6 Skills at once (Thanks Maffia for the pointer forgot they changed it from 7 to 6 - again late in development)
Square, Triangle, Circle, X, Left Shoulder, Right Shoulder, Left Trigger, Right Trigger
6 Skills, two potions. Point is, simple is better. Point is, it makes much more sense to build a game that confines you to 6 choices when you realize its build for a console gamepad.

I'll take this as an example because you seem to be looking too hard to find anything that might be interpretated as console only design. 6 skills at once is actually pretty ergonomic design if you want to go for a more actiony player experience. Humans only have 5 fingers.

I actually stopped reading this post after seeing this one. Priceless..

After sifting through the rhetoric of the OP, I suppose the summary of the entire thing is "D3 sucks because it was designed for a Console, and Path of Exile rules!!" I personally play both, and admittedly more PoE than D3. Do I give a shit that the game was ported (or is in the process of) to a console? Not in the slightest. Are you making an argument that console games are easier than PC games? Cause, if so, I can name four off the top of my head that were virtually impossible to beat on their hardest settings and/or without using cheat codes. Also, using the "PoE is superior because of the skill system." argument. Sure, I'll give you that, the skill / Ability system is much better and much more complex than Diablo's, however you do realize that the Passive system is basically a direct copy of the "Sphere Grid" system from FFX (console game as well), right? PS, here's a link to a grid if you need to refresh your memory. http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20100227155641/finalfantasy/images/9/94/Final_Fantasy_10_Sphere_Grid.svg

TLDR: Do I still play Diablo 3, yes though not nearly as much compared to release. Do I give a giant shit if it gets ported to a console? Nope. You should know by now that Blizzard will do whatever Blizzard wants, as long as Blizzard makes money.

I liked most of this.. The only thing I absolutely hated was the addition of "daily quests"... Really? 7 years of my live sucked through my eyes through WoW dailies has pretty much solidified the fact that if I see even one daily quest appear in this game, I would drive to Blizzard HQ and set myself on fire.

posted a message on Why The Auction House Ruined The Game For Me
What I've noticed about the AH (and RMAH to an extent) is that it has become too large of a portion of the meta-game. I will agree with the few posters that stated that the AH is a good way to get over a dps hump, be it for Inferno Diablo, or for MP10 "progression". Its reached the point where it seems that people are more concerned with finding that super amazing "OMGOMGOMGOMG" item just to see how much they can fetch in an auction rather than to improve their character, or an alt if the stats don't coincide with your character's. Another thing I've noticed, at least in my experience, is that bartering and open trade is completely and totally dead. I personally would rather negotiate a trade of items with another player, rather than set a price and decline every offer simply because "the AH has this at X price". It almost feels as though your bankroll is more important than your character's gear progression, which drastically takes away from the spirit of the game.

With that said, we also live in a world plagued by the idea of instant gratification. Why should someone farm endless hours, days, weeks, etc for that elusive piece (Anyone who played D2 knows, and I know people that are still trying to get that one piece 10 years later) when given enough coin, buy the item(s) on the AH, and have that item immediately? I personally use the AH sparingly, selling items relatively cheap (nothing over 2-3m or 2-3 USD in the case of RMAH), and very rarely purchasing items. IMHO, if they increased the probability of rolling stats on par with your character's primary stats (Intel for example) slightly, and gave a slightly better chance to roll favorable properties, that would reduce the reliance on the AH, and revert it back to what it was originally intended on being; something to fill the gap.

    Reroll to barb :)
I played WD as well, but everybody plays barb now days, they are just too OP, compared to every other class.

Yea, the problem with OP toons is that they get boring really REALLY fast, at least to me. So... Aside from the "lolrerolltobarb".....

posted a message on WD Solo and MP10 Key / UBERS Carries
    Hello all,

In a nutshell, I'm looking for some advice regarding my gearing and speccing for MP10 solo play. I'm just coming back from a break, and still working on the gear obviously. What DPS, Health, Resist range should I be aiming for to start key farming, and eventually UBER bosses etc?

    http://us.battle.net/d3/en/profile/tidez-1819/hero/30872824

Again, I know my gear isnt up for high MP yet. Just looking for a base on which to build when dropping the gold.

    Thanks

posted a message on Newish monk, 1.0.7 builds?
    Quote from xPoys3

Hey guys, I have a level 60 paragon wizard but got bored and rerolled a monk last week and I have absolutely fallen in love with it.

I recently spent like 30-40 mil for a TR set and have been powering up my paragon levels. However, I've read that TR won't be as good in 1.0.7 and also with the XP buffs farming a higher MP would probably be quicker anyways.

build is looking good for next patch? Or what builds are good now for higher MPs? I've done a lot of research and I can't find anything consistent. Any ideas or links would be nice. Thanks!!!

