Maybe they'll change the wording on met bolts so that it's "Reduces EA:BL travel speed by X%".

posted a message on M4 set bonus change And Kridershot Affix: What do u think?

People have done 50+ solo with the current version of M6 but not as ball lightning because you only get 3 sentries with krider+met bolts which is a lot less bonus dmg than UE. M6 is alright for starting out but UE is better in every way. They need to add back the 100% bonus dmg on sentries that they had to 2.1 ptr to bring M6 back in line with UE.

posted a message on Why do people expect so much more from Blizzard than any other developer?

One of the reasons Blizzard has historically had great success is because they do provide free updates, which keeps people playing the game, which gets them talking about it with friends, which gets more customers which pays for more updates. We expect updates from Blizzard because they are known to give updates and they design their games around it. D3 would have been dead after the first month of classic if people didn't know to expect updates for it, and it did die for a long time while they strung us along for loot 2.0 before finally giving it as the RoS prepatch after a year of no updates.

DLC kills games. It is a fairly new concept to try to squeeze out more profit but it tends to do the opposite. With DLC some people buy it (usually very few) and others don't and then the player-base gets fragmented and dies. Everybody that is unwilling to buy the DLC quits the game and never comes back, so then the people that did buy the DLC are the only ones left, and then because nobody is around they quit too, and with nobody talking about it they stop selling it. Hell, game studios are even starting to realize paid DLC is bad and are giving it away for free in their new releases.

Just look at twitch streams for instance as an indicator of how much "buzz" a game has. D3 is rather dead right now and only has 700 viewers to reflect that while the new Borderlands has 10k viewers, but in a month or so Borderlands will be dead and D3 will have another patch revitalizing it back to 10k viewers again. Publicity = sales = $$$.

The entire F2P model depends on this way of thought. Give the game away free, give free updates, get tons of players because they all talk about it with friends and there is no barrier to play, monetize it with visual upgrades or progression shortcuts or other crap.

hellifire guaranteed socket...I guess they do listen to the nonsense I posted on their forums a few months back.:p

Nearly everyone has wanted guaranteed socket on it since they introduced legendary gems...

This is going to be a huge quality of life change for season players. Now we'll be able to farm those perfect 20 ele/100chd/10cc/socket/decent passive hellfires with ease.

posted a message on What will a Rift/GR cost in 2.3?
    Quote from Detruncate»

Perhaps they've streamlined it so rift keys, normal and greater, are automatically deducted from your inventory/stash based on which rift type you select? How it works currently when you think about it, a key stone is "necessary" to distinguish between rift types from the player's perspective. No UI feature to pick one or other currently.

    ^ This.

You will most likely still need to do normal rifts to get GR keys but now that the stone UI let's you choose which one you want to do, there is no longer a reason to force you to put a key in. Hell, iirc the original reasoning for putting the key into the stone when there was only normal rifts was just so that you wouldn't accidentally open it when you misclick the stone.

How can you predict this when you couldnt predict this duo? just asking

Why do you think nobody predicted this duo? I've thought about this comp ever since barbs started pushing solo 60 over a month ago. Barb is great at clearing trash, dh is great at killing rg, it makes sense that if they can each solo 60 then put them together and they can at least do mid 60's. Hell, people have been running barb/dh in 2's every season because raekor/m6 had the same chemistry.

Wow okay... so instead of wasting your time with a TLDR essay about everything you're doing wrong, I'll tell you what everyone else should have. This sort of case is exactly what the BUILDS section of the site is for. There are tons of builds already posted there that will tell you how to gear and what skills to use.

Here is a pretty well written one to start with: http://www.diablofans.com/builds/54135-unhallowed-gr50-how-to-be-a-dps

Yeah wyrdward + eunjangdo rolled to lightning and ias everywhere possible is great for followers to lock down rg's. IMO use BKWB+wyrdward whenever you want to drop unity because BKWB's dmg aura does proc eunjangdo 100% so it freezes entire packs once they are low and freeze of deflection procs seem incredibly rare (there just isn't any better options for shields) so boosting block chance isn't very effective.

posted a message on Up-to-date paragon XP chart?
    Quote from Ragestyles»

    Quote from Bagstone»

Thanks! Well, better than the other data indeed, but looks strange. Before paragon 1000, having the same levels in season and non-season would result in not more than 100 paragon more (as a rough rule of thumb). According to this, if I take the example of Vajet (who's quite high in both season and non-season paragon) he'd jump from p1339+p1358 to p1662 after the season, more than 300 levels gain. It might just be because of the crazy amount post-p1000 XP needed per paragon level... who knows.

I'll use this data for now, until someone disproves it - but it would really be great if some p1000+ guys could just post how much they need for the next level, so we can "validate" the table. There are enough out there ;-)

No it's because before paragon 800 the xp per level needed was irrational. You always had different xp per level jumps. After 800 the xp per level is rational again and you need exactly 122.400.000 XP per level. I can confirm that both charts are correct and still up to date, since I am a pretty high paragon player aswell.

If the spreadsheet is correct for lower paragons, there are XP patterns all the way down. Even the 122,400,000 pattern extends down to p750.

    >p750 = add 122,400,000 to previous lvl's xp req

    p701-750 = add 102,000,000 to previous lvl's xp req

    p651-700 = add 81,600,000 to previous lvl's xp req

    etc.

    p2-60 = add 1,440,000 to previous lvl's xp req

posted a message on Removing perma stun on wd and sader, What happens when trying to push higher levels?

With perma-cc removed and damage toned down I imagine high end progression will be a lot like speed gr's, just slowed down. That's only if they actually hit the mark on mob damage though, if they make it too high then all the dps will have to be classes that can be tanky without sacrificing much dps and maybe 1 glass cannon for RG dps.

I would love it if normal rift rg's were replaced with a pair of ubers that drop normal rg loot AND a full set of organs or if every elite became a keywarden. ie. anything to make it so that I don't have to farm keywardens for a day.
