Act 3 by a long shot. They should really make it possible to travel to other Acts and keep NV stacks, why they chose not to, I have no idea

And whats wrong with AH camping?

Well it's against the ToS for one. You can't use the AH as an "investment vehicle", which is what buying up items and reselling them is. Considering they won't ban obvious gold farmers, autohotkeys MF switchers, and paragon botters in a timely manner to make it not wortwhile to do so, I'm sure you can continue AH camping. The question I have for you is this: When Diablo 3 was released, were you really excited and couldn't wait to spend hours looking at a list of items?

You're completely wrong concerning the ToS and "investment vehicle." At its very basic definition, players would need to be buying items and holding them for an appreciation allowance; that is, buying things they believe will increase in value in the future to be resold. Purchasing something and immediately reselling it for a profit is not "investing," it's simply trading or buying and selling.

Perhaps there are players who actually invest real money into items in the hopes that they appreciate for profit in the future, but those types are few and far between, and most certainly not those being referred to when speaking of "playing the AH."

So please, stop using the term "investment" like it's a catch-all for buying and selling items. It's not. Even if it was, it's primary reason for being in the ToS is to cover Blizzard's ass if some scrub launches a civil suit against them for damages because he lost his pixels for whatever reason.

That is the reason Blizzard gave a guy who was doing nothing but "playing the AH". He initially thought he was banned for AH botting, but upon submitting a support ticket the reason for the ban was given that you can't use the AH as an investment vehicle. I fail to see how flipping items or holding them long term differentiates the fact that you are investing gold in order to make a profit, short or long term does not matter. Also, the post was not directed at you, and my question about if people were actually excited that D3 was out so they could look at a list of items and numbers for hours still holds true.

posted a message on I have to admit that 1.04 brought back my passion for Diablo

Yeah I do find it problematic that Act 3 is the only act worth farming. Can't wait to see what they have in store for 1.1 though.

If you are still progressing to Act 3, you will find upgrades and it will be worthwhile. If you are already geared decently and farming Act 3, it's not very rewarding. I don't think it's so much the drop rate as the rolls of those drops. Meaning I get plently of ilvl 63's and even a few legendary items sprinkled in once in a while, but they never roll even mediocre. I actually scrapped the last legendary that dropped for brimstone. The game needs more item diversity to make the time spent farming worthwhile, as of now it's kind of like playing the lottery with your time as the cost

posted a message on Why do gems give so little stats gain?
If there's any problem, it's that the gems are extremely expensive, possibly even more so than they intended. The reason I say this is the drop off of players was likely not anticipated, so they originally thought there would be a lot more people playing/farming and a lot more gems in circulation. Current cost for a Radiant Star emerald is 19-20mil, so often times these gems are as much or more than the gear you are putting them in. Kind of silly

posted a message on Do old legendary items updates to the new stats from 1.0.4 ?
The stats on old legendary items were not retroactively changed, they are now referred to as "Legacy" legendary items and everything after the patch uses the new stats.

Mortar goes above Waller now. Used to be cool hiding behind 1 meter tall walls while 10 guys are spamming mortar at you, oh well.

Wish I could launch Cluster Arrow over the walls like I used to pre 1.03 XD

Can't say for certain that it stacks, but definitely agree that it melts mobs and is awesome (offense out of your discipline side is really cool, especially with 1.03 Nat's)

posted a message on Is it even worth crafting anymore?
I have a 6 prop helm recipe. I pick up all blues and salvage for materials, and I would agree that the gold cost is a little on the high side @92K (approx) per helm. I've crafted say 50 (4.6mil) and had 1 sell for 10 million and several others sell for a few mil, and also kept a few. I think it's worth it if you pick up all magic items and salvage the lvl 60s (59 for ring, ammy, and follower token). That way you are not investing any money in materials, it's just kind of a side business to recycle some of the vendor trash.

Didn't know this was possible? Also didn't find any items with more than 3 on the AH, was there something about it in the patch notes?

In my experience the new girl will not want any toys that were used on an ex, just for sanitary reasons. Give them all to your ex, or junk them if you're bitter and petty.

Yeah who really gives a shit about this topic anymore? I'd equate it with seeing an ad for vaginal cream while you're trying to eat dinner. Whatever gossip queen virgin that started it should probably just change those panties and grow up already. I mean honestly...

No, but you had many people telling you that they clicked on the link and it went to his actual Facebook profile, but acted extremely pompous and refused to believe it. That's okay though, I always knew I wasn't lying, despite your insinuations otherwise. It's okay that you were skeptical I guess, this is the Internet after all, but it was kind of frustrating. I liked Jay's post, and think his head is in the right place, even if he did react rather poorly initialy. That's just part of being human and sometimes having a knee jerk emotional response to something versus a well thought out one. The only difference is that now everyone knows about it, in the past it was just your close friends or whoever you happened to be speaking with at the time.