TR is actually getting a buff (from 85% Weapon Damage to 155%), so I'm not sure why someone would say that it wouldnt be as good, since its pretty efficient in its current state. Like the above poster stated, with snapshotting fixed, you could swap blind out for another skill / rune combo, My non TR spec will probably resemble something like this:

    http://us.battle.net/d3/en/calculator/monk#aSXegk!UXc!acbaYa

Wave of Light will probably get swapped around with Lashing Tail Kick or perhaps Dashing Strike.

Around 300 total hours across my toons. I've still got some stuff left up to kill but honestly, I've played at the "hardcore" level of gaming for the past 7-8 years, and really just want to enjoy the game. Theres no point in speeding through a game, then complaining about it non stop when you've got nothing left to do.

posted a message on Act I farming while wearing a MF set?
    Quote from Kaoskadosk

I recently geared up my monk for Act 2 with ~500+ resist, 29k hp, 25k unbuffed DPS and 190% MF (I swap in another 38% from shield and gloves when I go for the kill) and excluding weapons and gloves it cost me maybe 5 mil or so.

So to get a decent Act 1 set, it shouldn't be too hard nor expensive.

I have roughly the same stats, only with 210% MF before shield swapping, and I was able to score it for under two million. You just have to scour the AH pretty well. It might take a couple days, but its easy enough to get fairly decent MF for cheap.

posted a message on Inna's? Yes? No?
Yea I was thinking about going with either the Pants and Belt or Chest. My main concern were the actual bonuses. Obviously the 130 Dex is easy to get with the 2 piece, though further than that is what concerns me.

posted a message on Inna's? Yes? No?
I recently found a piece in the Inna's Set (Pants) and was wondering if it would be worth picking up the 2 or 3 piece. The bonuses seem decent, though I doubt the stat loss between the helm, chest, and belt would be worth the set bonuses. Any thoughts as to the relative strength of the set?

posted a message on DW Crit Build Without SS
    Quote from Leh

The more crit you stack though, the less you should need, yes? So one might consider swapping our Archery in your build for tactical advantage, which gives awesome survival skills.

I think it could work; but you need a pair of BA crossbows. I would think something like:

+10 disci, socket, crit dmg, dex, and ofc as high damage as is possible. On both.

I want to test it, but 2 of those would cost much more than I can afford.

I agree its not exactly money friendly, considering you'd need two serious 1h xbows. As far as the crit, I personally think that Archery would still be pretty beneficial, unless you start breaking 30-35% without Archery. In that case, I suppose Tactical Advantage would be better.

posted a message on DW Crit Build Without SS
As the title says, heres what I've been thinking for a DW build. First, I know that it will most likely still be not as effective as 2h, however I think it could be competitive considering the IAS nerf. With decent gear, you can obtain around 25-30% crit fairly easily, and the 10% from Archery pushes that up even further, making Sharpshooter fairly unattractive. Additionally, with a normal bow, I'm sitting at around 300% increased crit damage. Combining the Attack Speed / Hit Frequency of DW, high crit and high crit damage, I think that it could conceivably keep up.

Heres a build I was thinking of using, obviously some talent swaps depending on the encounter would happen (caltrops for Istaku being one).

    http://us.battle.net...jXZV!Yce!cZYZcc

Frost Arrow- Offensive Slow for multiple targets along with some AoE damage. I suppose you could swap FA for Lightning Bolts. With the high crit, you should be able to keep mobs pretty well locked down.

Spray of Teeth- More AoE damage for free on crits. Again, given the high crit, you should proc SoT fairly often.

Impale / Grievous Wounds- 100% additional damage on a crit. See above.

Cull The Weak- 15% additional damage on slowed targets. This would take some effort, considering you'd have to reliably keep the slow from Frost Arrow up. This is the portion of the build that I'm not quite sold on yet. Having to juggle FA while regenning your Hatred and dumping Impales could get tricky at times.

Again, I'm fully aware that this build would most likely be ineffective; though thinking outside the box is what the game is all about amirite?

    Quote from Tyraen

If you were a top player you wouldn't need to rely on the obvious OP build every other DH in this thread is whining about. You aren't top, you aren't hardcore, you are just another 12 y/o trying to make a point using personal skill as a qualification for stating a nerf isn't warranted. You are so badass and tested all other builds, and your awesome talents prevented you from progressing except using NV.

Of course, you haven't played with the global damage reduction in Act 2-4, so you have no idea how much less dmg things will be doing to you, or how that plays out in comparison. Or wait, in your all-knowing awesomeness and top 1% skill level, have you already crunched all the numbers in your head while curing cancer and solving the issue of world peace?

    I love you for this.....
