know someone that "has a clue" from someone that doesn't. Enjoy.
You're the one bitching about repair costs and inferno difficulty in the same post and I'm the one that doesn't have a clue? Hint: They're raising one and nerfing the other... what exactly is there to bitch about?

Wait, I get it... no reading comprehension!

Here, let me make it easier for you to understand:

Blizzard: We don't like zerging, so we're raising repair costs. But we're also making inferno easier, so you won't die as much!

You: What? You're raising repair costs!? But I die so much in inferno!

    Blizzard: ...

Ok, now read all of those. Read them again if you don't understand the point. Still not getting it? Then keep Diablo uninstalled, because we don't want to read your bullshit.
