Seriously though, the changes look good, not perfect, and only mass testing will tell, but it looks quite interesting, specially with the 2h changes. Gotta see if they will finally get it right.
From my tests, I remember 2h would always lead me to 20-25% less damage, so, that change might be spot on to actually put 2H to good use again.

Lol, it is a product to be sold in China. Even the original gotta look like counterfeit stuff... (bad, I know, just couldn't resist myself)Quote from LimrassonUngh. Chinese edition of the game sounds awfull.
I mean those are just one of the many examples. Diabl owas always fond of gruesome death animations. I bet they censure death into a tiny cute gravestone now or something. -

Here comes 2.1 and we all will believe, again, that it will work, as it should have, more than a year ago... -
May 16, 2014KorganNailo posted a message on Anniversary Dev Stream Highlights, Clarifications on Undocumented 2.0.5 Changes and Upcoming Fixes, Diablols 3 OpeningOne day perhaps they will finally fix the stats... "Oh, everybody uses Emeralds on weapons, ONLY, and there MUST be a socket!" That has been around with the trifecta problem all over. AS has changed, ok. Crit chance and crit damage have not. While crit chance is important to mechanics, crit damage is just a messed up stat that if you have it you can do progress, if you don't, you can't. They should just improve the impact the main stat has and get rid of crit damage as they did with a few others.Posted in: News

Let me bring World of Warcraft into the conversation for a comparison. One of the MAJOR set backs for "end game" was that you had to sell your soul to get into a "good" raiding guild so you could raid properly. That was such a frustration for a lot of people that the game lost interest. I say a lot of people because of a group of 6, 5 got so frustrated with that thing that we simply lost the interest. Now, I still believed it was (and is) the best MMO out there, specially after trying several others, but I just couldn't care less about the Guild Drama™ that every single raiding guild I got into had.
The lesson there was clear: force people to group for a purpose and frustration follows. Anybody who is not sure of what I'm talking about, there have been recent dev blog posts explaining the whole thing they've been going through for several years trying to improve on that, thus the flexible raid, LFR, etc.
Now, Diablo, up to this torment nonsense, was always the game which was safe from that problem. A sanctuary of pure gameplay. You wanted to play, you logged in, you played, that is it. No "progression", no need to have "certain groups", no need to "farm with the same people" or "go with mirror classes to maximize loot".
Unfortunately, Diablo 3 fell into that vortex in which WoW was about 3 years ago. From MC's video, that is quite clear: if you want to get past T3, you must (most likely) play with the same group, a consistent one, with people that play at yourleveland are willing to share. It is awesome on paper, but on practice, that is NOT what I want from a Diablo game. If I wanted that, I would still be raiding in "top end game" raiding guilds.
Who knows, perhaps one day folks at Blizzard will realize that. Gosh, if I could have D2 with the visuals of D3, I would be happy. So much wrong has been put out in the concept of gameplay of this game so far...😕 - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

Diablo was never meant to be only glass canon viable. Glass canon builds were and will always be part of the game, but when they are the only thing you can do to play, then there is a huge problem.
Still, being a glass canon doesn't mean you should 2 or 3 shot every mob. 3 secs Butcher? Really?
I would love to play a DH / Wiz / WD with hit and kite, as long as hit and kite doesn't mean 300 hits for me, none for the monster or I'm dead.
I can see this game going back more and more to look like Diablo 2. Mind you, I also believe they are saving some stuff, like runes and rune words for an expansion.
Diablo was never a game to be played ONLY like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PEyk63UaBI4

1 - pimp your follower. With 5k DPS, that is a hell of a freaking help. Mine does 1k, and I simply can't do a third of what you do. You run, she shoots. MAJOR difference.
2 - Siegebreaker bug on charge: sad face.
I'm not trolling or anything, just pointing out things that called my attention. I actually did the exact same thing you did when I started Inferno. Ended up with a pretty good set for 250k. All blues.
Tweaked it a bit, and I can say that my gear today, aside from amulet and rings which I found, is, if summed all together, under 500k.
I haven't found anything to sell for more than 5k in the AH though, so... no money to spend. With a few differences in build and so, but what you do there is basically my every day a1.
Again, thanks for the videos.

I'm still stuck in A1 and I won't dwell into it, but helps to give you a perspective.
With my shitty gear of less than 250k everything (not 250k each, 250k summing the price of all pieces), I'm doing fine.
What I wanted to mention is Juggernaut. I dropped Tough as Nails for it. Main reason is, when you find those mobs that freeze or whatever, you actually gain back 15% of health, which is more than welcome.
I found myself repositioning in the middle of 3 or 4 freeze orbs that are about to explode to watch my health going from 30% to full.
Just that skill that made me loose the fear of freezing mobs.
On the other hand, those that hit really hard with melee might become a problem.

When I got into NIGHTMARE with the crappy gear I had from normal, I couldn't kill the first champions pack that I found. I was stuck.
Then I found that with 5k gold I could buy a lot, actually, everything that would make me breeze through the difficulty, and that was proven to be true up to late Hell.
Now, take the AH out, and I have over 200 hours of gameplay without ever finding A SINGLE GOOD ITEM.
Considering that I would probably be farming Nightmare to get past nightmare, whoever says they find good drops are either very lucky or just me that am incredibly unlucky.
Bottom line: to me, D3 is impossible to play without AH.
