I don't know. Anyway, I hope they can reverse this, and fix the game to be about fun, not the RMAH.

You lost all credibility when you said this. You proved yourself to be stupid and ignorant in one fell swoop.

If you really think this game is "about the RMAH" then you really really are pretty stupid. Diablo 1 and 2 both had HUGE markets on ebay. D3 would be no different, as such Blizzard nipped it in the bud by adding it right into the game in order to both protect the community and make a little money. If you are dumb enough to see that as a bad thing you probably also have to actively think about breathing to do so.
    Seriously?

I played D2 for years, and never had the feeling I needed to buy ANYTHING on ebay.

Don't teenage rant me. I'm just expressing my feeling which is shared by many: without the AH, you can't play the game entirely basically because of the loot system.

Actually, even better, if you NEVER bought anything from the AH, I'll bow to you, if you have, think again.

Btw, ask your mom to teach you manners.

For what it's worth he never said that you, personally, felt as if you needed to make eBay purchases.

He simply stated that there were huge markets on eBay for D1 & D2 (moreso D2 than D1) and that one of Blizzard's motives for the RMAH was to help protect its customers from scams and instead of letting commissions go to 3rd party websites they could collect the commissions themselves and use that money to bring the players more in the future.

I don't know about you, but as someone who sells items on the RMAH, I'm much happier that Blizzard is getting the commission than I would be about eBay. It's only going to help ensure that they have better hardware, that their employees get paid better, and that we ultimately have better products. My commissions going to eBay do nothing to further my experience with Blizzard products.
    You're right.

It is interesting how people understand the same information differently.

When I made the post I was more surprised than anything. Granted, I still don't feel this is a mature enough product, but I play the game and have fun with it. Not leaving or anything, but was quite alarmed with the graphic, that is all.

Just wanted to post this to those saying I was trolling a fan site. That was not my idea.

Thanks guys, I didn't know all that about Xfire.

The original article talks about a series of things, not only Xfire. I read it, posted the link, but apparently, the graph got all the attention. If you have 2 mins, read it.

    Thanks =)

Seriously, dont use Cinema Blend, all those bloggers do is look at the D3 forums and post "news" about what ever is popular there.

They also claimed that session spoofing was actually happening, and that Blizzards servers were hacked. (Both have NEVER been proven, or even had one ounce of evidence to support)

There are other sites to reference for better, more accurate information. (even to the same kind of tune against D3)
I actually don't read those sites. I was in bed, reading news in Flipboard and saw the article, read it and thought to share it.

Flipboard is just an aggregator. A good part of the article lists problems with German, France and Korea. Also some issues with RMAH listed in Forbes. Problem is, apparently, the graph took all the attention, hehe. Maybe I should only have listed the article.

Anyway, it is good to know about the site. Thanks. =)

Yesterday I came across this article, and thought to share it here.

We all feel like there are less and less people playing, but the graph and numbers really surprised me. Maybe that is why Blizzard is putting patches out so quickly?

I don't know. Anyway, I hope they can reverse this, and fix the game to be about fun, not the RMAH.

    Original Article:
    http://www.cinemable...d-Up-44005.html

    Players graphic:

    Update:
    - As many pointed out, Xfire does cause issues with D3, thus the drop is most likely related to that too.
    - Xfire users are a small fraction of the user base
    - Please read the "original article" as there are more things that interested me in it than just the graphic.

I'm still experimenting with this as my goal is a2 / 3 farming, but there are a few things it is good to point out, IMO.

1 - LoH can be achieved to 1300 / 1400 easily with dual wielding and an ammy. Those pieces would go for about 250k each. It doesn't need to be perfect, but it can be done.
2 - Get fast weapons. For the main-hand, while a mace is 1.2, an axe is 1.3 attacks per second. Get an Axe. For the off-hand, get a dagger. A DAGGER.
3 - High resists is a must have. Fire resists is the most important one IMHO as you'll be whirlwinding through TONS of shit on the ground like desecration, molten which will cook you down quickly.
4 - Startup to me is Warcry then Battle Rage, one or two hits then run around with Sprint, finally get back punching in the face with WW.
5 - The KEY of the build are the tornados left behind by Sprint. That fuels your Fury AND life with LoH. Remember this when you get Fury starved. Watch what you're doing wrong, aka dropping the tornados at the wrong spot. Try again.
6 - This build is easier to play in single than in multi-player. Reason is that mobs tend to follow you and end up in those tornados. Multi-player takes a while get it right.
7 - You WILL die. A lot more than with a S&B + revenge + charge build. However, you WILL have fun, and not ask yourself why your life is to hold the left button with frenzy and spam revenge.
8 - You will feel like a god when all your friends are running away and you're WW your way in the middle of a double pack pull that is jailer, frozen, nightmarish. Given that you can survive all the stuff they will put on the ground. =)

Still experimenting with gear. I'm wondering if a good shield with 10% crits and a dagger as main is not better than focusing on having a main hand as an axe for Weapons Master. Maybe dropping that or Ruthless for Superstition will do the trick to survive the pathetically bad designed fire damage packs put out. =)

I am no longer a fan of Blizzard, since patch 1.0.3..
I stopped reading after mentioning the patch. Simply can't take it seriously to measure a company and a franchise over a single patch.

I'm experimenting with those settings now myself. Got back to 60k but dropped my LoH to 600, and got the Blood Funnel. At least now I can take some of the punishment before the fun starts.

There is one issue for multiplayer though, as players scatter, sometimes it is hard to get the tornados hitting things, which screws up badly to quick fury build.

Well, dropped overpower as you suggested, but changed the startup and truly, it works as a charm.

This is definitely a LOT of fun. =)

NotZizka, thanks for posting the second and third videos, they helped. =)

The experience of pretty much raising the middle finger to any CC endlessly for the pack is fantastic. =D

I want WAY more health for this though... Also, might try it with axe / shield or something like that if things get rough.

Problem is, my main weapon has 255 vit, so, I'm dropping 10k to have life leach. Anyway, with higher gear this will probably be my dream build to face roll. Just loved it when I got it working.

Thanks for the new videos. I'll try it again.

It seems I was trying to startup with the wrong sequence. However, I still don't feel comfortable going without the war cry.

Well, I tried this. Got owned to my last bone by a simple group of Lacuni Slashers. No champs, regular mobs.

Maybe I'm missing something, but I couldn't have the wonders of fury started.

I posted this while waiting half a minute to respawn. =p
