posted a message on GODLY barb ammy !! some nice perfect rolls
It's only missing one crucial stat - crit chance. Amulet is a source of 10% CC and completely missing it for a barb in any build (barbs are very heavy crit dependent) is a big deal. Otherwise not bad

You are blabbering utter nonsense without any proof whatsoever, whatever happened to you individually and the jealousy of that guy next door that got what he wanted does not, by any means, provide for any sort of proof. If you want to have your 'theory' even listened to by anyone - provide solid, statistical proof. Don't come with the 5 out of 6 didn't drop, that sample size is so pathetic it's equivalent to proclaiming that woman with dimples has a higher sex drive - sound ludicrous right? Same goes for your post.

Sure, i did 7 wardens on MP6 the other day and i only got 1 key, the night before i did 12 wardens on MP5 and i got 12 keys. Seriously, just get a coin and toss it 11 times, please report your findings upon that and proclaim that there's a 75.234% chance of getting heads when tossing a coin.

People like you should not only be banned from forums, people like you should be banned from life in general - idiocy like that makes life all that much more miserable for those around you.

posted a message on proc items?
Hey guys, there's loads of items out there with proc based CC, for example X% chance to freeze on hit, etc.

Now i understand the new CC mechanics in the game with 1.0.5 - my question is - did anyone try these effects with CM build? WW ticks very fast, especially with the higher APS, however there seems to be that split second break that allows mobs to get away or hit you in the face.

    So the real questions are
    1) does anyone have any idea what the base duration of these effects is? Spent over an hour searching online with no luck
    2) is their duration affected by the coeff of the spell? From what i managed to gather - the duration is not, but the chance to proc is affected by the spell coeff, surely it will be low, but an even low chance with the high amount of ticks per second from say 6+ twisters on a target it should happen often enough to be decent

This is a common method for WDs - they utilize high amounts of stun / freeze / immobilize proc items and it works very decently for them - why aren't wizards using this? Especially added into the CM builds?

Done up a whole bunch of updates and fixes, added the follower section, took out the farming route section until more research is done since act 2 has a bunch of areas with a LOT of champions as well as high mob density which works out superbly for this build on MP1 or higher depending on the DPS and survival.

posted a message on [GUIDE] Archon Wizard (updatING for 1.0.5)
I'll start making updates for 1.0.5 today with a few more to come in the next few days, doing some testing, checking gear and watching AH prices right now, there's quite a few changes and recommendations for the hellfire ring farming routes, etc.

However, i do have to note that for higher MP you need some pretty incredible DPS to make archon worthwhile in a solo play, in a team play - unless you have a crapload of APoC and high AIS gear + perhaps evocation - not much of a point on say MP4+, the amount of uptime of archon simply becomes too low and you're better off switching to something else.

I don't really know, there's a few factors you have to consider really
    1) double the chance of legendary / set items to drop
    2) higher MF with MP scaling
    3) some of the legendaries are getting 'fixed', for example chantodo's are supposed to roll 2 stats instead of current 1, so the current chantodo's MH are going to become completely worthless
    etc

Personally, i'm pretty sure the prices are going to drop even for other legends, the way i see it - they all got overpriced in 1.0.4 because noone had the 'new awesome' legends and sets, leading to extremely high demand, now everyone has them. Surely those with BIS random rolls are going to be far more expensive than the rubbish rolls, but they aren't going to be in billions that i can tell you for sure, especially in a couple of months - the simple supply and demand laws dictate that multiplying the supply by 2+ (incorporating the higher MF from MP) is undoubtedly going to lead to a drop in prices, that is not a question - the question is the amount of time it will take, whether it will be 1 week from the patch or will it be 6 months, there will definitely be a spike in prices right after the patch - everyone that sold off all their gear now are going to buy it back, hence increased demand, however once that demand is fulfilled - the prices are going on a steep drop due to a simple surplus until the prices reach the levels where the demand will meet the supply.
Right now - the surplus is stupid - you can see items like the witching hour with 9 AIS + 45 CD + 100 INT + 70 VIT + 10% Life is on AH for about 100m, i've been looking at that sitting there for the whole 1d12h duration and expiring with the min bidder winning it for 50m.

Is there a blue post or other information about the set wand or other legendaries only rolling 1 property being a bug? It's not mentioned on the patch notes. Is it possible it's just an error in the information online and it's actually working as intended in game?

I agree the surplus is really out of control, but we don't exactly know what the base drop rate for legendaries/sets are to begin with. That's not to say—enter tinfoil hat—that even with 0.0001% being doubled to 0.0002%, the majority of the legendaries you get will roll the lower end of the stats for their random properties—exit tinfoil hat.

Doesn't really matter what number you multiply by 2 - it's still going to be twice as many. I think blizzard's overall concern is the price of items at the moment - selling a 250 USD item on RMAH vs selling 100 items for 25 USD each, i do believe they intend for the second, which would make a lot of sense to any player as well - after all, if you think back about D2, about a year after the LoD launch you could fully gear in BIS for about 70 USD and that's a much more reasonable goal as compared to a few thousand USD, the price in USD dictates the price of gold, and that in turn dictates the prices on the gold AH.

So realistically speaking, being able to buy a reasonably top end item for a couple of mil is a very very good scenario, while the real BIS rolls are still going to be very expensive, but the whole gap between absolute garbage and the super top end is going to be reduced dramatically.

I do not recall where exactly i've read it, but there was a lot of blue talk about the mismatch of the current legendaries vs the game guide on their official site, i might have heard it from the people testing PTR talking about the chantodo specifically though, i don't think the patch notes mention anything at all about fixing any of the legendaries, the last i've checked, might have changed since then, lets see the 'official' patch notes released today

At the moment, however, the belief most of the players share - do not buy anything expensive now, the prices are bound to drop a fair bit in a week or two after the coming 1.0.5 patch, this is a major concern for a lot of very well geared players, to the extent they sold all their set and really expensive gear in the last 2 weeks, bought some average gear to simply stockpile the gold for the coming patch and do shopping after that for a fraction of the current cost of the high end items.

I only believe the part about items that currently max out at ilvl 62 and below (i.e. jewelry). I'm a little more confident with ilvl 63 Legendaries/sets with unique predetermined stats (say, attack speed on The Witching Hour/Tal Rasha's chest) staying around market value. That said, I only sold off one of my amulets and rings (and one more refuses to sell), but will keep the rest of my main gear. I was looking to get a high-end Triumvirate, but given that it's a ilvl 62 source, I'm hesitant.

Quite frankly if you really want to see the gearing you should just go to 1 of the 2 tools:
    1. http://www.diabloprogress.com/ - you can check the ranking, in terms of DPS, EHP, etc whatever you like, even higher paragon levels, etc, all the links to their armory as well as gear is on that website
    2. http://d3up.com - you can use this tool to do all the math for you, as much as spreadsheets are very useful - this is by far easier to use - it loads your profile and you do not have to enter any data manually, moreover there's a little tool that grabs item links from ingame and you can add those items to your profile for comparison, once again without having to manually type in all the item stats, this also has 'ranking' of DPS and gearing

So only ~ 35 wizards on the whole world should use prismatic armor on mp10 right now and the rest of us would be better off using FA? Thus even while using PA they could only withstand less than 3 attacks with 1+ million ehp?

About that many wizards in the world would be able to farm MP10 somewhat effectively at this point anyway. On this note - a well built CM wizard could become an effective 'tank', combining a party with 2-3 other players that are able to pull 200+k DPS, they will just have to literally DPS targets that are standing still...

Thanks a lot Loroese! That is now beginning to make sense, could you possibly just extend that table to 60% CC (which is rather obtainable) and to say 3.8ish APS (which is obtainable once again with say chantodo's set), surely i know it is going to cost a bomb to get to those levels, but just as a matter of curiosity as to whether it is at all possible to get to only 10 APoC pulling the weight of the build

As soon as you hit inferno imo, you do not have defensive abilities and the WoF has far too long a cooldown, a lot of different champs will eat you alive, for example fire chains
